Fantastic Stay Near Asheville

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Asheville. Only a few miles from downtown but you feel like you are secluded in the mountains. The unit itself is astounding. Clean, stocked and lots of small attention to details make this a wonderful stay. Will definitely return!

The property is stunning, carefully thought out, and well-appointed. The views through the glass walls in the daylight through sunset are beautiful and add an element of magic. As the sun sets, the interior glass walls transform to a mirror effect, reflecting the design of the cabin and the cute outfits you brought on vacation. There are gracious touches everywhere- snacks, drinks, bar ware, books, games, toiletries, and I was SO excited to find the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer!! The GPS had a touch of trouble once on the gravel road nearing the cabin where the road forks. My GPS wasn’t clear on which way to go, but thankfully, there was a sign house numbers and arrows pointing us the right way, so watch for that. They mention that the driveway was steep, and they were not lying. Haha! My Subaru Outback had no trouble with it, but my racing heart did. They provide a gravel area right at the base of the driveway for this reason. It’s a very short distance from the cabin, and while steep, not challenging. If you’re able to walk up stairs without difficulty, you should be fine walking up the short stretch of the driveway. We watched the sunset in the hot tub, and I took SO MANY photos inside and out. This will be a trip I will treasure forever, and this cabin was a great part of that.

We are NC residents and outdoor enthusiasts. We love hiking, backcountry backpacking "leave no trace" camping, snow boarding/skiing. We enjoy live music, all genres from classical to blues, cooking/entertaining, travel, volunteering in the community and most of all spending time with friends and family. Austin is in the IT field and a builder. Claire is the founder of The Asheville Co., an e-boutique that features Asheville inspired apparel, home and gift, and children's collections. Claire is a native to Asheville and is happy to call this city home. We were married here in Asheville at the Basilica of St. Lawrence and enjoyed hosting guests at the Biltmore Estate and the Grove Park Inn (formerly the County Club of Asheville). We encourage you to visit all these places while in town if you have time as they are local highlights. We encourage you to reach out with any questions, planning needs.
