Welcome to Mountain Ridge Retreat, a cozy and secluded log cabin nestled on Cherry Log Mountain. Perfectly situated between Blue Ridge (under 5 miles) and Ellijay (under 12 miles), this charming sanctuary is designed specifically for couples (and one beloved pooch) seeking a quiet, peaceful escape to recharge and unplug.

🔥📚🎶Cozy Indoor Living: Curl up by the real wood-burning fireplace, spin vintage vinyl on the record player, play board games, or stream your favorite shows on Roku Smart TVs in the living area and bedroom.

👩‍🍳☕️Fully Equipped Kitchen: Complete with cookware, dishware, a Keurig (K-cups provided), and a Mr. Coffee drip maker with filters.

Outdoor Spaces: Enjoy the gated deck (perfect for keeping your dog secure) equipped with a new Weber grill.

Fresh Water Hot Tub Promise
Your safety and comfort are our top priorities. We drain, clean, sanitize, and refill the hot tub with fresh water between every single stay.

Note: Because fresh mountain water takes time to heat, early arrivals may find the tub still warming upon check-in; it will reach full temperature later that evening or by the next morning.

1 Dog Allowed ($50 pet fee required).

Important: Vrbo does not automatically collect pet fees, so please inform us upon booking so we can add it manually. Undeclared pets will incur an additional cleaning fee.

Location & Mountain Essentials
Explore nearby hiking trails, waterfalls, local wineries, boutique shopping, and top dining—or simply relax and stay in.

Mountain Access: Located off a peaceful, well-maintained one-lane gravel road. Please drive slowly. An AWD or 4WD vehicle is highly recommended during winter weather. If at all possible, arriving during daylight hours at least the first day, is optimal.

Authentic Mountain Living: High winds or storms can occasionally cause brief power or internet flickers. We monitor outages closely and keep guests updated!

Guest Safety: An exterior security camera monitors the driveway area only. There are no interior cameras, and no cameras view private areas like the hot tub or deck.

The cabin was absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway! Rebecca was communicative before, during, and after the trip. She had great activity and restaurant recommendations as well! It was immaculately clean and the deck area/hot tub area was the cherry on top! Worth every penny! I cant wait to plan another trip there!

Wonderful authentic log cabin convenient to the town of Blue Ridge yet very private. Seamless check-in with video directions provided by the owner. The cabin was cooled to 70 degree temperature upon entering. Even the deck hot tub water was heated to near soaking temperature upon check-in. The kitchen was well stocked with staples like coffee, cooking oil, and spices not typically found in short-term rentals. The loft bedroom mattress was very comfortable and the bedroom itself was a welcome respite after an active day. The overall experience certainly exceeded our expectations.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - the cabin was very cozy and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the mountains. We loved that it was truly dog-friendly, allowing our pup to enjoy time outside on the deck, with a dog bed and treats provided. Rebecca was very attentive, checking in on us throughout to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall it was a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend trip together to start the new year!

Quaint Cabin...Ideal for a Romantic Weekend Getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at this nice, quaint cabin! The location was perfect...just minutes from downtown Blue Ridge, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. The host was very accommodating and communicated clearly and promptly throughout our visit. It was the ideal spot for a romantic weekend getaway. Highly recommend!

This is a fantastic cabin for a couple, especially if you bring your dog! Everything was perfect and Rebecca is the sweetest host. Every detail was well thought out and so appreciated. Rebecca stayed in touch with us before the trip and during our stay to be sure our vacation was memorable. The bed was comfy and the kitchen well stocked. The hot tub was nice. Highly recommend this cabin!

The cabin was very nice and it was well stocked. There were a lot of nice personal touches, it felt like home. After a day of hiking, it was nice to come back and get into the hot tub for a soak. The owner Rebecca was always available for anything that we might need. We saw lots of deer around the cabin. It’s perfect for a couple and we had our labrador retriever. We would love to go back sometime.

Beautiful Destination

Beautiful location with a lovely view. The property was so warm and cozy. Made even the rainy day in a good day. The kitchen was handy since we cooked most of our days we were there. Rebecca is a wonderful host and checked in whenever possible and answered any questions we had. The Hot Tub and view was my favorite part!

Fabulous vacation!

We had the best time at Rebecca’s cabin! It was squeaky clean, the bed was very comfortable and the sheets were high quality. We absolutely loved the fireplace and hot tub. Kitchen was well stocked. We hiked to three waterfalls and loved exploring the area. Cool downtown area with shops and restaurants. Cherry log mountain felt very safe and the whole area was well kept. We will definitely return in the fall for the foliage!

Beautiful views

We enjoyed the cabin so much !! The views are amazing . The deer make their rounds every afternoon . Everything you need is right there in the cabin . Rebecca checked on us several times to make sure everything was ok . She’s a great host . Already booked another trip and I just got home today .

Absolutely loved our stay at Rebecca’s cabin. Great access to both Ellijay and Blue Ridge. So perfect for a couple’s getaway. She’s thought of everything! From the ambient lighting on the porch, to the pup snacks, to the batteries for the remote, and everything in between. We’ve stayed in many VRBO’s and you can definitely see the difference here. From the Levelor blinds to the soft blankets, to the extra ply toilet tissue (cheap toilet paper is one of my pet peeves) top notch! The cabin itself is adorable and rustic yet has all of the conveniences you’d ever need. The communication and advice on nearby activities was excellent from booking to checking out. We will definitely be back!

Excellent location just outside Blue Ridge. Lovely, cozy cabin with relaxing hot tub and spacious deck. The enclosed deck was perfect for sitting outside with our pup. They made sure to include everything we might need from coffee makers to walking sticks for hikes. Would definitely stay here again!

We are from the Atlanta area and always loved coming up to the mountains in the fall to enjoy the foliage, the pumpkin patch and the incredible fried pies at Burt’s Pumpkin Patch & Mercier Farms.
When we got the opportunity to get this adorable log cabin, we were excited to turn it into a special place to go to be one with nature go hiking and enjoy all the fall activities year-round.
Blue Ridge and Ellijay have so much to offer including so many great shops and restaurants and attractions. It’s a great place to get away from the city and relax.
We are so excited to share it with you.

We were so excited to find the Cherry Log Neighborhood. It’s a great spot off the beaten path, yet close to many fun things to see and do. Our place is up on the mountain, drivable but a 4WD or AWD is helpful.
Our cabin is roughly 5 miles to the beautiful town of Blue Ridge, where you will find great restaurants, shops, wineries, hiking, waterfalls.
Checkout the Blue Ridge Mountain Railroad, the Swan Theatre, and Mercier Orchards as some must sees.
There is a spot to access the Benton Mackaye trail in our neighborhood, as well as some great hiking throughout Cherry Log Mountain.

It’s a charming log cabin with a beautiful view that you can enjoy while soaking in the luxurious hot tub, running year around.
Inside, there is a fully stocked kitchen, a wood-burning fireplace, enjoy the Roku tv's to stream your favorite shows.
And we added a record player with some vintage vinyl to take you back. Or relax and unplug with a good book or enjoy some board games or cards.
Our new deck is a private sanctuary for you and your pooch to enjoy. We just added a Weber propane gas grill to cook outside immersed in the scenic views, a patio set w/umbrella is a perfect spot to enjoy supper under the stars. Your dog is safe on the enclosed deck where they will bask in the sunlight look out at the natural setting (that's what my dog does).
