About this property

Awesome Mountain Getaway Just 15 minutes from Angel Fire, in the forest!

Our 900 squarefoot apartment is beautiful and spacious. We added it on to our home in 2011. The apartment is separate from the rest of the house, you have your own driveway, deck and entrance. The apartment is attached, only by walls, not doors. Please note it is located on the second floor, above our garage.
The great room is open to the full kitchen that has everything you'll need, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, dish towels, coffee pot, toaster, blender and dishwasher.
The bedrooms are on either side of the bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a full size bed and a set of bunk beds. The other bedroom has a queen size bed. Basically a room for the kids and a room for the adults. All of the linens, pillows and blankets provided.
The bathroom has a shower/tub combo and single sink vanity. All of the towels are provided. Just bring your personal items, including toiletries.
You have your own, private deck where you can sit outside at a table with chairs or on the glider.
Feel free to play horseshoes or basketball in our back yard. We also have a "club house" and trampoline that our son will share. (I'll ask you to sign a waiver to use all of the fun outside stuff.)
We are a kid friendly property. We do ask that you leave your animals at home as we have 2 dogs that will enjoy your company and 2 outside cats that you may see stalking around, and we wouldn't want any conflicts.
I also own 2 slope side condos right on the hill in Angel Fire, both on the Ski Run Condo Complex. both are studios that sleep 4. Look up 1000702 and 492829.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Beautiful Stay

Such a gorgeous location and was such a great stay. Heather was very welcoming and was very easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know going into Angel Fire.

We loved our stay here! The property is so nice with amazing scenery. The house is the perfect size for our family of 4 with older kids. The owners are very friendly and answered any questions we had before and during our stay. We will definitely be back to stay here again!!

Perfect getaway

We loved staying in this cabin for our ski vacation. The property was as described, or better, and we had everything we needed. The beds were firm, but comfortable. The cabin was immaculately cleaned. We would absolutely stay here again!

Scenic mountain getaway

This scenic mountain stay is just a short drive ourside of town. The rental is situated on a beautiful five acres with plenty of wildlife to observe and a very friendly four legged paw friend! We came with a party of six and had plenty of living space. It's nice to get away from the compact condos. We look forward to our next stay here.

Ski Trip

Our family enjoyed the beautiful scenery where the property was located, and the owners were extremely helpful with any requests we made. The apartment was clean and tastefully decorated, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook a meal. The ski slopes were just 15 minutes away, and we liked the security of the property along with the seclusion it offered. We will definitely book another stay at this property.

We had an excellent experience at Heather’s property! We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The property has many fun amenities that our kids loved. When one of our children got sick during our stay, the homeowners went above and beyond to help. It was really nice that they were close by, yet we still had our own space and privacy. We definitely recommend staying here!

ski holiday

the town of angelfire does not have much to offer except long waits at the few restaurants available. knowing most meals are kitchen-prep or take-away, being a little outside of town is an easy way to save money. The apartment is 2 bedrooms with a good family area of couches, tables, and kitchen. We did not use the outdoor amenities much as it was snowing, but it looked like a good place for a non-winter visit too.

Quiet woodsy retreat

Heather’s place was great. It was about 15 minutes from town and the ski resort. We loved the privacy of being out of town where it was quiet and not stacked up in a condo complex with tons of other people. The drive every morning into town and home after skiing was beautiful and scenic. Even though the apartment was small, we never felt crowded. It’s very open and family friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Very Nice!

We absolutely loved this place. Yes it was south of Angel fire but you weren't crowded with other people. It was a nice escape. Heather was very nice and communicated well with us. I had zero cell service there and Angel Fire but we were on vacation so I didn't need it. This apartment was clean and roomy! Loved the furniture as it was enough seating for our family. We can't wait to go back!!

Beautiful, Tranquil, Perfect family vacation

This property is by far our family's favorite of the three places we have stayed in Angel Fire. It is just a few minutes' drive from the mountain, which we found worth it to be a bit more isolated from everything. The kids were able to explore the property in the snow, and enjoyed all the play equipment out back. Having left our dogs at home, it was nice to have the dogs greet us every day. They were absolutely precious. The family lives there in the main house below the rental unit, but do not let this scare you away! We had complete privacy, yet were able to text or call if we needed anything, such as running out of toilet paper. Yes, that happened, but we have a larger than normal family. Heather was so kind as to hang a bag with toilet paper on the bottom of the stair rail after I let her know we had run out. We appreciated the owners so much that we really wanted to meet them when it was time to leave. They came out and we all had a good visit with them. Lovely family, lovely place! We plan to return again and again!

Amazing Mountain Getaway

Very Spacious and Cozy. Do NOT let the 9 miles from Angel Fire deter you from renting this home. The drive to town is so short and beautiful. We have rented in AF before and I have to say that this home is new and much nicer and cleaner than any condo you can rent in town. The home was spacious and compfortable for all of us. Two Adults and three children (11,6,6). It is very clean and feels much larger. The owners of the house were fantastic, making our stay extra enjoyable. The property is very kid friendly and the owner's two dogs were amazing and made us feel at home. We would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone!!! We would give this home and the owners ten stars!

This property offered us a perfect weekend! Our 3 kids had lots of land to explore, a kid- friendly yard, private accomodations, VERY friendly dogs who loved my kids! The inside was clean, spacious and beautiful. Fireplace, wood floors, cozy living room, full, up-dated kitchen. Very friendly owners, beautiful location, very quiet! "best vacation ever!"

My husband and I met in Angel Fire about 17 years ago. We started our family and our business Dale Jackson Custom Building 12 years ago. We build houses, do remodels, decks, additions and spray foam insulation....just about anything involving tools!
We are honest, good people. What you might like to know is that our family includes 2 outside kittys, 2 fish and 2 crazy, fun loving dogs!

Why they chose this property

Our apartment is far enough out of town to give you even more of a mountain feel. It's quiet, minus the coyotes howling, the owls hooting and the sounds of elk bugle! You are able to park your toys are our house and no one will bother them. If your hunting and you need to park the 4 wheelers or extra vehicles, it's not a problem. We enjoy the outdoors just as much as everyone else....we know it comes with a lot of extras!

What makes this property unique

Our apartment is located on the second floor, it is one flight up...just incase you don't do stairs! When you rent our property, you can relax! We are out of town and love it! When you come during the winter, a 4 wheel DRIVE IS A MUST!
