Perfect for a family reunion stay

This home provided more than enough space for us. The older ones of us were on the lower levels and we put the younger ones up in the top. Close to restaurants.

House was in a great location!! We were able to walk to restaurants, shopping, the beach and to the houses of other extended family. The apartment was perfect for my daughter who had small children with early bedtime. One suggestion…it would be nice to have TVs in bedrooms, especially since the living area is somewhat small for a large group.

We had a great stay at the house and very close to beach. Literaly 5 minutes away. The only bad thing was all the stairs that you had to go up and down. Not really good for older people.

Perfect Parents Anniversary

I'd like to thank Tybee Island Vacation Rentals for providing the perfect place for our parent's 55th anniversary.The house had plenty of space with a separate apartment on the ground floor so they didn't have to climb the stairs. We were a block and a half from the ocean and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great place, great location.

Only bad thing i will say is this house gets very hot with the temp on 70 and also the beds are not comfy at all. Everything else is wonderful. House is very big and will sleep everyone. We had a group of 14 and everyone had a bed. This house is in great proximity to everything on the island and just walking distance from restaurants and bars! short walk to the beach also.

Amazing location close to everything you need

Massive house, easily slept our 12 guys, almost with everyone in the own beds. Great location within a 2 minute walk to the main strip of Tybee (bars, food, shops) and a 5 minute walk to the beach. Only complaint was the cleanliness of kitchen area / dishes. Given the steep cleaning fee on the property, I did not expect to have to hand wash almost every dish / cup we used before use due to grime / residue. We washed and put away what we used after night 1, but purchased plastic cups / plates for the rest of the stay. Other than this, I couldn’t think of a better spot!

Poor quality

The whole house had little to no water pressure in every single shower in the house. The bedrooms were extremely hot. The upstairs tv that my grandson was sleeping in the tv did not work the whole trip. We were told the first day they would come back and fix it but never did. No potholders, no can opener. The floors were black my grandkids feet were filthy the first day we got there once they took their shoes off. Will never rent this house again. We paid a lot of money to have all these issues.

Tybee stay at Lovell

we really loved the convenience of the property to the little downtown area of Tybee Island. it was very close to the shops, beach and surrounding 'safe' neighborhood; really nice for walking/running/biking. the house was certainly spacious enough for our group. every couple had their own room and only two couples had to share a bathroom. the house itself is dated along with flooring, bedding, kitchen supplies (you definitely should consider taking a few good pots and pans with you) and furniture. the exterior and interior steps are very steep and not conducive to elderly guests. (there IS a separate ground level apartment) we did have a great time, though. our entire party spent one afternoon at the day spa just a few blocks away (salt cave and more!). additionally, we were just a short, very scenic drive away from Savannah. we went there several times for good food, site seeing and a haunted tour. Overall, we would definitely recommend this stay!

Good experience, but could be a better

House was spacious and roomy. Plenty of amenities. However, the floors all need a thorough cleaning, including carpet on stairs. The ceiling fans on the porch can’t go above ‘low’ setting as they want to rattle out of their supports. In Georgia in June, thats a problem. Also, saw some other areas that could be cleaned and painted. Love the proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants, but that comes with a trade-off. Directly across the street is the back of a convenience store and pizza restaurant. Lots of noise with the dumpster usage and food/drink delivery in early hours of day. Overall, happy with the experience and already booked it for next year but felt like there is some room for improvement.

Family time overcame the desperate need for home maintenance

This place was probably great in its beginning, but it has been sadly neglected. The carpet in the living area needs a good cleaning or needs to be thrown away. The carpet going to the 4th floor needs to be replaced. The stair handrails are nasty. The baseboards and wall corners need to be painted. This house has been neglected. On the porch, there is a cabinet that is rusted and needs to be tossed. The screened are was nice, but the area needs to be cleaned. There is a coffee table out there that needs to be thrown away or refinished. The entire porch area needs to be cleaned. We have stayed in VRBO's several times, but we have never been in one that needed someone to love it and take care of it more than this one. On the bright side, our family rolled with the neglect and we had a good time. The place was clean, just run down. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils.

The house was great except maintenance was needed. Bathroom door stuck, ceiling fan didn’t work, kitchen faucet came back on by itself. Very small refrigerator for house that slept that many people and not enough seating so everyone could enjoy dinner together.

The location was good. Close to the beach and nearby shops. House appliances are old. Vacuum is old, the hairdryer wasn't properly cleaned. TVs are extremely small for a big house,not enough chairs on balconies,the house wasn't properly mopped. Some of the outlets were not working in bedrooms. Couldn't charge our phones. The shower were not great either. Even when no one was using a toilet nor turning on faucets, the volume coming out or shower heads were terrible. Need a lot of upgrades.

Perfect for large group!

This rental is perfect for a larger group, plenty of space for everyone! The location of the home is walking distance to all of the local hot spots. We certainly enjoyed not having to drive anywhere. Tybee Vacation rentals did an outstanding job helping with any questions/concerns.

Great group house!

Great house for a large group in an awesome location! So close to everything and a short walk to the beach. The management team was very responsive and helpful. Only odd thing about the house is the higher than normal number of outlets. Some don’t work, so double check that your phone is charging before you go to sleep at night. Overall, not a problem because there are plenty of other outlets to choose from. :)
