Our little 1920's craftsman bungalow in San Antonio, Texas is located in the historical district of King William which is part of the lively Southtown Arts district. We are within a short walking distance of the tourist hotspots - The Alamo, Riverwalk, and Hemisphere Park (approximately 1 mile). But if you're not in the mood to walk, the Via Culture bus #11 stop is steps from our front door - this will take you through downtown and even out to The Pearl. It runs until 11pm. There is also BCycle station close by for bike sharing. There are loads of great restaurants, bars, and specialty breweries close by as well and all are within walking distance of the bungalow. You are steps from the action, yet if you choose to stay in, you have a quiet, private little oasis at your disposal.

About Christine Becksted
My husband and I have lived in many different countries and are avid travellers. We are smitten with our little neighborhood of King William because of the history, the walkability of the area, the quality restaurants, cafes, and bars right outside our door and the ease of getting to and from the airport. We think it's the best part of San Antonio and hope you will feel at home in our little bungalow.
Why Christine Becksted chose Downtown
We love the bungalow because it is tucked away on a side street but still right in the middle of everything. The craftsmen style with the original long leaf pine floors add to the charm of this unique home.

Fiesta Get Away!
We stayed here for the last weekend of fiesta! Perfect location - everything within walking distance. Home is quiet and charming!
A great place!
The house has everything you could possibly need for a stay in SA. It was
nicely decorated, well-equipped, has great location near restaurants and bars,
and just few blocks walk to River Walk. The outside patio is filled with
lovely plants and flowers. We spent almost every evening there after returning from our days' adventures. Again, A GREAT PLACE!
Would stay again.
Great little house. Neighborhood has lots of restaurants. Walking distance to River Walk/Alamo. Would stay again.
Very clean, safe, private, safe
This bungalow was perfect for our stay. It was in between the Alamodome and the riverwalk! We had easy access to both. Several restaurants were in walking distance as well. Loved it!
Great House in a Great Spot
We were optimistic based upon location and reviews, and our stay exceeded expectations. This house is well preserved, and thoughfully provisioned. Very comfortable for 2 couples. Downtown and all the action is really close, and Alamo Street is a hoot to explore right out the front door. We scored on this one!
As Nice As advertised
This is a charming and well-decorated house which was exactly as described. It was in easy walking distance to multiple eateries and lovely historic homes. The Riverwalk was easily walkable or a $6 Uber ride away. Everything you need is there—from shampoo to qtips! Highly recommend!
We are located in the heart of the King William Historic neighborhood and the Southtown arts district. The Alamo and Riverwalk are about 1 mile away.
