My wife and I, along with our dog, had a wonderful long weekend staying here. Mark and Kathlyne were so accommodating. We absolutely love the cabin! It was so welcoming and cozy. We loved everything about the place from the log cabin feel to the wood burning stove. It had everything we needed. Just bring food to grill and drinks to pour! We enjoyed our morning walks on the beach with coffee in hand. We loved watching our dog playing fetch on the large beach. Sunsets were truly amazing. The friendly, private community was so wonderful and is close to great attractions. We highly recommend this place!
We are fans of the area, specifically wilderness State Park, Legs Inn, and Headlands Dark Sky Park. This house was a little large for just two of us, but we were able to rent it for just 3 days. It would be perfect for a small family. Nicely decorated with a wonderful beachfront. Very much appreciated the WiFi to download our digital newspapers. We had received an email from the owners confirming our reservation, but we missed the email with the key code. When we hadn’t heard anything an hour before we were to check in, we called. Thankfully, Mark picked up right away and was very helpful.
We truely enjoyed our stay at this cottage.
It's practically at the end of the civilization, but not quite because this cabin has wireless service. The beach is gorgeous.
We really enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing Very nice beach.
Relaxing family vacation in a beautiful setting!
We had 6 adults and one dog on this northern Michigan trip. The home was beautiful and just as described. Very clean and easy to live in for the week. The weather was beautiful with only one rainy/stormy day so we were able to play on the beach and enjoy the beautiful fire pit area at night. We made a couple trips into Petoskey which was 30-40 minutes away and also enjoyed Mackinac island for a day trip (30 min or so away). The beach was amazing!
The only downside...
The wifi was weak when all occupants were attempting to connect. I had a remote online meeting I was unable to achieve but that was an unusual circumstance. The objective really is to get away from all the trappings of daily life, right? 😊
Finally, the chair handles on the chairs around the fire pit could use some repair as some were falling off but the chairs were still usable.
We had an amazing time and would definitely return! Thank you for an awesome week! 😍
This is a beautiful log style cabin with access to an almost deserted beach. Very rarely did we see anyone, which was good to take the dogs to play on the beach. Not too far away around the corner of the beach is a wonderful sheltered cove that is neat in and of itself. So many things to do in the area, you won't have time for everything. The owners/property manager had everything on hand that you would need including charcoal for the grill and firewood for the firepit (or wood stove in the winter). The WIFI is spotty and not strong enough to stream, but that turned out to be a blessing and it was nice to step back from technology for the trip (we even played Scrabble for the first time in forever). Overall it was a wonderful stay, and we would definitely come back again.
Dining, entertainment and shopping are within easy driving distance: The renowned Legg’s Inn is only 3 miles away in Cross Village. Harbor Springs and Petoskey with all of its quaint shops and restaurants is only 20-30 minutes away. Same for Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island.
