If that is not enough, the estate is situated in a botanical setting with an easy stroll to stunning ocean beaches, bars and the main resort restaurant - which, let's face it...... almost everyone else has to drive to or hike up a hill to get to!

With two elegant Master Suites and an additional Guest Bedroom, this contemporary Colonial home is designed to make you feel presidential. Each master suite opens its doors to a private balcony and panoramic views of the rolling hills of the island and Caribbean Sea. The open floor plan, soaking tubs, and king size beds provide comfort for those with high standards.

When not in pandemic mode, guests are encouraged to ask if there is space available for resort activities including snorkeling, scuba-diving, rum-punch parties with live music and even the occasional cave party!

The home is a leisurely two minute walk to the main resort reception/bar and restaurant but also far enough away to provide privacy and comfort being the only property on Emma's Drive.

Wow. Stunning AND Relaxing

Our first impression was how incredibly clean the house was - walking in really has a "wow" factor. Like others who have posted reviews, we couldn't decide if we liked the "East Wing" or the "West Wing" better and I had baths in both whilst savoring the different outlooks. The views literally are panoramic. Access to the resort amenities and pools meant dining was simple but make sure you rent a car to explore the rest of the island. Will be back.

Beautiful Home -- Relaxing Vacation

We stayed at the White House on Long Island for a week at the end of January. Emma was a gracious and helpful host and the home was beautiful. We appreciated a kitchen that allowed us to cook a few of our meals and comfortable beds for our stay. Our group consisted of two couples and the house was a great size for us - maybe even a little larger than we needed. The only unexpected was that there was only one shower, but we were never in a hurry so it didn't matter. Thanks Emma for sharing your home in Long Island - one of the most breathtaking places in the world!

Great house

White House is large, plenty of room and kitchen was huge. Everything was clean. AC worked great and keeps House very cool. Long Island is an interesting Island, lot of things to see and do, car is a requirement to get around. Grocery stores are well stocked and the people are helpful and friendly. Had a blast at rum punch party at the resort one night. If you are looking for vacation in out island Bahamas, you can’t beat White House on Long Island. Miles of white sand beaches and you will probably be the only ones there. We had a small problem with grill and Karin and Robert were there soon to fix it, Nothing negative I can say but prepare for bugs with bug spray. Great vacation

Absolutely perfect!

Emma (owner) and Karen (manager) were both friendly, helpful, extremely knowledgeable about tge island, and timely. They truely treated us like family. The experience with them and their recommendations couldn't have been better. Long Island was gorgeous. It is raw and natural. My family and friends stayed for 5 days. As ambitious as we were, we didn't see half of the island. A rental car is necessary as the island is, appropriately named, long. There are plenty of great places to eat and some of the best beaches I've seen (I've been to Bermuda, Tahiti, Seychelles, Hawaii, and 10 other Bahamian islands to name a few for comparison). For my family, it was the perfect mix of activities and rural, raw country. There are onland caves, deans blue hole, an abandoned resort, a beautiful active resort... the list is too long. Go and have fun! If you are flying your own plane, the White House is a perfect place to stay.

Tranquility awaits

Our Long Island visit was primarily a large family vacation ( we were 20 in total ) in Stella Maris. The White House proved easy from the airport, was comfortable for the four adults and more than met our needs. The owner gave tons of tips and the support of Karin, our host was excellent. House was well equipped, not lavish but suitable for island life. Would return!

Best Kept Secret

From my initial inquiry about The White House, Emma was very accommodating and responsive. The house was beautifully decorated with all the things you may have needed for the stay.....including an arsenal of bug spray and sun screen lol. We enjoyed the home, enjoyed the breeze and ohhh that upper deck (reminiscing🥺). Our contact person Karin was extremely welcoming and hospitable. We called her over to assist us with the stove because for life of us we couldn’t get it to work (lol) and she came right over and gave us a tutorial. She even gave us a hand of homegrown bananas. Overall experience was excellent and will definitely be renting The White House again in the future.

We really enjoyed our stay ! The White House was very modern and very clean . Emma has done her homework . The White House has everything you will need while on your vacation ! Very spacious home for everyone to have space. The beds are super comfy . The WiFi worked great . The house was very cool and comfortable . Long Island has so much to do . We stayed 3 weeks and still didn’t have enough time to do everything . Everyone on the island is so friendly the people wave as you pass by . There is so many different beaches , caves , ruins , Columbus monument, deans blue hole , farmers markets and so much more to do . Emma was always available for any info on the island we needed . And I can’t forget to mention Karin . She is Emma’s helper and she is super helpful as well . She shared so much for us to do and see on the island . She was always available for help as well . Long Island is so safe , friendly it makes it really hard to go home . We took a ferry from Exuma Bahamas to Long Island rather then fly and it was an extra adventure for the trip as well . We also went to the farmers market which we really enjoyed . The locals brought the handmade or homegrown goods to be sold . It is a must do while in the island . They have done a lot of work at the Columbus monument making it so much easier to get to it . Long Island is such a family friendly place to go. We are already planing our next trip . Can’t wait to return and we will for sure return to the White House . Thanks again Emma and Karin for making our stay so awesome !!

Your overall cheery personality and hospitable demeanor made working with you a pure pleasure from start to finish. Great Accomodations

Emma thought of everything to make this home a home away from home. Importantly, the bedding is comfortable, and the air conditioning works like a dream. The house is spacious and has everything you need for staying somewhere more than a few days. Although not located on the water it's only a three minute walk away. Being near the Stella Maris Resort is a real plus.

Fantastic Rental

The White House is a beautiful home, with a modern style that is a unique find on Long Island. It is located on the northern part of the island near the resort in Stella Maris and a quick 15 min drive to Cape Santa Maria which has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world...and that's not just my opinion, it is literally ranked one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! The house had all new appliances, luxurious deep bathtubs, air conditioning, a grill for outdoor cooking if you want, two master suites with large balconies, and beautiful views of the water and foliage from each bedroom. We have visited Long Island before but stayed in a more southern part of the island, which was also amazing, but it was a treat to see this part of the island too. There was snorkel equipment at the house already, and if you are here why wouldn't you snorkel?! The people are very friendly on the island, and all seem to know each other so it is a close community. The property managers are excellent at helping you get situated on the island and are willing to arrange excursions for you if you want. If you are traveling to Long Island you need to rent a car, it's not really optional because the only thing in walking distance from the house are beaches and the Stella Maris resort. If you want to buy your own groceries or go to any of the other amazing beaches available you will have to drive. It's not bad though, the island is small so there are no stop lights and it doesn't take too long to get places. I'd also recommend using bug spray, which the house thankfully had plenty of available. The price you pay is so affordable, it almost seems too good to be true. Compared to some of the resorts it is less expensive, but you get more space and privacy, so I'd say this house is the better deal. My trip include myself and one other adult, so we each had a master suite to ourselves. However, the two masters have king beds and there is a twin bed with a trundle bed in the downstairs room so it could easily sleep six people.

Amazing Vacation Spot with Awesome Views & Style

Like many vacation rental homes, photos do not do justice! This holds true for The White House. We were pleasantly surprised at the spaciousness, quality of amenities available, and the views really are amazing. The home is very comfortable and inviting with designer furnishings like the never-want-to-leave king size beds. We loved cooking in the large kitchen with brand new appliances and an array of utensils. The house is a short walk to beautiful beaches, rock pools, and just 2 blocks from the Stella Maris Resort which made it very convenient to walk over for dinner, listen to live music, swim at the pool, and take our children to the beachfront playground. Nearby is Cape Santa Maria and Columbus Monument which made it easy to mark these on our bucket list along with the deepest blue hole in the world and snorkeling coral reefs in truly the most beautiful waters in the world. We enjoyed fresh local lobster on the grill while having drinks on the patio and watching the sunset over the Caribbean ocean. This was a once in a life-time moment for us. We are already planning our next trip to stay again!

There is something about Long Island that calls people to her. I always say to everyone that Long Island finds you - not the other way around. I had spent my life looking for the "where", travelled the globe and then came to Long Island. Really that sums it up. If you haven't been to Long Island, think 1970's Fiji mixed with a "can do" attitude. Nature is abundant and the sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking. Every one.

Why they chose this property

On the 46th hour of a 48 hour trip to Long Island, I saw her.... The White House - an absolute shell of a building, perched on a hill that was just over run with long grass and weeds.... years of neglect showing...Sight unseen on the inside, it was that "something" that just meant "yes". From the funkiest floor plan to have to workaround to opening her up to the spectacular views she holds from every angle, she was a project! NOTE... I am a bath lover... so each of the master suites has a full soaking tub with a handheld shower... the downstairs has the only full shower.....Something about having a glass of wine while watching the sunset that seems just a MUST!

What makes this property unique

To have the amenities of Stella Maris Resort at your finger tips wasn't something I really considered prior to purchase - however..... 2 bar areas, fabulous boardwalk, great coastal road for long walks...all fantastic ... but it is the people and the community of tourists mixing with residents that make the conversations, the friendships, the laughs and anecdotes that bind people here for 40 plus years... the company if you want it, the solitude and bliss of peace and quiet in equal measures if you don't.

Long Island itself? A little piece of heaven... Stella Maris? Home.....
