Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
This property presents well in photos. However, it’s on the outskirts of German Town and the area doesn’t give off a safe vibe. It was beyond dirty. Mild in the tub, with a dirty liner as a curtain. The kitchen smelled of mildew and was worse in the morning. There was a roach crawling on the kitchen floor in the morning as well. The bedding was stained. I slept in my clothes on the edge of the bed. The host was VERY responsive and provided a credit for the unused night of the reservation.

Weekend in town for a bridal shower. House was perfect for what we needed. Enjoyed the yard in the evening. The beds were so comfortable, one of the guest now wants to buy the same mattress.

The modern look bought to the old world charm.
I wasn't able to stay my whole 3weeks at the property but next time I will book my whole stay there
This was a very clean house. The host was great with communication. He checked in on us a few times to make sure things were going well and we didn't need anything. The property is close to restaurants and shopping. The beds were comfortable. The living room was a little small for our group but we were able to use the kitchen chairs and sit in the doorway. Also the driveway is behind the property and it's a little bit of a tight turn. It didn't really affect us but I think a large vehicle would have a little trouble getting in and out. This was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay in German Village. It really is a special part of Columbus! The location was conveniently off the highway but also within walking distance of Schiller Park and other German Village attractions.Overall, the location fit the bill. We needed a space to enjoy in the morning and late at night after a day out exploring the city. The house has 3 comfortable beds and the other amenities as described. The living room and kitchenette are not the most comfortable places to hang out, even with a group of 3. We preferred the patio for longer conversations.
The place was great, but the second morning the shower leaked downstairs into the kitchen. I would also suggest a rug to wipe your feet when you walk in the door. It was raining. You could also add more plates (only 6) and only one bowl. Otherwise everything was nice and when I contacted the management they responded well.
Out stay was hugely disappointing. Here's a list of lies told to us by the owner: located in German Village, 2 bathrooms, someone will come tomorrow to fix the broken toilet, you will have a unique code for the door, nobody was at the property while you were out, and lastly - we're working on a solution.
Had the home been advertised honestly, we probably would have stayed somewhere else. That being said, the home isn't inherently awful though would have been more comfortable with less animal hair and toenail clippings from previous guests.
We were repeatedly told that there WAS a second bathroom but was unaccessible due to plumbing issues. This is a blatant lie because the half bath pictured in the listing clearly has a window right next to the toilet. That image cannot be from inside this home as a quick walk around confirms all the windows accounted for and NOT next to a toilet.
Some things we liked were: games for my kids to play and cozy blankets and pillows in the rooms.
All of the issues really stem from the fact that this property is managed by a property management company that does not perform due diligence. No one that I spoke to has ever been to this property. There is clearly miscommunication between the property management and the owner. You guys need to have a frank conversation about this property and your working relationship. One of the parties involved is being deliberately deceptive and *I* would not do business with someone who lies to me.
