Mark's Retreat - Spacious Mountain Lodge w/ Hot Tub

Experience home away from home at Mark's Retreat. Featuring four bedrooms and three bathrooms, this ranch-style lodge home is perfectly suited for 11 guests. The kitchen features spacious vaulted ceilings, ample dining space, a large flat screen TV, direct access to the back yard or wrap-around deck, and a beautiful gas fireplace to create a cozy ambiance during any time of day. Opening up to the living room with beautiful wood & glass doors, you'll find plenty of comfortable seating and room to watch the 40" flat screen mounted above the stone, gas fireplace. Situated directly adjacent to the living room are two charming bedrooms featuring queen beds, attached via a "jack and jill" bathroom with doors opening to the living room and both bedrooms. As you continue down the hallway with its contemporary recessed lighting and new laminate wood flooring, you will find the master suite featuring a king bed and two windows to let morning or afternoon sun stream into the room. Relax in your down time with the flat screen wall mounted TV, and have easy access to an attached bathroom. Last but not least is a fourth bedroom featuring a bunk bed, and beautiful wood armoire with TV. Awaiting you outside is a beautiful wrap-around deck, with natural rock accents built in and plenty of seating space for everyone to relax. Set against the back drop of a cozy back yard, beautifully landscaped with open rock firepit, is an enclosed porch attached to the deck that features plenty of seating and a gas fireplace to keep everyone warm on a cool night. This property is dog friendly.* Additional flat fee will be charged per pet, if necessary, after receiving your signed Rental Agreement. The property has a fenced front yard perfect for your four-legged friends, or younger members of your group who may want to explore but need a safe space to do so. There were some positives with this property and our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the linens clean. There was ample space for our group, including parking for three large vehicles. Management was very responsive, which unfortunately, was necessary due to the many issues we encountered over our 3 night stay...the drain in one of the bathtubs was very backed up, rising to mid-calf when the first person showered. The vents above both bathtubs and in the kitchen were filthy; layers of dirt were embedded in the vents. The TVs in the kitchen and living room did not work, nor did the fireplace. Management sent maintenance and housekeeping over promptly; maintenance did a great job, housekeeping...meh, not so much. She showed up with a container of sanitizing wipes and thought that would be sufficient after stepping in the bathtub in her bare feet to clean the vents. In all fairness, at our request, the management company refunded the cleaning fee. We would not return to this property.

Great space for family to spread out, both inside and outside. The adults and kids enjoyed the hot tub and it was nice to be in a separate space. The three bathrooms were a plus for sure, as well as the laundry room. Everyone enjoyed the fireplace, but a couple of extra rocking chairs would be great.

We had a lovely time at Mark’s Retreat. Love the location and there was room for everyone. Making s’mores at the fire pit was definitely a highlight. This was our second time staying here and we would stay here again.

Everything was outlined properly and checkout was very easy. There was enough room for everyone and the fenced in yard was perfect! The internet goes out if too many people are on it, but that’s expected in a remote location so it wasn’t a big deal. Would stay here again!

Family trip

The location was great - quiet. The hot tub was a hit with the youngsters. The only negative aspects were lack of a dishwasher, which we compensated by using paper plates, and the indoor table did not accommodate as many people as the house holds. A fenced in backyard was great!

Great getaway

We had a very nice time at this cabin. It was spacious, well kept, and private. The only downfall is that the property next door was an eyesore. I'm surprised that the township hasn't done something about that.

Great home and location

The check in and check out process was very easy and thorough. The home is about 6-7 miles from downtown Ohiopyle. Beautiful home. Was well maintained and was extremely clean when we arrived. Plenty of room to spread out, tvs everywhere, and a great outside space with a covered deck with hot tub, open deck area with picnic table and table and chairs. Fire pit and charcoal grill. Really a great place to stay. Would highly recommend.

Nice home. Had a great stay.

This was a great house. My only complaint is no screen on the fireplace which was too tempting for my 2 year old granddaughter. Had to move the love seat in front of it. Mouse poop in the kitchen.

Super home in a great location - Highly recommend

My wife, I, and several friends rented the property for a 3 night stay. The property was clean, in good condition, and was very spacious. TVs in every room, about 5 miles from downtow Ohiopyle, and a great outdoor space. The rooms are all very large. There is a covered deck with hot tub and chairs to sit and relax if it rains, a large table on the uncovered deck, and a fire pit. Everyone in our group was very pleased with the hime and would rent this property for another stay. Highly enjoyed the home and our stay.

Strong recommend! Before our visit, communication was clear- check in details, amenities, what we should bring. Check out list provided as well. Everything was as advertised. Home was very clean, warm, spacious and comfortable; great location, quiet but near restaurants and sites. Lots of dishes, towels, linens; plenty of hot water; hot tub clean and at temperature. Easy to find, well marked. Beautiful area. No cell coverage in home (ended at main road) but Wi-Fi good. All details spot on and we would stay here again without question.

Our visit was a short one to attend a holiday family get together but we would definitely go back for a longer visit. There is so much to do in the area. I just wish we could have used the fireplaces but the house was plenty warm. Can’t beat the huge kitchen table for gathering family or playing games. Huge living room accommodated everyone.
