Beautiful and quiet spot - I stayed in the Gray Door room - small, but everything I needed for a couple days of rest. I appreciated the opportunity to do laundry, and the hammock close to the lake.
Lovely location. Near local lake & not too far from my husband's work. Unfortunately, it was loud & stuffy & wifi was down for a bit. Grateful for a place to stay without much notice, regardless. Blessed be. M & N
Chris hosted us for a short visit to the area. The room is clean and updated. The listing was accurate, and the bed was comfortable. I believe we were in the flight path for paine field but after a couple of early evening flyovers, it was quiet. The property is lovely and the view cannot be beat.
We were so grateful to get it we would not want to complain, but some positive feedback is this: We loved the lake (although the paddleboat was flooded), and the trees and yard. The room was extremely small & cramped, but the bed was fine. The microwave & fridge need to be put up higher, on a table or cupboard, because it's very hard to reach a fridge on the floor, esp. for older folks. We had to get down on our knees to access it. You could benefit from a better towel rack because when trying to get one towel down it fell into the toilet directly below! So we were low on towels. Helpful would also be to have more hand towels, & kleenex in the bedroom, which had the only sink, and another small shelf would help to place cups, toothbrush etc. Having a small fan did help, because being so small it could get stuffy in there, so we pulled the curtain over the door, and left it partly open for a while to get some fresh air. Sound of airplanes near dawn wasn't too bad, but hard on those who don't get back to sleep easily. It wasn't clear from the blurb that we would be right next to two other rooms in the same house, and the photo doesn't really look like what we saw, except there was a lake, nice walk & view From the parking space it was a little hard to navigate to the sidewalk and around the house to our space, but we managed.
