We enjoyed our stay at the quaint cabin! Our hosts were very helpful and made sure the cabin had everything we needed. There were even homemade cookies waiting for us on our arrival. We loved watching and identifyjng all the flora and fauna. Great little place for a quiet weekend getaway!
Just needed a quick get away from work & responsibilities. Wanted to sleep in and eat out. The peacefulness was refreshing. Loved watching the wildlife. Anything that would have been needed was there.
Excellent property that allowed peace and quiet, while being within reasonable distance of all the activities. The only complaint I would have would be the bed -- too soft for my old back. But, you know what, I still slept like a log!! Cabin was spotless, property was secluded from the outside world, onsite host was available without being intrusive, and we really hated to leave.
Hospitality was outstanding, very peaceful, beautiful sunsets and nature all around. Property, cabin and amenities were perfect. Thanks to Larry and Patsy.
This was our second stay with these nice folks. A really good way to enjoy the Texas Hill Country without being too far out in the boonies (though it is 17 miles from the closest gas station!). Lots of deer to see and shoot...with your camera, of course!
This is a great place to truly get out in the country!
Not far from civilization, you really feel off the grid here. You are truly out in the Hill Country of Texas. The cabin is cozy, yet you have room to think! The amenities are nice - full kitchen, bbq pit outside for your use and a screened porch to enjoy a Texas evening , under the stars, protected from the bugs. Lots of deer - bring a camera.
The road towards the property is gorgeously decorated with wildflowers and vegetation that we have not seen before. The doe and the deer all around it made us want to sing that famous Sound of Music Song but in a whisper so as not to destroy the serenity around this quaint cabin. The cabin itself has everything you need to have a relaxing stay. The owners also took the time to make the stay safe and quiet but with constant surprises from nature!
We loved our stay. It was remote, peaceful and quiet. Be sure and bring a good book. The cabin was clean and had all the conveniences of home, even a stove w/oven. Deer were grazing all around us. We would use it again.
While in the heat of summer, we had fantastic breezy evenings under a fantastic canopy of stars. It was so quiet and peaceful and was the perfect solution to step away and recenter for a few days.
It is a relaxing beautiful location. Beautiful sunsets and love all of the deer
Peaceful beautiful accommodating

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
Right on top of owner
The cottage was clean but you have absolutely no privacy. You are pretty much in the owner’s driveway, which I believe should be disclosed. He blocks off the loft area that you think you have access to. It says it sleeps4 but that is if you sleep 2 on a sleeper sofa that you have to ask the owners for bedding for. They charge more for 4 people even though it advertises it sleeps 4. The property is pretty but I like a tad of privacy and knowing what I am getting into. The owners were nice but the property is a cabin in their driveway. We alsways book cabins so we can have a fire and look at the stars but even though the fire pit was usable during a burn ban the owner asked us not to use it. Waste of a trip for me.

This guest failed to read the provision in the listing that the rate included 2 guests and that there is a $25 per guest per night additional fee. We don't leave sheets for the sleeper unless someone lets us know ahead of time that there will be more than 2 guests. We did not know there were 4 guests until they showed up in two vehicles.
The burn ban does not allow us to have any outside fires. These guests were advised of this however we made an exception for them to grill outside if they did so in the gravel driveway and totally put out the coals with the garden hose.
It was regretful that we had this misunderstanding which would have been avoided had the guest fully understood the fees that were disclosed in the listing prior to the booking of this cabin. This has not been a problem before with other guests.
While the cabin is located across the driveway from our house, we make it an effort not to invade our guests privacy. Again, this is the first complaint we have had regarding the location relative to our home's location.
We are regretful that these guests were dissatisfied with their stay.

It was a very great time. The hosts were very pleasant and accommodating.
The property was beautiful and the cabin and grounds were enough for what we were looking for. We really enjoyed the time away and would recommend this to our friends. The hosts were very sweet and didn't bother us during our stay. But they were available if we were to need them. Thank you for the great, relaxing weekend.
