Near Sanibel and Captiva Islands by boat or car and close to restaurants, entertainment and shops. For the boaters, there is a dock where you can tie up your boat with water and electric at the dock. Please let us know if you plan to tie a boat up on the property. You can also fish right off the dock and catch “keepers” without even leaving the property. Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach beckon! There, you can enjoy beautiful beaches, the Sanibel light house and some of the best shelling in the world. Get there early and you'll find the shells that have become exposed from the previous tide, truly amazing finds. For nature lovers, there is Rotary Park which includes a dog park, butterfly house, playground, exercise stations, and amazing trails that will remind you of old Florida, part of the great Florida birding trail. Also, Ding Darling National Wildlife Preserve is there for the exploring. On the "near side" of Sanibel, Ding Darling is an amazing display of waterfowl and biodiversity.
