Heavenly Hideaway near Giants Ridge!

My husband Kerry and I grew up and have spent our entire lives on the Iron Range. We love to spend our free time on the ATV and snowmobile trails, especially since Kerry races sleds and is very successful at it. We have been breeding Newfoundland’s and German Shepherds for over 30 years so we have a fierce love for the animal kingdom which is why we fell in love with our home. Every morning and throughout the day, wildlife of all types visit the property.
I am certified in many areas of the animal field and also was a head vet tech for over 10 years. We have owned and operated our own dog boarding and training facility for over 20 years. Our entire life has been filled with canine love. My husband is also a laborer for the past 25 years and I am also a (human) Master Personal Trainer. We are very busy people! 🤗
We recently purchased the home 2 years ago, we absolutely fell in love with the property. However, the house needed a lot of help, more than one can fathom… but we took it on anyway.
For 2 years we worked non stop and have remodeled everything from the ground up. It has been a process, however we are thankful for the home we love so very much and hope you will as well.
We recently discovered some news that requires us to move in with my mother as she can no longer care for herself. We were heartbroken to think we may have to sell our dream home and especially how hard we both worked on it. We decided to put all options on the table and sharing our home with others to enjoy and experience was top on the list! We love that others can truly relish in the beauty of our private retreat and we can still hold onto our home and the memories it has created for us and for many others!

The scenery changes every day from looking out the numerous waterfront windows and French doors to the deck! One could never imagine the sky to be so many beautiful colors! The view never gets old!
We love the peacefulness, privacy and all the wild animals who visit daily. A true feeling of being solely with Mother Nature. Also, the fishing is fantastic as the fish spawn right past the house. There are rapids on each side of the lake and no public access so it is extremely private.
It is also only 3 miles to town for shopping, dining and nightlife. Only minutes away from Giants Ridge Ski & Golf Resort and ATV/Snowmobile trails right from our driveway!
Location of our home is wonderful, close to town yet 15 acres of complete privacy.

Words can not express the beauty of this property, it truly needs to be seen and experienced by oneself. The sky paints a different gorgeous picture each morning and evening and leaves us speechless at times. The sounds of nature sing daily without boat motors in the background. You truly feel one with Mother Nature.
The view from the spa room will also leave one speechless. Beauty at its finest.
