The apartment is lovely and well located. It is a little difficult to find, luckily our driver and the gentlemen at the restaurant were very helpful. The apartment is on the 3rd floor, no elevator, so be prepared. It’s a busy area, so a little noisy, but we enjoyed the vibrancy!

The apartment was fine overall and in a very busy location, but that also means it’s close to everything, which is convenient. The beds are very comfortable, but the sheets don’t actually fit the mattresses and there were no mattress covers, which was disappointing. The internet password didn’t work at first and it took a while to get a useful answer from the owner. There are a few maintenance issues worth mentioning: the shower has problems with the molding, and there are large, unfinished holes in the wall around the air conditioning installation that haven’t been closed off yet. One important thing to note is that the unit is a two-story walk-up, which could be a challenge if you have luggage.

This apartment was perfect for our stay in Istanbul. It’s right in the heart of Sultanahmet, and there are probably 2 dozen restaurants and shops in a five minute walk. The Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are about ten minutes away, and there is a tram stop just on the other side of the square. The apartment itself was clean with comfortable beds and pillows. There was laundry soap available, and the Emrullah helped me troubleshoot the washing machine when I could t get it to work. He also came over at 11pm when the boiler malfunctioned and we had no hot water.
