The Desert Getaway is a peaceful retreat in the heart of Tucson. The property includes a one-bedroom, one-bath house and a one-bedroom, one-bath casita that share a private, walled back yard. This listing is best suited for couples or small groups and can accommodate up to 4-5 guests. In the front house and casita, there is no door between the bedroom and the living room. (If guests are sleeping in both areas, be aware of the lack of privacy.)

The house and casita are crafted in the classic desert style and boast a lovely queen-size bed in the bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living room. The house has a full kitchen, and the casita has a small kitchenette.

Additional amenities include air conditioning and heating, high-speed wireless internet (100mbps download), a wireless-capable flat-screen TV (stream with your Netflix account), a coffee maker, a microwave, and a gas BBQ.

The space is well-equipped. Upon your arrival, you will find coffee, basic cooking supplies, seasonings, soap, dishes, pots and pans, towels, a hair dryer, and an iron. We have tried to think of everything, but if you find you are missing something, please ask, and we will do our best to provide it!

The property is a surprising oasis right in the middle of Tucson. It`s located in the Hendrick Acres neighborhood, a convenient midtown area that is close to everything -- just off the Mountain Avenue bike path, 2 miles north of the University of Arizona, and 3.5 miles northeast of downtown Tucson.

We are within 2 miles of great restaurants, bars, grocery stores, cinemas, shopping, and parks. You will love the serenity, the classic charm, and the convenience.

During your stay, you will access the home through a private gated entrance in the courtyard. A covered carport is available to protect your vehicle from the Tucson sun.

House`s kitchen: Refrigerator, sink with garbage disposal, oven with stovetop, kitchen table, and chairs

Casita`s kitchen: Refrigerator, air-fryer convection oven, induction stovetop, microwave, and sink

Living room: Full-size pullout sofa

Bedroom: Queen bed with plenty of closet space

Bathrooms: Shower with tub, sink, and vanity (Please be aware that our hot water heater is fairly small and only lasts for about 10 minutes at a time.)

Patio: Covered parking, BBQ grill, fire pit, laundry (backyard amenities shared with guests in the back unit)

PETS: This is a pet-friendly home, and guests are welcome to bring their furry friends! There is a limit of two pets, and the associated fees are $58 for one pet and $90 for two pets. (Fees are charged per stay, not per night. For two pets, $58 is included in the initial reservation payment, and an additional fee request is sent after booking.) We ask that pets not be allowed on the furniture and that guests pick up and discard any droppings.

PACKAGES & MAIL: If you need to receive packages or mail during your stay, please DO NOT plan to have anything delivered to the property. Instead, please plan to have packages or mail delivered to an Amazon locker, FedEx location, etc.
