I came there with a group of my lady friends and really enjoyed all of the things the host put around the house to make it special. There were Cake Balls in the fridge and fresh flowers as well as chocolates on our pillows. We really enjoyed the convenience of this property to everything we wanted to do in the Strand area.

Our stay was kind of a last minute decision and we were amazed how perfect this property was. We loved the mural and the greenery wall. They were the perfect spots for photo ops! The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the white noise machines and black out drapes that helped us sleep well in the comfy beds. We will return!

I had a fantastic stay! This host has thought of everything. As soon as I stepped in the door there was a guide book with everything to do in Galveston. Then on the pillows they left chocolates just like a fine hotel. We forgot beach towels for the hot tub and then discovered they have beach towels at the property for guest use. We loved the location, so close to the Strand that we could walk there. We also loved being able to walk to the beach for sunrise. We wish we could have stayed longer and we will definitely be back.

We stayed one night at White Magnolia Galveston. It was an easy check in and the home was ready for our stay when we arrived. The house was very clean and the owner was attentive to details such as leaving towels on every bed for us to use. There was even a welcome sign in the kitchen personally welcoming us. I am a coffee drinker so was pleased to see my options from individual coffee to brewing a pot for my family. Even though our stay was one night, there were plenty of options to keep us entertained. From the mini piano where we had a karaoke session, to board games, and even a hot tub in the garage. The owner provided detailed instructions on how to use the hot tub (which we would have used if our stay was longer). The home was in the perfect location. We were able to walk to a restaurant for dinner in the historic Strand district. We did not incur any issues during our stay, but the host was easily accessible incase there were or if we had any questions. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Wish it was longer!

Allie was an amazing host! White magnolia is a beautiful home in a great location! The host provided so many special and personal touches, and her baked goodies were delicious!! Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. If we find ourselves back in Galveston, we will definitely stay there again!

Property was nice

Beautiful home. We loved the kitchen. Plenty of towels. Beds were a little uncomfortable. Cookies and coffee were amazing. One full bathroom for 7 people was a bit much for our crew. Ants were noted on counter tops and in the living room along my sister's bags when we woke up. As for the owner. Communication was open and quick to respond even if some of the those responses were "off" Like her saying check out time was 1000 so that she could get in and clean before her 2 pm appt, and that she was the only one cleaning. It made me feel rushed to check out, when the listing states that check out is at 1100Also, having to sign a rental agreement before you are able to open the contract and actually read it was a bit different. Otherwise, beautiful property, more for nostalgia than functionality

We enjoyed hosting this group and are quite baffled by this review! We are thrilled that they thought the home was beautiful, loved our fully stocked kitchen and the host responsiveness. Ants are not the norm as we have a full same day cleaning before each stay so we do regret that was her experience. I checked and we did have a family with little kids the night before so it could be possible that crumbs attracted ants and lingered even after a clean. There had been a power outage and storm the day before as well and ants pop up more when there are storms. We will do an exterior ant treatment. We are sorry that there was a challenge with the check out process. When this guest booked the check out time was set to 11am. Then the check out time switched to 10am for reservations going forward, but we honored the stay terms and the guest was able to stay till 11am. This was our mistake and we enacted more help for us to get the clean done with the shorter window of time before the next same day guests. Obviously we are new so this review is disappointing. The guest never reached out to let us know of problems and we asked. Please search for White Magnolia Galveston on other platforms and you will see all 5 star (A) or 10 (booking). We strive to make every stay memorable and unique as you can see what our social media.
