About Terry Towles or Leslie McClaugherty

This is the second home we have owned in Maggie Valley. We built this house ourselves as our home away from home in Florida. After retirement we moved to Maggie for the relaxed, peaceful environment but knowing fully there were still plenty of things to do here. I hope you enjoy your stay and much as we have enjoyed living here.

Why Terry Towles or Leslie McClaugherty chose Maggie Valley

We wanted a place that was easy to get to with lots of room for the grandchildren to run around and lots of things for them to do.

What makes this house unique

Lots of parking, spacious rooms, large yard, fabulous mountain views from the wraparound deck and easy access to town.

Nice but dated. Pictures make house look a lot newer & nicer. Pleased overall & would stay again.

The owners were great to work with! It was like staying at "Grandma's house". We didn't need anything fancy, but don't want others to be misled. It was a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Our boys loved having their own room w/ bunks. We enjoyed the firepit. The house is close to the ski resort & a great price. We definitely hope to come back.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

We had an executive retreat and spent 2 days skiing. The home has a great location and is well suited for families and small groups. We saw lots of wildlife including turkeys and deer. I would certainly pick this home for future visits.

Amazing view and comfortable house.

  • 4 of 5

Amazing view, house was clean and comfortable, you'll see deer, elks and other animals crossing montains. House needs upgrade on furniture. The bump beds must go. Any move my kid made during sleep would make such a horrible noise that wake me up. I couldn't sleep my first night. We didn't use that bed anymore, matress on the floor was much better. It's a safe issue cause it sounds and shake like it's gonna brake.

Family Thanksgiving

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent 3 days at this lovely property. The house was accomodating to my 92 yr old Mother as well as our 2 yr old Grandaughter. The other 2 children who were 6 and 9 loved the kids room downstairs and all of them played on the porches and in the yard. The mountain views are beautiful and the house is conveniently located to town . I would definetly rent this house again.
