Our family, including our 3-year-old granddaughter, came to Ann Arbor for a football weekend. The house was great! It was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The kitchen and bathrooms have been recently updated. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!

Looking for apartments for our daughter to live in this next year.

Overall the property was very nice. Anemies were listed correctly online and the neighborhood was very quiet. We would definitely try to stay here again.

It's a beautiful, spacious, well-equipped house in a pleasant, quiet neighborhood. When the air conditioning wasn't working, the owner or property manager got someone out right away to fix it. Nice backyard and patio. Convenient for shops we needed. Good place for a family and for dogs.

Nice quiet cul-de-sac in a great location

Brought my adult children to attend a family event. Enough space for everyone to be together and to be able to find a quiet space to sit alone. In a part of town where basic are close at hand and most other things are a within 30 minutes main U of M campus and EMU.

Pluses: The neighborhood and property were really nice; plenty of room for 4 adults with 2.5 bathrooms. Easy access to everywhere we needed to go. Prior to our weekend stay, I had to send driver's license verification, and I had multiple communications with the host. We arrived @ 4:00pm for our easy check-in.Minuses: Upon arriving, as we were unloading our food, the large refrigerator/freezer was warm. I contacted the host and VRBO to see how to handle this. We were told to find another location and evacuate immediately to get a full refund. We were there for a memorial service, brought perishable food for the banquet, needed to pick up our adult child from the airport, and meet with other family members. We did NOT have time to do this and had not been notified there was a problem prior to our arrival. The host did supply a small dorm refrigerator that was supposed to be adequate. It was not, took up space around the kitchen table making the step-down into a family room dangerous. In addition, there was a nice deck with patio chairs, but no cushions for us to sit outside and enjoy the yard. We requested compensation for all these inconveniences upon arriving home. Two weeks later we received a small refund, inadequate for the inconvenience and spoiled food that had to be thrown out. Also, this is a rental agency that lists through VRBO. So, while we communicated with the host prior to our arrival, we dealt with the rental property for our issue.

We understand how disruptive this was, especially given the purpose of your trip and the perishable food you brought with you. We also apologize that the temporary refrigerator solution was not sufficient and that the outdoor seating was missing cushions. I will say that when we drove up the grass was not cut. There were cobwebs in the corner of the door which you could tell had been there for some time. There was a stale stuffy smell to the house as if it had not been opened up for awhile or had any air circulating throughout for quite some time. The biggest inconvenience was when we discovered that the refrigerator did not work. I immediately reached out to the owner and let them know it was not working and was told to unplug it and then plug it back which did not work- was told to check the circuit breaker which also could not have been the issue because power was getting to it, it was just not cooling. After that I did not hear anything back from the owner until the following day telling us to use a mini fridge they had that they were advising guests to use which was no where near what we needed in order to store the food we would have to cook our meals - so we ended up having to spend money on takeout and eating out which was not in our plans or budget. The refrigerator was never fixed the whole time we were there - a super inconvenience and it really messed up our stay - back yard was not kept and there was hair in the bathtubs in the bathrooms again not sure when someone had been here last but I feel if anyone had been here recently they would have known the refrigerator was not cooling and could have corrected it before our stay. Unfortunately we will not book again

A solid "4.5" overall, if only that were an option

Our experience was soooo close to a "5". Overall, the house was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities we could ask for, plus more!1. The kitchen is appropriately stocked with dishes, flatware, cookware and appliances. Tea and coffee were available.2. Every toilet has an add-on bidet attachment!3. The smart TV has ROKU and the reclining sofa in the family room is very comfortable.4. Garage parking!5. Located on a cul-de-sac. The neighborhood is quiet and there are sidewalks.As much as I would like to give this VRBO a "5", my reasons for the "4" Overall rating are:1. We were initially given the wrong entry code and no instruction about how to operate the door keypad. We only got immediate access because the cleaning crew was there finishing up.2. The garage opener remote battery was dead. (we replaced it and now it works fine)3. Snow/ice was not removed from the front walkway.4. Check-out instructions were unclear.Thankfully, I believe my concerns are all either already addressed or might not detract from a future renter's experience.One other note, we were only 2 people, so we had plenty of room. Seating and some dishware might be at a bit of a shortage if the house was at its maximum capacity of 7.

The listing states that it sleeps up to 9. But, there were 4 rooms with a queen, 2 fulls and 1 twin for beds. We did find another bed in the basement but it was not made, had no sheets, etc. There were also mouse droppings and a nasty mouse trap down there and was not clean. The listing states there is a kitchen and a kitchenette. No kitchenette AND the refrigerator/freezer was not working. There was also a frig/freezer in the garage but it was full of black mold. We told the host of the issue with the refrigerator as soon as we checked in and did not hear back for hours. Then, we were given the runaround being told to unplug it, flip the circuit breaker, etc even though we kept stating that the panel lit up so had power - it just wasn’t cooling. We also found that the water line had been cut behind the frig and there was a stock pot to catch water drips. We stayed for 8 nights. Nothing was fixed/done while we were there. Also, the thermostat was set to 25 degrees Celsius which is 77 degrees Fahrenheit. We kept lowering it as it was VERY warm upstairs in the bedrooms but it kept going back to the 25 degrees Celsius. We were there for a conference and rented a VRBO to be able to prepare our own food without eating out but couldn’t due to no refrigeration. We did find a small dorm sized frig but it didn’t hold much and NO freezer. Also, limited toilet paper, no paper towels, kitchen towels etc and told we had to provide. Not a good experience!!
