Mountain Sun House
beautiful views and close to chico. It was a lovely house with big open rooms.
We loved Abrams house.
Abram is an artist and every part of the house displayed his talents. The master bedroom has big and numerous windows looking out at the mountains and the sunrise. For a few glorious minutes you see the sky turn pink and the sun comes up between two mountain peaks. Put the picture in your mind because a camera can't do it justice. The kitchen was well supplied but be sure to get instructions for how to turn on the stove. On the day I made breakfast I didn't want to wake the only person that could make it work so I had to cook stuff in the microwave that would have been better on the stove top. The beds are comfortable, the house warmed up nicely. The wind in Paradise Valley is always very strong so he has shored up earth around the large outdoor fire pit area to provide a wind break. I would love to stay there in the summer when its warm enough to sit outside around the fire pit. We never got to meet Abram but his parents live near by and his dad stopped by to leave propane in case we wanted to cook outside or needed anything else.
Had a great time at this quirky house. We had 10 people at the house the first week, and 8 the second week. The house was large enough to stay out of each other's way, but cozy enough to enjoy together. Everyone who came loved the house, and enjoyed the place. Any issues that came up were resolved quickly by Steve & Laura, which made our stay there delightful. Highly recommend.
Great place to stay
We had a great time at the Sun House. You can't beat the location in paradise Valley, just awesome views all around. Abram and his Dad Steve were very responsive and it was great to meet Steve in person, super nice guy. House is huge and has a lot of funky character to it. Hope we can get back again some day.
Great place to stay. Loved it!
Great property and great hosts. Will certainly go back for a longer stay. Great location and very private.
What a glorious week we spent over the 4th of July, 2017, to celebrate my husband's retirement with our two daughters and two grandsons at the artistic, comfortable, well-appointed Sun House! The bedroom arrangements were perfect to provide privacy for all of us while allowing plenty of gathering space for visits with extended family. Location was so convenient to Yellowstone NP yet kept us completely away from any traffic congestion. We also had easy access to hiking outside the park and good choices for restaurants. We appreciated all the amenities Sun House offered including the water cooler, especially during those high 80/90 degree days. Trips to the park afforded us with memory-making views of a mama black bear with 2 cubs, grizzly bear, coyote, great herds of bison, elk and pronghorns. WOW! The Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman and Chico Hot Springs were hits, too. Our boys have claimed Montana for their own and declared we are coming next year for two weeks. Thanks, Abram, for your information, recommendations and hospitality!
Yelowstone Park is the main Tourist Destination, with wonderful Wildlife Tours, and great Fishing Adventures on Yellowstone Lake. But, World-Famous Fly Fishing and Leisure and Whitewater River rafting on the Yellowtone River is not to be missed! There is also the wonderful Chico Hot Springs and Spa only minutes away, with horseback riding, and both casual and fine dining. Livingston is well known for its art, hometown welcome, and the annual 4th of July Parade, Rodeo, and full Fireworks Show ~ the best in the West! There is also great Hunting in the Fall, and awesome Skiing in the winter. We are centrally located near all of it ... Yellowstone Country at it's best, with all the conveniences of home!
