What a fun place to stay! I did manage to get in a little game time…..we were in the area to meet our friends that have a nearby campground so we were pretty busy and didn’t get to enjoy the games as much as we would’ve liked!
This spot is so cool! Loved playing the nostalgic games. Very easy to communicate with as well! They definitely care about their space and their guests. I do have to put this disclaimer out there for future guests - the tap water has a really strong rotten egg smell. So if you’re sensitive to smells this might not be the spot for you. That is the ONLY detractor.
This was a wonderful retreat & a really special, fun place! The host was friendly & easily accessible & made us feel at-home. They welcomed us & made it easy to relax, & they gave us privacy & made our stay easy! The house was very thoughtful & fun in decor and amenities, it was very clean, & it had everything we needed! The homemade muffins were so delicious! The beds, chairs, & couch were comfy; there was a shoe rack by the door; the kitchen & bathrooms were well-stocked, & there was even a handy pair of scissors interior kitchen cabinet - thank you! There was an awesome gamer recliner couch with light-up cup holders & a cabinet with cool, colorful lights, too! There were instructions for the various game systems & so many games (very well-organized, as well)! The big Donkey Kong arcade game was wonderful, & my husband was in heaven! My daughter really enjoyed learning about & playing some of the games that her daddy grew up with, too! It was a really nice time as a family! The location was both quiet & convenient. We really enjoyed the Circle Restaurant (Huge pancakes!!!), & we appreciated the close proximity to Dollar General, Lake Milton/Craig Beach, antique stores, & so many main roads! They had an awesome swing in the front yard that we really enjoyed, as well! Just a wonderful place & wonderful hosts! Thank you for the awesome experience! We hope we can come back again soon! :)
The host was so kind and available to help whenever we needed anything. And the coffee isn’t just your typical store bought brand. It was from a local roaster and was so delicious! It was nice having two full bathrooms to accommodate all of us too. And of course, the game selection was huge. I could’ve stayed all week and still not gotten through everything. Can’t say enough positive things about this place.
I was in the area for a tournament at nearby Mount Union, and needed a place to stay for the night. This place caught my eye with its unique concept. And I'm so glad I decided to book it. The BnB is VERY clean, and lots of amenities - water, local coffee, etc. But that's not really what you're reading this review for - so let me tell you about the GAMES. The sheer number of consoles and games for each will truly blow your mind. Atari, Classic and Super NES, 3 gameboys, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, N64, GameCube, Playstation, PS2, XBox, XBox 360, Wii U, Switch 1 and 2, PS5, XBox X. I probably missed one! Not only do they have the crazy amount of consoles, the attention to detail is off the charts. Period-specific decor down to even the televisions (ah, the hum of a SONY tube TV when it turns on)! Full disclosure, I received some very bad news concerning a close friend before arriving at the unit. I spent most of the day feeling lost and rudderless. But when I entered the "Throwback Room" I was transported to some of the best days with my friend - playing PlayStation to the wee hours of the morning, not worried about college classes the next day. So that's exactly what I did during my stay. This place was the therapy I didn't know I needed when I booked it. Not sure if I'll ever be back in the area, but would 100% stay here again if I am. Thank you to the hosts for creating this vision and sharing it with others.
Took the youth group boys for a night out at the Gamer BnB. We had a blast! The video game console and game selection is phenomenal and the place is so inviting and comfortable. We all said that we wish that we had booked tonight, which we will definitely be doing in the future!
Our family absolutely LOVED our stay. Very nice and so cool and unique. Perfect for boys who love video games and reminiscing. Katie and her family thought of absolutely everything and it’s nicer / more spacious than we thought. Our boys asked to come back before we even left.
This property is so unique and original. The old school video gaming systems brought back so many childhood memories. I wish I could have stayed longer to play all of them. Whoever reads reviews to determine whether to stay at a place, I definitely recommend Gammer BnB you will not be disappointed. The photos of the place will peak your interest but does not do it justice. I’m telling you just book it. You’ll have a blast. I’ll definitely stay here again but for longer next time. Katie and Sam are the best!!!!!
Blast to the PAST! What a very cool and unique lodging experience. Every gaming system you could imagine is here going all the way back to the Atari and the original Nintendo. Watching my 2 boys "struggle" with the old tech was amusing but they had an absolute blast experiencing all the systems from the past decades and the different themed rooms. My youngest loved Duck Hunt and Space Invaders. The systems are all wonderfully preserved and the operation instructions to every system are very clear. Combined with a nearby Lake where they could fish and they were in heaven. A Queen Bed, Bunk Beds and a very cool Reclining couch are your sleep options. full Kitchen and 2 full Baths. the well water is its only mark against, its quite pungent if you aren't used to it. We had a wonderful stay and was the highlight of our trip to Canton. My boys can't wait to come back next year, Well done
Absolutely amazing property, with some real nostalgic vibes. From Mario, to call of duty, the property has some fantastic games and systems. Very nice touch from the owner leaving us some homemade muffins and coffee. We would definitely come back in the future.
