Lovely Spot in the Berkshires

We visited for a week in August and had a great time. The house is located in a great spot close to all that Great Barrington has to offer, but also far enough out of town to feel away from it all. We really enjoyed the screened in porch and the fenced in garden.

Amazing rental in the Berkshires with an incredible bathtub

This rental in the Berkshires is beautiful. The master bedroom has an incredible master bath with a sunken Jacuzzi tub and a fireplace. It’s well located and close to Great Barrington with all the wonderful restaurants there. Close to beautiful hiking too.

This is the quintessential Berkshire home.We loved everything about this wonderful and spacious log cabin - creatively and beautifully decorated and landscaped and full of amenities. Above all, we so appreciated the warm, attentive and responsive hosts and caretakers. Our eight glorious weeks of enjoying it all ended too soon and our single disappointment is that it is not available for next summer because others have already staked their claim!Thank you, S, B and E!!!

place is beautiful…& you never experience a situation where the reality is better than the pictures…and bigger…& the kindness with all the provisions was over the top (there was milk & eggs, raisins & nuts for us!)…& the house is literally our dream of a retirement home

Wonderful week!

What a wonderful, cozy home with plenty of room for all. The photos don’t do this home justice! Gorgeous setting. Primary bedroom is extra special and waking up to a wall of windows looking out to the woods was a treat! Owner was extremely responsive and kind. We can’t wait for another trip back to this home!

Coziest cabin in the woods

My girlfriend and I spent nearly three months here with our two cats to escape Brooklyn during COVID and be in nature while working remotely. This house absolutely exceeded our expectations — the pictures do not do justice to the magic of this home. It is the perfect blend of cozy, rustic cabin vibes and modern upgrades. From the screened-in porch and backyard fire pit to the spacious den with an electric fireplace and the master bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and a wood-burning fireplace, there are many versatile spaces that each provide their own unique vibe and appeal. We loved the artwork and quirky decor throughout the home, and there are a bunch of games, books and cards for young families. For food lovers, this kitchen is a dream — plenty of room to spread out and make a feast, and well-stocked with oils, spices, pots/pans, knives and pantry staples. Coming from our tiny BK apartment, having two dedicated office spaces was huge for us — one in the master bedroom and one in the first-floor single bedroom. We brought our own office chairs, but the dining room table has six chairs to choose from as well. The den has a massive TV with all the streaming apps connected, and there is also one in the master, and there are Sonos speakers connected in every room of the house plus the backyard. The property itself is beautifully kept, with animal sculptures throughout, and the front deck was absolutely stunning in the fall, surrounded by trees and looking out into the woods. The view from the master and the screened-in porch was epic — the land drops down below, so you feel like you are suspended in the trees. There’s a ton of hiking trails just down the road, and plenty more in the surrounding area, plus some amazing restaurants in Egremont and Great Barrington. We couldn’t have asked for a better home to spend these last few months, and we couldn’t have asked for a better host. Stan was always just a text away if we needed anything (had a couple brief power outages in the area and a toilet leak) and he connected us with his lovely housekeeper Evelyn, who even helped me by setting up the house while we were out for a surprise proposal to my now fiancé. Needless to say, this home and our time here was very special to us. Perfect for couples, families, or friend gatherings. And we can’t wait to be back!

Great stay!

We had a great time coming back to GB, and this house was a big part of it. The property is beautiful. It had everything we needed, and more. Owner is super friendly too. We would love to come back in the summer again.

Glam Setting in the Berkshires

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay in this well-appointed log cabin. All the amenities one could want in a quiet, remote setting. Nice to have a cafe and market only 1.5 miles or so away.

Great house. Very comfortable, great beds and well appointed from TV options and reasonable internet to complete upscale cookware. Outdoor spaces are very good and private; sitting in the middle of the mature forest but close to town. Screened porch was great for us and felt like being in a big tree house. The home is certainly a unique and special place. Owner is professional in his dealings and the place was provided with everything we could need, and consistently of higher quality than one typically sees in a rental. No hassles and just a pleasurable time. We've rented dozens of homes and this one ranks near the top of the list. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Now we travel less and spend more time at the town dog park.
