Okay stay but some issues...

Our stay was pleasant overall. There were some issues that got resolved, however the customer service was lacking. The pros: the property is extremely safe, well maintained & the scenery is beautiful with tropical flowers & trees. We looked forward to the long walks to Jolly Beach & Ffryes Beach (we are avid hikers & enjoy the exercise). There is a smaller less 'kept' beach behind the villa as well. We loved waking up to the view of the harbor on the balcony every morning watching the sunrise! The air-conditioning worked great. The kitchen is the perfect size, complete with modern appliances & every kitchen tool to cook a proper meal. The washer & dryer in the storage room worked great. Cons: On our arrival our greeter advised us that the TV in the living room & 1 bedroom were out (the repair tech was there working). Only 1 of 3 TVs worked. The first night we spent hours trying to connect to WIFI as the host told us it was working. There was no hot water the first night. It got resolved the next day but the greeter told us we were not using the faucet correctly after she tinkered with the controls in storage room. How hard is it to move shower knobs from left to right & see if it lands on hot/cold water? I had a 38+ min phone call (using my own intl data) with the owner and rep from internet provider. I was asked to check the router for issues & ensure the WIFI code was correct. The owner eventually told me to just use the $10/day intl data plan from my service provider, which I was already doing but had already exhausted for the day & my internet speed was extremely slow as a result. We chose the villa based on ability to use WIFI. It was a major deciding factor. We didn’t have WIFI for 3.5 days, incurred unexpected fees from service providers & missed important deadlines. Other cons were the uncomfortable mattresses in the 2nd bedroom, furnishings were VERY cheap & delicate. The unit could use some repairs to cracks in walls/ceiling. We were unable to use bikes as the host didn't have the codes for the locks. We weren’t shown amenities unless we asked: gym, pool, tennis courts, etc. We weren’t shown how to use the water machine where we could have just purchased water bottles at the store to use. For the price, we could have stayed at a hotel & had less issues. Things happen, but it was the lack of professionalism that caused the experience to sour. Things were eventually worked out, the greeter & owner kept us updated regarding the issues.

Insulting! Two brand new updated Samsung TV sets were brought in day of arrival one was a 65 inch and the other was a 43 inch I could not help the delivery schedule both Tvs were hooked up . Who would not be happy with this . Next the entire Island 🏝 has internet issues and I have INet which is the top provider on the Island . Regarding hot water 💦 this was a first when the greeter had to show you how to turn the handle left and right as you even said you were accustomed to two knobs . Regarding the bikes first that I am aware . If you had contacted me I could provide the codes immediately .Regarding the furniture I beg your pardon this was personally shipped in from the states and your the first guest to ever criticize the quality and comfort of anything . As to the water machine due to covid we were not allowed to supply any type of water or foods . Read the local covid guidelines. This is a covid certified unit and just to make a statement the Health Dept would not have passed this unit otherwise . To end this after your first eve on the Island and the complaints I got from not only the greeter but the taxi driver I did contact Air B and B numerous times to inform them you were argumentative and very cheap having the greeter drive you to the taxi stand with your luggage to avoid paying an extra few dollars to a taxi driver. Incredible- The photos don't do the property justice

Cheryl was responsive, engaged, proactive, and intuitive. We traveled to Antigua from the States during the pandemic, which was a gamble. The world was beginning to reopen when we booked the trip 3 months before our departure and we took a leap of faith that things would be steady. From new requirements for villa owners, to new testing requirements to enter the country and exit the country, Cheryl and Claudeth were incredible partners. We had everything we needed to enter the Antigua and return home under new restrictions- it was seamless because of these ladies. Highlights: The internet was super Fast and stable, AC was cold, the bikes and other amenities were well taken care of (they even had flipper and other pool supplies in perfect working order), the kitchen was well appointed, the house was well decorated and comfortable, and the villa was ultra clean. The location was superb with a grocer right before the villa entrance. We were steps away from the ocean with clear water and white sands (it literally took about 5 mins to walk to the ocean entrance on the back of the Villa grounds). There are restaurants, beauty shops, golf cart rentals, a pool and more within walking distance and there was ample opportunity for community building, as the villa community is vast! We rarely had Qs about our stay, as things were perfectly arranged, but if/when we did, Cheryl was ON it. Cons: no cons!! The weather, the people, everything was incredible. You will ENJOY this property.

Awesome Retirement Gift

The villa is very well decorated and everything we needed and more. Cheryl was excellent to respond to all our questions and she has often checked to ensure that we needed anything. Claudeth, the housekeeper was great! When we had problems, she came very quickly. Thank you to Cheryl and Claudeth for the wonderful month of vacation that we had.

Paradise Found

Claudette was wonderful, she checked in often and did everything she could to make our stay pleasant. Cheryl was very responsive to our booking and answered questions about our stay promptly. The property was well cared for and bikes, and beach chairs were in great condition. It was great to have a washer and dryer on site. Overall it was a lovely experience.

Clean and chic

We have been coming to Jolly Harbor for 5 years. This was by far the nicest villa we have ever stayed. Cheryl is terrific to work with and very anxious to please. The villa has everything you need and then some. (Even a cooler for the beach!) claudeth, the greeter and housekeeper is the sweetest person ever! She and her husband immediately came over when we were having difficulty with the grill. This was 8:00 pm! She answered our questions and calls patiently and immediately. The villa is spotless and chicly decorated. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks Cheryl and Claudeth!

Enjoyed Antigua!!!

We had a wonderful experience. We shared what time our flight was arriving and Claudette met us at the main entrance area to take us to the villa. Claudette took us through the villa and explained where & how everything worked. She made sure we were connected to Wifi & had her contact number. The villa was modernized & nicely decorated. I loved the villa and would select it to stay again as well as recommend it to others to stay. We wanted or needed for nothing. All we had to do was enjoy our 10 days of vacation and we did!!! We will be back.

2 THUMBS UP FOR VILLA DIONISI

We stayed for 1 week at Cheryl's Villa at Jolly Harbour for my wife's 40th. Our expectations were exceeded. The location is top notch and views are as advertised. 5 minute walk to the quiet North Beach for full sunset views. Jolly South Beach w/beach bars Castaways and Sandra's for extensive menu and drinks. There you can pretty much rent anything water sport. This beach was about 10 minute golf cart ride = easy peasy. Epicure grocery store about 7 minute golf cart ride and they have everything. Bring your own grocery bags or purchase theirs. Jolly Harbor has about 1/2 dozen restaurants, couple excursion kiosks, taxi stand, a few shops. pharmacy, grocery. It's a great place for a first trip to Antigua and about 25 minutes from Airport. Cheryl was extremely communicative when needed as was the housekeeper. The Villa is well appointed and spacious. Appliances all work well and the propane grill was great. Beds pretty comfortable. AC worked well when needed. Laundry in Villa was a plus. Her Villa is freshly updated and it shows. Make sure to sign up for a Circumference excursion on either the Excellence (more a booze cruise and cool tour of island w/lunch and snorkel stop) or Extreme which is much smaller boat, more personal, more stops, better snorkel and still get tour of island. In summary we would def stay here again and find the price extremely reasonable for what is offered and the location. Thanks Cheryl!

Absolutely beautiful villa.

What more can we say? Very well appointed, modern and some nice surprises. Electrical was compatible with US/Canada outlets, water filter was safe for our kids and overall a wonderful experience. Bikes came in very handy. Would certainly book again.
