Overview

About the property

Family - Completely Furnished - Mountain Views - (Sleeps 5-6)

From our family to yours,....... Our chalet has everything you need to feel at home! The master bedroom has a queen size bed, with all linens, a TV and large closet. Iron and ironing board is included. The bath has a large shower, sink, cupboard, and toilet. A hairdryer is provided. The kitchen is very well equipped, with stove, full size refrigerator and pantry. The kitchen has a coffee pot, large size griddle, waffle maker, and blender. Stocked with pots and pans, dishes, silverware, and linens. Living area has the most comfortable, 'stretch out' sectional of brown leather. The 55' TV sits on a stand with a fireplace for those cold winter evenings. There is a DVD player and a personal video library you may use. The dining area is in the new addition. Wonderfully light and bright area to play cards or board games. Love my coffee and newspaper in this room. The loft has 2 full beds and 2 single beds with a TV. The loft is only 4 1/2 tall so it is great for children, and adults can use it for sleeping area.

Our favorite place to hang out in summertime is on the deck. We have a grill and patio furniture. We sit out there and eat and read. Enjoy the unobstructed views, and the open space where no one lives behind our chalet..... there is just a grassy area with a river running through the resort.

Entryway is a 'mudroom' area with coat rack and baskets for scarves and gloves. A bench to sit on to put on and take off your boots.

About Jeannine

Melanie, John and Tiffanie (sisters, one with a husband) purchased this property together for their families. We rent it out when family isn't using it. One sister lives in California and one lives in Texas and with other family members owning property up here, it was the perfect spot to vacation summer and winter.

Jeannine purchased this chalet in 2005

Why Jeannine chose Northwest

The mountain views sold us on this property. The fact that it is all common ground between our property and the Blue River (where we fish) helped make this our dream property. We like having privacy and unobstructed views!! We wanted a property where you could park your car right at your 'home'.

What makes this chalet unique

The amenities of the resort we had visited many times prior to purchasing were a big drawing factor. Very few properties have indoor pools and hot tubs. We have a workout room, game room, FREE wifi, children's playground, volleyball and tennis courts. Also, families that have reunions love to book chalets here, because there is a pavillion they can reserve. All groups love this place to hold large gatherings. People have their own space in individual chalets, yet the party isn't far away!!!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We first need to apologize to the guest for incurring these inconveniences, that are unacceptable. It is so disappointing to hear that we contracted to have bedroom cable fixed, by contractor who broke it, January 2nd and was promised it would be done! And toilet should have been fixed by TR maintenance when the work order was put in over a week prior to your arrival.

We always provide our phone numbers to get a hold of us if anything is not up to standards we want our family and guests to enjoy. Maybe guests didn't want to be bothered with workmen around, so didn't call..... so we thank you for the heads up now! Appreciate your taking time making these issues known to us. As far as the wi fi is concerned, the HOA (owners) are doubly concerned about that.....we put in a complaint and hope it will be improved.

Notes:
We are so close to the parking area where you pick up the free shuttle to get to the ski lift. The Colorado Trail is across the road from our property, great trails for hiking. Golf course is 1 mile. In the winter time the golf course is groomed for use as one of the cross country ski areas Breckenridge offers. We are 3 miles from the 'tube' park, 5 miles from the ice skating rink, and 6 miles from Frisco Marina where you can rent boats. On Peak 8 in the summer time is an Alpine slide and play area. The lifts run to take bikes to the top for a trail ride down. The Summit Stage is at the corner of Revette Drive and Hwy 9..... a 5 minute walk - free shuttle service. We are located with easy access to 4 ski resorts, fine dining, excellent shopping, and snow mobile and bike rentals. Bike trails abound from next to our resort to take you on a beautiful scenic ride in either direction. We recommend Pioneer Sports or Christy Sports in Frisco for rentals.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four had a great stay at this property. Was great for a small family, and met all of our needs. The only suggestion I would have is to provide guests with more kitchen cleaning items. Because there is no dishwasher, it was a little challenging to keep up with dishes and the only cleaning brush included was old. We purchased one at the store, but was a little inconvenient. Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Summit county for a ski vacation!

Again, thanks for staying. Would welcome you back.

Great for us!

  • 4 of 5

The house was perfect. We had plenty of room and were very close to Frisco and Breck. Even Keystone is just around the corner. We wanted to use the fire put but it was under 4 feet of snow. So we can't really complain about that.. thanks.

Nice base just outside Breckinridge

  • 4 of 5

Nice Chalet , clean with all amenities. Floor plan set up well for winter/ summer sports. Small kitchen and bathroom. Very nice back deck. Loft ideal for kids or group. Great views.

Only negative was backing up to busy road. Noisey outside but not inside.

Home away from home

What a wonderful cabin. My absolute favorite thing about cabin five is the views. The stream right out back and the mountainous terrain will allow your soul to relax. The new renovation is absolutely wonderful and much more spacious.

We loved our stay!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience at our "chalet"! The location was great - exactly halfway between Breck and Frisco. The facility was as clean as could be and we couldn't have been more comfortable! Jeanine was also great; very helpful and easy to work with. We hope to make it back sometime in the future.

Come for the summer and you are liable to stay for the winter............. we did!! You can not find a better place to vacation, summer or winter. The climate is absolutely so fantastic in the summer and a dry climate makes enjoying winter sports easy! You name the activity and Summit County provides it!! We have taken great pleasure to insure that your stay is a memorable one, and that the chalet meets all your needs. We have set it up for our family to enjoy and hope you find it warm, inviting, friendly, and comfortable. ENJOY!

Our chalet is located in a friendly gated resort with great amenities. The chalet is perfect for families and couples.

Summertime provides lots of activities! The Colorado Trail is across the road, you can hike to the Continental Divide! Across the hwy is a bike trail that is second to none, takes you up to Vail Pass or into Breck for lunch. The marina serves Lake Dillon, just rent a boat and spend a lazy day on the water and enjoy the magnificent scenery or go fishing. Horseback riding is a favorite on the mountain trails. Don't miss out on Peak 8 fun activities, a zipline, alpine coaster, rock climbing wall, and lots of bike trails. (take your bike up on the gondola) Swimming, tennis, golf, jeeping, 4 wheeling, ...... explore explore explore! BBQ challenges are a fun part of Summit's summer fare. Craft and art shows and farmers' markets are not to be missed. Did I mention best river rafting in the west!

Winter time gives you the opportunity to ski or snowboard at 3 world class resorts close by. The Rockies offer some of the best winter sports conditions in North America. Any day you could be skiing or boarding with Olympic hopefuls or medal winners. Snow mobiling on the the mountain trails, or just tubing down the hills at the adventure center are great activities on a sun filled day where the snow just glistens. Ice skating, indoor and outdoor is a great family outing. Right out in back of the chalet is a common area, a winter playground in winter... build snowmen, or play with sleds on the piles of snow.

Come back from your day's activities and enjoy the heated indoor pool and hot tubs!

Check out the Adventure Park between Frisco and Breckenridge, (we are located so perfectly to get to this park) for first time skiers. Reservations ahead are a must.
