Old World Grace and Modern Convenience
Your breath will catch as you enter. This gorgeous space feels like you’ve stepped into the pages of a design magazine. With exceptional attention to detail, the beautiful restoration blends old world grace and modern convenience. The original heart pine floors gleam, the modern kitchen and bathrooms glow, and the 12-foot ceilings frame it all. To create this perfect blend of old Savannah charm and a modern designer's touch, all of the furnishings and art were sourced locally and thoughtfully in Savannah.
In the foyer is a roll-top desk where you can check email. The gracious and welcoming living room boasts a 12-foot ceiling and an antique Italian chandelier. Every corner of this room is a feast for the eyes. There is a comfortable sofa and chairs, reading lamps, and a 50-inch high definition TV. The living room flows easily into the huge eat-in kitchen with a round farm table at its center. It is a perfect place to gather with friends and family to cook a great meal. We supply coffee (Free Trade Organic), teas, spices and oils to save you time and money.
The library, with its cozy day bed, is tucked off the kitchen and is a great place to slip away to curl up with a book or take a nap. Here you will find another desk as well as our lending library. The laundry room features a full-sized washer and dryer and an iron and board.
The sleeping quarters are down the hallway from the main living area. Each bedroom has its own full bath directly across the hall from it. One bedroom has a comfortable king bed, nightstands, large dresser and a wardrobe. The second has a comfortable queen bed, nightstands, a dresser, and a small wardrobe. Both bathrooms are gorgeously tiled and filled with an assortment of personal care products including a hair dryer. One bath has a full-sized shower and the second has an original cast iron tub and shower. Quality bed linens and towels are provided, along with soaps, shampoo and conditioner. You'll also find a white-noise sound machine in each bedroom. The just-installed heating and cooling system will keep you comfortable no matter what the weather brings.
Reach your private deck through the back of the suite. With a table for six and direct access to the incredible courtyard, this is a perfect place to dine al fresco, enjoy your morning coffee, or sip sweet tea or wine in the afternoon. If you're feeling social, simply step off your deck into the lush tropical oasis that is the shared courtyard.
For your entertainment, enjoy WIFI, cable TV with 70 channels, as well as an Amazon Fire TV Stick featuring Netflix and Amazon Video. For music, you can choose Pandora on the Amazon Fire TV Stick or the Amazon Echo for effortless music streaming. Simply say "Echo, play jazz" (or your favorite selection) and the music will play.
We use Seventh Generation cleaning products and choose fragrance-free whenever possible. 0.5% of the purchase price of the personal care and cleaning products is donated to the Savannah Children's Theatre through smile.amazon.com.
Two Outdoor Living Rooms
Gather with friends on the graceful front porch under the glow of the gas lanterns. Each walk-up porch offers seating for six and recessed lighting adds to a warm glow to the gas lamps.
Delight in the rear courtyard, our crown jewel. This tropical oasis is ideal for morning coffee, afternoon cocktails, dining al fresco, and enjoying the warm Savannah nights in a gently-lit dream garden.
The fenced and secure courtyard is shared by all of the guests of The Suites at Forsyth* and was designed to be experienced both communally and privately. The center is a large patio where you can gather with family, friends and meet other guests. If you desire a private experience, then slip into one of the four sheltered spaces that nestle at the periphery of the courtyard. These four ‘rooms’ are tucked into the foliage; each with vintage outdoor chairs and tables. The lovely lighting, lush landscaping, and splashing water from the fountain will make the courtyard your favorite place in Savannah--your ‘outdoor living room’.
All of historic Savannah is literally at your doorstep. Park your car in its private lot and explore the tree-lined streets and gardens of this gorgeous city. Within a few blocks you will find a major grocery store along with restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and more.
Make the most of being so close to Forsyth Park. Shop for veggies each Saturday morning at the Farmer’s Market and also enjoy one or more of the annual events: staging area for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Picnic in the Park, Shalom Y’all Jewish Food Festival, Children’s Book Festival, Greening of the Fountain, Sidewalk Arts Festival, Doggie Carnival, Savannah Jazz Festival, Buddy Walk, Mattress Dash, Savannah Pride Festival and Earth Day as well as the many running events: Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon, Heart of Savannah 5K, Savannah Mile, the Color Run, Publix Savannah Women’s Half and 5K and the Race for Preservation.
*The Suites at Forsyth consist of six private residences within two historic, attached homes. We’re confident you’ll fall in love with our 1870's townhouses just like we did! We are two sets of friends who fulfilled a long-held desire to renovate a beautiful structure in one of Savannah's historic districts. The year-long restoration was completed in November 2016.

Awesome property and location
Perfect spot for 5 girlfriends to visit Savannah. We loved being close to Forsyth Park. Very convenient. Everything you needed was provided. Would highly recommend.
Very nice & well equipped
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very nice & well equipped with nice touches for the traveler. Location was great ...near Forsyth Park and near the stop for Hop On Hop off Trolley, which is great way to get around town! Definitely recommend it!
Beautiful Apartment Great Location
The garden suite at Forsyth park was absolutely wonderful. From the interior design to the perfect location that was in walking distance to all of the great places to see in downtown Savannah, it was nothing short of amazing. On the nights we did not feel like walking, using a Pedicab was a great decision! If you are looking for a place to stay, this is definitely the one!
Perfect in every way!
This was the perfect place for our girlfriend reunion visit to Savannah. Super location, walk to everything. Everything in the apartment was just as pictured. And we loved the Google Echo. Played whatever music we wanted instantly. We enjoyed our late afternoon wine & cheese in the lovely courtyard. Highly recommend the Garden Suite!
I give this property 5 stars. We have rented several vacation properties and this was one of the best. I have high expectations regarding cleanliness, this unit was spotless. It was very well appointed. We only prepared our breakfasts in the suite, but the kitchen had everything you would need to prepare a full meal. The back courtyard was nice to sit in as was the front veranda. We felt totally safe and enjoyed our morning walks in Forsyth Park. Janet gave excellent instructions for parking and entering the unit. When I had a question after checking in I had an immediate response to my query. I would recommend this property without hesitation.
A true gem
We've stayed at many vacation rentals before, and nothing compares to how well-appointed this unit was. Incredibly spacious, full kitchen, comfortable bed and living room couch. The attention to detail is second to none - there was actually a kettle available (which many rentals do not have) and night lights in the bathrooms and hallways. Groceries are a 5 minute walk away and be sure to check out Betty Bombers for delicious hamburgers and Sandfly BBQ for the best hickory-smoked chicken ever (all within walking distance). We would definitely stay here again.
Savannah, GA is beautiful, historic and artistic. Founded in 1733, Savannah was the new world's first planned community. Wander through twenty-two squares landscaped in azaleas and live oaks dripping in Spanish moss. Every major event in US history touched the city. Visit a Revolutionary War Battlefield and the house Gen. Sherman occupied during the Civil War. Used as the location of many major motion pictures (Forrest Gump, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Something to Talk About, etc.), it is now the location of the Savannah Film Festival every fall. And in the spring is the Savannah Music Festival. Fifteen miles from the Atlantic Ocean at Tybee Island, GA, and two and a half hours from Charleston, SC, Savannah is perfectly located to enjoy all manner of recreation. Savannah is a perfect vacation spot for every interest in your family. Other Activities: History, ghost, & movie tours
