Often described as a DIY summer camp experience for all ages, welcoming individual stays, families, and groups of all sizes. Each 3 bedroom cabin can accommodate up to eight guests. Guests may book a single cabin, multiple cabins, or reserve the entire property, and we never charge any extra event fees.  The property can accommodate events with up to 300 people on site, with 100 staying overnight.

Each cabin includes its own private charcoal grill. The only hot tub on the property is located at Cabin R and is not a shared amenity.

Starlight Horizon is located approximately eight minutes from Canyon Lake and the marina, where guests can rent boats and jet skis. Wineries, bars, taverns, and dancing are about 15 minutes away. The Guadalupe River is roughly 20 minutes away for tubing and floating, and New Braunfels and San Marcos are each about 25 minutes away.

Pets are welcome throughout the property with no pet fees. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Events and parties are allowed, with additional flexibility available for full property buyouts.

Starlight Horizon sits in the Texas Hill Country near Canyon Lake, which is one of our favorite parts of the area. The setting feels peaceful and removed, yet many of the most popular Hill Country attractions are just a short drive away.

Canyon Lake Marina is only minutes from the property and is a go-to spot for renting boats, jet skis, and paddleboards or spending the day on the water. The Guadalupe River is nearby for tubing and floating, with several well-known outfitters and river access points close by.

We also love how close we are to Hill Country towns and entertainment. New Braunfels is about 25 minutes away for dining, shopping, and nightlife, and historic Gruene is nearby for live music at Gruene Hall or concerts at Whitewater Amphitheater. Wineries, breweries, casual bars, and local restaurants are scattered throughout the area, many within a 10–20 minute drive.

What really sets this location apart for groups is the balance. Guests can spend the day on the lake, river, or exploring Hill Country towns, then come back to a property designed for relaxing, grilling, swimming, and spending time together. Nights are quieter, the skies are darker, and it’s easy to slow down without feeling isolated.

Starlight Horizon was designed specifically for groups who want to stay together without feeling cramped or crowded. Instead of a single large house, the property features 14 standalone cabins spread across 5 acres, giving guests both shared gathering spaces and private accommodations.

Each cabin is fully self-contained with real kitchens, living areas, private patios, washers and dryers, and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Cabins are spaced roughly 20 feet apart, which makes it easy for groups to move between cabins while still having privacy when they want it.

What truly sets the property apart is how well it works for group stays of all sizes. Guests can book a single cabin, a small cluster, or reserve the entire property. Full property buyouts provide exclusive access to all cabins and shared amenities, along with added flexibility for events, retreats, weddings, and custom group experiences. For larger groups, we can even set up room blocks so guests can book and pay for individual cabins while still being part of the same private group stay.

The shared spaces are intentionally designed to bring people together. The pool, fire pits, outdoor dining areas, grills, lawn games, hammocks, and gathering areas create a relaxed, social environment that feels like a DIY summer camp for adults, families, and groups, all year long.
