Fantastic place, wonderful location

The pictures don't do it justice. The place is big and airy with a nice outdoor space.

We were 4 adults and 2 kids in the house with plenty of room.

The place is clean and quiet. There is a train nearby but it doesn't seem to run during the night.

It's a very short walk (under 2 minutes) to butterfly beach, one of the nicest in Santa Barbara and, in the other direction, and under 2 minutes, to Montecito Village for cute shops and restaurants.

Kerry and his wife, the owners, live upstairs and were extremely helpful and very warm and welcoming.

We had family from out of town visiting Santa Barbara at the same time, another 6 adults and 2 children, and we had them over for an outdoor barbecue in the backyard with plenty of room for everyone.

We love this place and we'll be back next year for sure.

Great vacation spot - walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants

This place was lovely, clean and in a wonderful and safe location. We met the owners and they were very hospitable and friendly. Our family was attending a wedding at the Biltmore, which was only 2 blocks away. So this was a perfect spot for us to spread out in. We appreciated being in walking distance of beautiful Butterfly Beach, as well as being able to walk to a nearby drug store, cute shops, and great restaurants. It is on a somewhat busy street, with train tracks not far away, but there aren't that many trains that go through there a day. So we found it beneficial to use a noise machine app at night to block some of the street noise (mainly because we had warm weather and wanted our windows open). We had a great time and highly recommend this spot!

A little noisy

Location is great, close to small beach and shops. It is right off the highway so it is pretty loud. Cars seem to drive really fast through that street. The railroad tracks are also really close so be prepared for the constant train noise. We unfortunately had someone come into the condo and were robbed. The owners and myself were not able to figure out exactly what happened but it was extremely upsetting. If you stay please ask the owners to make you aware if anyone will be entering your condo in advance, I was not made aware of that.

Owner's Response: To clarify: The railroad tracks are located one block south of the property and there are six residences separating our unit from the tracks. The route is not heavily traveled and used primarily by Amtrak with less than 5 or 6 rail cars. We have not had any other complaints as most find the distant train whistle charming. The property is not located next to the highway and there is no highway noise. There is a 101 south bound exit that accesses Olive Mill Rd. At peak traffic hours there is some noise from the stop sign where the exit and Olive Mill intersect. Things got off to a rocky start with our guests who claimed they were missing a travel bag and an IPAD. This was and remains a mystery. We did provide our guests with a reasonable cash reimbursement and a letter offering a 50% discount for a future stay. We also did not charge our guests for a lamp and decorative accessory plate that were badly damaged. We hope this provides a helpful response for our future guests.

Property, location and owners are top-notch!

We stayed late July with our 2 young children and my parents. Our first impression was WOW! The house is renovated, clean and roomy, the backyard is great for the kids and the location to the beach was amazing. We walked down to the beach every morning and walked to downtown Montecito for coffee/breakfast and lunch! Kerry made sure our stay was fantastic. Also, having onsite laundry was an added bonus! Can't wait to come back!

Nicely updated apartment on main road

Beautifully updated and appointed ground floor apartment. Very spacious for a family of four. Nice outdoor patio, great for grilling. Short walk to both the beautiful Butterfly Beach and the main street in Montecito. Hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Unfortunately, its central location also means there is a lot of road noise from 101 exit ramp and freeway.
