We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed our time here. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. The check-in process was smooth. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions, restaurants, and shopping. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would gladly stay here again. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay.

Check in was great. Towels were clean but no wash cloths. Sheets were clean but had to make the beds. Wet towels and bedding in the washer from previous guests. Some trash cans were not emptied. Toilets needed cleaned as well as shower. Floors needed swept. Plates and silverware were clean but cupboards and countertops were not. Beds were ok. Pics on website are not recent. Place could be great with some updating and better cleaning. No checkout instructions. If you're a clean freak this is not the place for you.

The kitchen utensils/pots/pans could use some upgrades. There was no can opener. And limited forks/spoons. The beds hurt to sleep on. For the daily rate it was as described and would stay again if we come out to PA. We watched a movie on the outside porch tv and it was perfect!

We pulled into a gravel driveway to find garbage in the lawn by the shed, very tall grass, and a very soiled deck. With some TLC the first impression could be much better. The house indoors was clean, but the linens could have been updated. There were stains on the sheets (not sure if they were washed) and the towels were old. Kitchen was clean, but there were crumbs in every cabinet, and some sticky stuff inside the freezer. There was no contact information for the owner, nor were there any check-out instructions or instructions for the HVAC system.

Very quaint and nice little cottage. I feel the towels could have been a better quality and it could have been a bit cleaner. Overall, it was a nice place and I would stay there again.

The trash can was tipped over and trash on the porch. The outlet in the mainbath didn't work. There were no wash rags just hand towels and towels. Only had table spoons no teaspoons. Ice maker doesn't work. Several lamps didn't work. The string lights on the porch don't work. The water had a brown tint to it. No stopper for the sink.

Lovely location. Minutes from Jim Thorpe. Quiet, wooded surroundings. Clean and spacious rooms. We only stayed for one night but will keep this place in mind if we wvwr return to JT.

Cute little place but there was No heat in living area. Though the bedrooms have their own heating system. The upstairs toilet took a while to refill after flushing. It took some time getting the fire place get going. Maybe leaving a starter log would be helpful. The ceiling fan was FILLED with dust! Ok for a short stay.

Race weekend!

We came up for the Nascar race in June. The area is beautiful and the covered porch is almost as large as the main floor living area, which was nice for the evenings. The main complaints we had were that there was one central heating/cooling unit and no fans in the bedroom, and the grass was about mid calf high on adults, so the kids couldnt play in it. Fortunately we were mostly only there in the evenings. Also there were no check out instructions.Overall it was a nice place to stay.

Cute little house, would be great for a small family. We were there in November (highs in 30s) and the first floor was very cold. The split unit was set at 75 when we arrived - it was definitely that warm upstairs but downstairs was probably 60. We found a small space heater in a closet, that helped a little. Upgrade to heating (and probably A/C) needed for guest comfort. There was a fireplace but no lighter/matches or paper. Also no checkout instructions (trash, linens?).
Very inviting space.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Really loved the location. Areas to improve. Access to breaker box would have been nice. There were several outlets that were not working and we figured it to be a tripped breaker, but couldn'tfind one. Would also recommend wash rags. All we had were body and face towels. You should also fix your fireplace insert. The grate is broken and this caused it to be difficult to empty the full box of ashes. Things thatvwere positive. The fire place was absolutely wonderful. Really enjoyed the location and house. We will look forward to future retreats here.

It was fine

Cute house and had mostly everything we needed for one night. The beds were the only issue. Both beds were very uncomfortable and the sheets and pillow cases on the downstairs bed were ALL stained. It was unsettling to have to sleep on; thank goodness I brought a pillow.

Host doesn’t pay attention to details. Sinks drain very slowly. Fireplace tray full and dirty. I cleaned out tray and cleaned glass so we could use it. Tried contacting Joseph several times prior and during. No response. BBQ full of grease and dirty. Small grease fire in BBQ. I bought some items to clean it so we could safely use it. House is cute and comfortable. No checkout instructions. Location was great. Super quiet and tons of wildlife.
