Welcome to our stylish and inviting Mid-Century Modern retreat! Designed by well-known architect Ron Molen and nestled in the quiet sought-after Westshire neighborhood, our single-level home is the perfect escape for those seeking a blend of contemporary comfort and timeless design. With 4 thoughtfully designed rooms, a beautiful indoor atrium, a loft bedroom, a sunken conversation area, and a spacious backyard, you'll find all the space you need for a memorable getaway.
The space
This home embodies the quintessential mid-century lifestyle, nestled in the West Valley neighborhood, a hidden gem renowned for its unique mid-century modern homes designed by Utah architect Ron Molen. Spanning 3000 square feet on a single level, this residence boasts expansive open spaces, ideal for hosting gatherings and family events. At its heart, a central indoor atrium, a hallmark of the architect's vision, floods the interior with an abundance of natural light and a soothing ambiance.

The house features four thoughtfully appointed and comfortable bedrooms, along with an entertainment room featuring a foosball table. The house is most comfortable for up to 8-9 adults and children. The indoor dining table comfortably seats 8, while the bar seating can accommodate 3-4 guests.

Conveniently located just minutes away from the conference center, the megaplex theatre, and Salt Lake Community College, and within a 30-minute drive to numerous ski resorts, including Snowbird, Alta, Solitude, and Brighton, this residence offers both a serene retreat and accessibility to a range of attractions and outdoor adventures.
Guest access
The whole villa is yours to enjoy. Please do not access the outdoor sheds.
Please don't access the door for the ADU (attached accessory dwelling unit) which is the door behind the basketball hoop in the driveway. That is a separate unit.
The fireplace cannot be currently used.
The laundry room pantry closet has cleaning supplies and other utilities we have made available to guests, if needed.

Parking: Please use the driveway and garage for parking. The garage clicker is in the cabinet left of the fridge. (Remember, no street parking.)
Other things to note
Important advisories -- PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING --

- LIABILITY WAIVER -
By booking the home, all guests and participants in events must agree to waive all liability for injury related to use of equipment including but not limited to kitchen, fireplace and gas appliances; and assume all risk for use of facilities. If this is not agreeable, the booking is void; the organizing guest must cancel immediately and notify the host.

-GUARANTEES AND REFUNDS -
By default, we do not issue refunds due to ordinary wear or temporary malfunction of equipment. We will make every attempt possible to ensure working appliances with appropriate communication. However, hosts make no guarantees of the functionality of all amenities.

- GENERAL RULES -
Violation of the following will result in removal from the property and loss of all booking fees. The host reserves the right to keep the full incidentals deposit if broken. Guests will additionally be held responsible for any damages and fines incurred.

- Absolutely NO OVER-OCCUPANCY: 9 adults and children are the absolute maximum.

- NO PARTIES AND NO LOUD NOISE. We strictly prohibit parties and excess noise over 70 Db (60 Db after 9 PM), and all outdoor music. If a neighbor complains, you will be asked to stop. On repeat complaint, you will be asked to leave, property management and/or police if necessary. All deposits, fees and booking costs will be forfeit. Tampering with the noise monitor is also grounds for removal.

- NO SMOKING, NO VAPING, NO MARIJUANA AND NO DRUGS anywhere on the premises. Smoking outside poses severe fire hazard on this property. Any evidence of smoking or drugs is grounds for forfeiture of the full security deposit. Excess use of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
Absolutely no fireworks, no fire, and no flammable devices are allowed, especially in the backyard.

- NO PETS due to the large amount of carpet.

- Please DO NOT park on the street, instead use the driveway or the two-car garage. NO EXCESS PARKING. The house safely accommodates 5 vehicles, 2 in the garage and 3 in the driveway.

- DO NOT FLUSH HEAVY ITEMS. We have a septic tank and delicate sewer lines. Only flush toilet paper. No wipes, cotton balls, tampons. Guests will be held liable for damages.

- PLEASE LEAVE THE HOUSE AS YOU FOUND IT. Don’t move large furniture. Moving small items (chairs, dining bench, bean bags) to accommodate your group is fine. Clean up after yourselves to make life as easy as possible for our co-hosts. Excess mess that prevents timely check-in of incoming guests will result in additional cleaning fees, forfeiture of up to the full security deposit at host discretion, and additional AirCover claims if necessary.


- HOUSE RULES -

- PLEASE REMOVE SHOES in the house; clean feet before stepping on carpets.

- PLEASE TAKE OUT GARBAGE. Trash is Monday morning.

- USE HOUSE AMENITIES AT OWN RISK. Exercise caution with fireplace. Turn off gas appliances when not in use. If you smell gas, contact hosts immediately. The top loft in the entertainment bedroom should be used at guests' own risk, and by only one person, maximum weight 180 lbs. Please use the provided rail guard. Our house is on a septic system which is delicate. Please refrain from disposing of food waste down the drains, as much as possible. Absolutely NO FLUSHING of feminine hygiene products, wipes or paper towels down the drain. In the event of a blockage, guests will be held responsible for any damages.

- FIRE EXTINGUISHER is in the garage next to the door going to the laundry corridor. If there is a fire, call 911 immediately and then call the owners. In case of kitchen smoke but not fire, open windows and doors.

- PLEASE CHECKOUT PROMPTLY BY 11 AM. $50 will be charged for every 15 minutes late, unless permission is given in advance. Clean and put away dishes. Leave dirty towels on bathroom floors and used beds unmade. Leave all clean laundry and bedding where you found it. LOCK ALL DOORS AND PLEASE KEYS IN THE KEY LOCK.

- For last-minute bookings, newer guests with no reviews, the host may request a $200 up-front incidentals deposit, separate from booking fees and the standard security deposit, to be paid through the resolution center. This will be refunded in full after checkout if there are no issues, minus incidentals.

This is a large home. There will occasionally be a few rough edges, bugs, and wildlife. We have regular pest service and aim to provide every modern convenience possible, but pests can and will make their way into the house and on the grounds. Hosts cannot guarantee a 100% pest-free experience at all times.
