Vicky's Place is a completely renovated 1950’s home in downtown San Antonio. This gorgeous ground floor, two bedroom, two bath home is beautifully furnished with whimsical hand painted furniture and tastefully decorated. The home has all new modern appliances, cable TV, Wii, and private parking. Located only .3 m from the riverwalk and a short walk to all downtown attractions. This home was renovated to be an AirBnB with all modern conveniences and amenities incorporated. Please enjoy!!

Wife and I stayed with some good friends and couldn’t have been more pleased. Property was very clean, homie and well decorated. Had all the necessary items that you would need and then some. Property was in a great location for walking or a short car trip to popular sights. Host was very good in being available when we needed her. Definitely would recommend and our first choice for next visit to San Antonio!

We loved staying at this house. It was very charming and perfect for our stay. We easily walked to the museums to the Riverwalk to the Alamo and several other places. The kitchen was well stocked for anything we needed and working with the host was very, very easy we would highly recommend this place if you’re coming to San Antonio.

The house was great and well stocked. Vicky takes care of everything for her guests! We really enjoyed the home and it was convenient to so many areas of San Antonio. Went to a local restaurant but missed the coffee shop across the park. Next time! Highly recommend!!

Great VRBO choice

We would recommend Vicky’s place to anyone wanting to visit San Antonio. It had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. This was our first trip to Texas and we were not accustom to the humidity! We were so happy the air conditioning and humidifier worked so well.

The location is too far to walk to Alamo Plaza & River Walk in hot weather! The furnishings are very comfortable and well decorated with lots of hand painted pieces. The kitchen could be better stocked if cooking is a priority. The neighborhood was very quiet. We would stay here again. The owner was very helpful and answered our inquiries promptly. ****

Wonderful place to stay for a conference!

We had a wonderful time staying at Vicky’s place for our conference at a nearby hotel. The place was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed! The location was perfect! Close to the Riverwalk and all the restaurants!

Vicky’s Place was a perfect home base

My wife, sister, brother in law and I spent 2 nights in San Antonio at Vicky’s Place. It was the perfect home base for our adventures. Many of the things we wanted to see were within walking distance. We loved all the artwork in the house and the living room and bedrooms were comfortable and it was nice to have separate bathrooms. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Vicky’s Place.

Many nice touches but a few problems

It was obvious that the owner wanted to create a unique and charming space for her visitors. Her artwork was bold and colorful. The hand-painted furniture was quaint and each was one-of-a-kind. The kitchen was well-outfitted and the appliances worked well. However, there were some problems we encountered as an older couple. The bed in the front bedroom is lumpy and the person sleeping on the left side feels as if he will fall off! We tried sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed and that was no better. The closet in that bedroom is small and the pole to hang clothes on is so high and close to the top shelf that it is almost unusable. The bed in the back bedroom is more comfortable but the bathroom there is tiny. The front bathroom is larger but has a high step up into the bedroom. It is marked but still dangerous for someone older. The front door entry code worked well -- a plus. The rather bright lights on the front porch came on automatically at night making it impossible for the front bedroom to be dark despite the blinds being closed.Overall, the apartment is cute. If I were much younger, I probably would have enjoyed it more and not been bothered by the problems we encountered. The location is excellent.

Howdy!! I'm Vicky Porter, retired Registered Nurse. I am a mother to 5 beautiful grown daughters, tons of grandkids, and wife to my hero, Retired Army Officer, Stewart Porter. As a hobby I paint furniture. So when my daughter Cesilie Carlton, (who owns the upstairs AirBnB "HighDiver House" in this building) and I went into the AirBnB business together, I was very excited to put my whimsical painted furniture into both apartments for others to enjoy. I put a lot of love in preparing this home for our guests. My goal is to make my house a comfortable and memorable retreat during their San Antonio stay. Thank you for staying. We hope your stay is as memorable as our efforts were in putting the place together.
