We are near railroad tracks. You will hear the trains sometimes.

This house is excellent. Beautiful view great location. Hostess is amazing. This VRBO is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. I have stayed in many across the country. Near many WV state parks and fun things to do. Read the hostess book for ideas near the house. Would stay again! She even had home made cookies when we arrived. You will not be disappointed in your stay at Herons Cove!!

Second time here, amazing place! Owners do it right and you have everything you need, beautiful place on the New. General store has great food, definitely coming back.

The place was great. They gave everything you need to feel at home with all the little extras. Very responsive and accommodating to our beds and helpful with the bad weather we had while there.

Trains and Awesome views….. we loved this place….more than expected and driveable distances to hiking …. Shopping and food / drink…. Loved the convenience of a little convenience store and restaurant next door. Trains come by day and night…loved to hear the whistle blow .

Family trip

We had a great time the location to Winter Place and shopping was great. Being right on the river was beautiful. The homemade cookies my family really enjoyed and knew we was bringing our puppy they even left treats. Will definitely come back.

By far the best house we have stayed in . Everything was amazing . The fresh baked cookies , treats for our dogs and mints by each pillow at check in , such a great touch . They supplied everything you need or you may have forgotten . Hand soaps , dish soap and sponge, toothpaste, laundry detergent, shampoo, conditioner, body wash . 2 bundles of firewood . … the hosts have thought of everything !!! The house was just as described. Perfect size for our family of 6 and 2 dogs . The dogs loved watching the cat next store from the deck . Everything so clean !!! The house in a perfect spot on the river with 2 towns 20-30 minutes away . Close to all the amazing state parks , which are all a must see . The general store near by was also great . They had everything you may need as well . The food was outstanding… we all ate there several times ! Breakfast burrito , crispy chicken sandwich and homemade pudding all must haves !!!!! The staff all friendly and helpful . My daughter’s car had an issue upon arrival. They suggested a shop in Hinton to get it fixed . Host is very responsive when messaged . Will definitely stay again !!! Having the train going by multiple times a day was great as well . All in all a great house in a perfect location with amazing hosts !!! Thank you for sharing your home !!

The property was like new. Very clean and modern. It is located on the New River, which was awesome. The property is near Winter Place snow skiing.

Beautiful views

This house exceeded our expectations. It had enduring we needed and more. watching the sun set off the back porch was amazing. We loved having the general store right next door. The trains going through all night long is something to get used to but we listened to ocean sounds and that helped. My son thought it was great to watch the trains go through.
