About Owner/Property Manager
I am an American truly in love with this city. I take attention to details and will ensure that your stay in the flat will be an unforgettable experience!
Owner/Property Manager purchased this Apartment in 2005
Why Owner/Property Manager chose Chaillot
I chose this property for it's unparalleled location (proximity to the the Champs Elysees and Avenue Montaigne) and its warm, Parisian feel, and 'homey' aspect, you feel more like in a house than in an apartment...!
What makes this Apartment unique
Enjoy the best of both worlds, the fashionable 8ème, and the 'charming' 7ème just across the bridge! Excellent location from which to set off to see the sights.
Warm Welcome, Fragile Decorations
This was a lovely apartment that worked well for our 3-generation family. The reception we received from Dorsaff was extremely warm and welcoming - the best ever. There was bread, milk and butter in the refrigerator for us. The kitchen was well appointed and well stocked. The apartment was lovely and so close to the Eiffel Tower and other attractions. You had to walk a little bit to a market, but it was worth it. The metro and bus were 1/4 mile away at Alma Marceau - very convenient. There are also restaurants there.
There were, however, a few things you should know. The 3 bedrooms are downstairs, with the living quarters and kitchen upstairs. There is a tiny, extremely narrow, spiral staircase connecting the 2. I wasn't comfortable on those steps, so slept on the day bed in the living room. I did, however, need to navigate the steps in order to reach the shower room. There is one toilet upstairs and a shower room and separate toilet downstairs. There is also a tub and sink off of the master bedroom.
The house is full of really lovely art work - so lovely that it makes you nervous that something could easily be broken. I'm not sure why someone would keep such fragile items in a rental. It was beautiful, though. As my son said - I could never live here, but it certainly gives you a true Parisian feel (at least the way we imagine Paris to have been in the early 20th century).
All in all, it was a lovely week in a lovely home.
We had a fantastic time in Paris staying here. Beautifully decorated. Looks just like the pictures. Spacious property, three bedrooms and two baths. Master has sinks and tub and hall bath has sinks and shower. The commode is separate. One on the first and second floors. Can look out of the balcony and see the Seine. Short walk to the Eiffel Tower. Our first and last night we sat along the Seine and watched the lights twinkle on the Tower. Also, had a fantastic meal at Antoine, a Michelin chef experience, located in the same building right around the corner. The hosts were very accommodating, always answering questions promptly and allowing us to arrive early. We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!
Live like a Parisian, best location in Paris!
This place was wonderful! It is actually prettier in person than in the photos. The location can't be beat, a short walk from the Eiffel Tower, George V Hotel, Champs Elysees, and steps from the Seine River. The wifi in the house is great. Julie was wonderful to work with and made arrival and departure easy. The beds were comfortable and there are plenty of towels. We are a family of five and we had more room than we needed! Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook at home, and restaurants are within a block. I will book it again on our next trip!
Fantastic 2 weeks with our adult kids pretending we live in Paris!
Our 2 adult children (and partners) joined us for most of the 2 weeks we spent in Paris. The apartment worked out perfectly. Location was great--on one end of the short street was the Seine and on the other the famous President Wilson street market, two days a week, with gorgeous fresh produce, seafood, cheeses and meats. We walked almost everywhere, but getting a cab or the metro on Place de l'Alma was easy too.
The apartment was surprisingly spacious--over 2 floors. The master suite was very lovely and quiet--we slept well. The other 2 bedrooms had a nice view of the Seine down the street. The kitchen was very well-equipped, and we ate in a couple of times. Great expresso maker to go with our fresh croissants! We all usually gathered in the front living room, with plenty of places to sit, morning sun and good internet connection!
Julia, the manager, was always reliable and met us when we arrived. We had few questions while there, but she responded quickly. The housekeeper was always available when needed. We felt totally safe and relaxed in the apartment and neighborhood.
What a great way to enjoy some family time, and yet allow everyone to take off and do their own thing when they wanted. We loved every minute "living" in Paris!
We loved it!
The apartment was wonderful. We enjoyed the space and comfort of the rooms. The location near the Seine was superb!
We will recommend it to friends and come again.
Lovely spacious apartment
This apartment is on a quiet little street near the Seine across from the Eiffel Tower. It has all the comforts and amenities one could want. It is close to the metro and some fun cafes overlooking the Eiffel Tower. It provides a good home base but you will have to taxi, bus or metro to most sights in the city as its a bit far from the Marais, the Louvre and St. Germain, Monmartre, etc However, you will feel safe and secure in this location and building.
