Situated on a quiet dirt road close to Vermont's Upper Valley attractions, this rural retreat is truly a unique oasis offering the perfect balance of seclusion and convenience with over 52 acres of privately owned land and trails to explore. (Currently, this property offers over 2 miles of hiking trails with plans to expand in the coming year.)
More than a standard rental property, this pristine, well-appointed, newly renovated Owner's Vacation Home maintains an air of rustic charm with exposed wood beams and hardwood floors while offering refreshing, modern renovations throughout the home. Additional updates include new systems and a backup generator. In addition to open-concept entertainment areas, the first floor of the home features a queen bedroom downstairs and ensuite bath with glass standing shower. Upstairs, you'll find additional sleeping quarters that include one king room, one queen room, and one room with two twin beds. Additionally, the second floor has an open home office plus an additional bathroom with double-sinks, and standing glass shower.
The thoughtfully-appointed kitchen has a modern, chef-style setup complemented by new stainless appliances including a farmhouse sink and dishwasher. Enjoy your meals at the eat-in kitchen island or in the adjacent dining area offering picturesque views of the backyard, gazebo, and pond. Outdoors, embrace the serenity of an expansive rolling yard surrounded by 52 wooded acres, a beautiful 2-acre wildlife pond, and a cozy fire pit near the gazebo for evening relaxation. Private trails are open for year-round hiking / trail-running and winter cross country skiing / snow-shoeing. (Please note: some snow shoes are available on site for use. No snowmobiles or other motorized vehicles are permitted on the trails.) Additionally, garage parking for two cars and a private home gym is available for use.
Located just minutes from I-89, I-91, Dartmouth College, and Dartmouth Hitchcock Memorial Medical Center, and less than 20 minutes from Hanover or Woodstock, this stunning location offers something for everyone. From outdoor and wildlife enthusiasts to those seeking a peaceful getaway, local shopping / dining, or a base for nearby skiing at Killington, Pico, Sunapee, or Saskadena Six –– everyone is sure to be happy!
4WD/traction may be required in winter.
Firewood for the fire pit is not provided, but can be purchased locally.
There is a laundromat just 10 minutes away, Squechee Clean Laundromat. The home does not currently offer laundry facilities.
