Why Lynne Hondorp chose University North
Living most of our lives in Europe and the Middle East, we spent a year in Fort Collins in 2005 and fell in love with the community. Being close to Colorado State University in Old Town was our goal. We built this cottage in 2007 so that whenever we are in the US we would have a place that felt like home. We added landscaping and patios because we love being outside. We hand-carried ceramic tile from the Middle East to add a familiar touch to the kitchen and bathroom. Having hosted and been hosted by people all over the world, we place a premium on hospitality and have tried to ensure that this place has everything needed to enjoy your stay in Fort Collins.

This was our first VRBO and it was fantastic! The cottage is as clean as a whistle, comfortable, and has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The location was also terrific, close to old town and CSU. We not only loved the cottage but were able to enjoy the quiet outdoor space with a fire and barbecue. Highly recommend!
Very cute and very clean!
We really enjoyed our stay...close to all!
Relaxing oasis in the middle of Fort Collins
The cottage was just what we needed for our time in Fort Collins. The weather was great so we took advantage of the outside seating for a game or two. The location was close to Old Town and CSU. We had concerns that being so close to CSU on a football weekend might be noisy. Those concerns were completely unfounded. We would rent this cottage again.
Lovely Cottage, Perfect for Two
My husband & I could not have been happier, one of the best VRBO homes we've ever rented. As seniors, the walk to Old Town was a little too far, so we drove. Loved the shopping & restaurants! We didn't hear a peep out of the tenants in the front house. We felt very safe accessing from the back--our car was right outside the door with a large metal gate closing it off from the alley. The patio was so quiet & private & we enjoyed sitting in the sunshine. The sofa & big chair in living room was VERY comfortable & so was the bed. Everything impeccably clean & cute decor. Great bathroom! Owner Lynne was very responsive to questions about TV. You will hear the train whistle quite often at night, but it didn't bother us at all. This property is a gem!
Everything You Need and More
Everything you need for a wonderful visit. The linens are lovely and the kitchen and bath well-equipped (we ate out a lot and did not need a standard oven). It is quiet, clean, private and well-located for walking all over Old Town and CSU. It was hot during our stay, but the ventilation, air conditioning, fan options kept us cool and comfortable. Communication was very good and, in the end, we felt lucky to have found the property. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
The cottage was spotlessly clean, and had everything that we needed. The patio was charming and gave us the opportunity to grill a few times in our nine day stay. The location was convenient to almost everything that we wanted to do. We hope to return next year!
Walk or ride one of our cruiser bicycles to 'Old Town' for incredible restaurants, quaint shops and exciting night life.
