Wonderful Beach House

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this beautiful home. It is very clean, nicely furnished and very well stocked with all you need for your stay. We especially enjoyed the kayaks, sunfish and paddle board. The deck overlooking the water was a favorite place to gather and enjoy the beautiful view of the river. Thank you to the Christoffersons for sharing their home and giving my family such a wonderful week of memories!

Wonderful place and views with a first floor master and a second master upstairs

We planned a family vacation that included our 2 adult children and 90+ y.o. mother. It was great for her with a large bedroom and bathroom right on the first floor. Updated bathrooms, a great deck overlooking the water, and lots of space for the family to spread out. Each bedroom had lots of storage space and even hangers (you wouldn't believe how many places haven't had enough). Two little things - the coffeemaker is a Keurig. We brought coffee and ended up going to Target to get a machine that could use it. And bring your own video source with an HDMI port for the flat screen TV. Otherwise, the choices are a little slim.

Perfect for CGA grad week!

This house was everything we needed and more. The pictures don't show it all--how amazing the space is on the first floor. How large & versatile the kitchen/dining area is for hosting a party with trays of food. There is plenty of space to set up a buffet using the two side buffets. And we had no idea that the additional seating area with a table/couch was on the 2nd floor so plenty of space to spread out. The 3 bathrooms are an added plus which many homes don't have. The view is spectacular. We didn't have a chance to use the boats or beach because we were too busy with other events but I imagine that it must be so convenient to launch from your backyard. All in all it was perfect for our May week!

Nirvana in Niantic

The location is ideal for anything from a peaceful retreat to a fun filled active vacation. The home is comfortable and well appointed. The 4 bedrooms are a good size. The one bedroom downstairs is perfect for someone with mobility issues and the bathroom is set up to accommodate as well. All the bedrooms have a view of the water. The primary bedroom upstairs is gorgeous! The kitchen is a good size and all the appliances are in excellent condition. The common area is wall to wall windows which gives a 180 view of the river. We enjoyed the fire pit and kayaking and the canoe- that was a real bonus!All the lfe preservers are also supplied And working with Terry and Ken was very easy. They are super responsive and very thoughtful. They even had a bottle of Prosecco and flowers waiting for us. I highly recommend a stay in this beautiful home. I really didn’t want to leave.

Niantic River

This home is in the perfect spot right on the Niantic River. We spent hours sitting on the beautiful deck enjoying the view. I had my 91 year old father and my 2 year old grandson with us, and house was wonderful for the whole family.

Family get together

This was a great property for us, our children, and grandchildren. The waterfront had us in or on the water most of the time. The Grandkids were thrilled with kayaking and the SUP that the owner had available. The nearby playground and disk golf were also a big hit. Sitting on the deck was great for watching the river activity.

Beautiful Niantic House on the Water

My family and I made wonderful memories at Terry’s house. The home is immaculate, decor beautiful, kitchen well-stocked, and beds are very comfortable. We were there during a heat wave and the central air conditioning was very appreciated, especially for my older parents. The house is situated right on the picturesque Niantic river and we enjoyed watching the sailboats glide by. We spent almost all our time using the kayaks, paddle boards, or swimming off the beach. We enjoyed meeting kind neighbors during our walks and ventures to the area beach and tennis court. Niantic has a cute “Main Street” where we had lots of great meals, ice cream, and trips to the Children’s museum. Terry was a wonderful communicator and quickly answered all questions. We fell in love with her home and Niantic!

The River View

My husband and I rented this property with another couple. We had a wonderful and relaxing week. The deck was our favorite spot with its beautiful view of the Niantic river. The kitchen had stainless steel appliances, nice dishes and glassware. We ate in most of the time and found all the necessary items for cooking (mostly new). The beds were very comfortable and with three bathrooms, there was no wait for the shower. Everything was available for outdoor fun: single and tandem kayaks, life vests, water shoes, bikes and tennis rackets There is a nearby tennis court. We had use of the most pleasant and quiet little beach which is part of this community 's association. Overall, the house is spacious, very clean, charming( lovely gardens) and has a lot to offer. We highly tevcomend it!

Beautiful house, great location

Beautiful house with a private yard and beach with a gorgeous view. Close to downtown which has plenty to see and do. We lost power twice because of storms so a generator would've been nice but it wasn't too big of a deal. Overall we had a wonderful time.

perfect family vacation

The house was perfect for the 10 of us and the 5 year old grand daughter was surprised to find toys there. We enjoyed kyacking and had a tournament on the baci court. Enjoyed the books that were there and of course the beach. Everything we needed was there. A terrific vacation and hope to return next year.

Summer 2020

This was our 2nd stay at the house. It is a perfect place for a week by the water. We are outside from morning til sunset every day. There is plenty of sun and shade. The kayaks and paddle board and canoe are so great to have available. We used them every day. It was a great time again.

A Beautiful House on the Water

Pictures and descriptions on the site are accurate -- if anything, the house is more spacious and elegant in person. We spent many happy hours with the canoe and kayak (provided) on the Niantic River and then sitting on the porch gazing at it. Never even turned on the TV. Lots to do in the area, including lovely Niantic Village, but you need to bring golf balls if you want to try the pitch and putt. Everything in the house works fine, and owner is quick to respond to emails. In short, it was a great getaway week for all of us.

Loved home on the water .

Home was as beautiful as represented. Easy access to the lovely town of Niantic. Kitchen was well-equipped. Terry the home owner responded very quickly to a question we had. We highly recommend this home for a Wonderful vacation

2019 Family Reunion

This was our second year staying at this home and it was just as nice as the first time. The house is clean, looks exactly as the photos depict. We had both of our children, their spouses and our grandchild stay and there was plenty of room. The neighborhood is fantastic and we spent quite a bit of time walking back and forth to the playground. We would highly recommend this house if you want to be right on the water to enjoy all there is to do.

Great Family Vacation

This was a fabulous property in a wonderful location. We had six adults and two infants. The house was big, very clean, and had everything we needed for the week. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking meals, the appliances worked well, the washer and dryer came in handy, and there were bedrooms that had tons of room for the babies setups for sleeping. We enjoyed the deck (the view is fantastic, especially for the sunrises), the gas grill was clean and worked well, the fire pit provided our smores, and the kayaks, canoe, and paddle board provided lots of entertainment. The neighborhood is quiet and has tennis courts, basketball, volleyball/badminton, bocce court, 6 hole pitch and putt, a playground, and a beach area... all within a short walking distance. Just down the road there is a nature preserve with hiking trails which were fun. Going into town, there are shops and many dining choices. There is also a boardwalk for walking along the waterfront, as well as a public beach in front of the boardwalk. Down at the inlet, they have places to fish and a launch area for kayaks if you would want to put in down there. One thing in particular that our group enjoyed was the Book Barn. They had several buildings with themes for books, but also some animals to pet, and various play areas for the kids. Overall, we had a great week and we thank Terry and Ken for sharing their house with us. They were very quick to answer any questions we had. We would highly recommend this property.

Niantic vacation

The property is perfectly placed right on the Niantic river. It was wonderful to have morning coffee on the deck and watch the sun rise over the river Terry was very easy to contact and the property was immaculate and just as described. Comfortable enough for 5 adults and 3 kids. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Riverside retreat

Beautiful, spacious shore home on the Niantic River. Beautiful setting with its own private beach area. Kayaks, canoe and stand up board are all new and in great order. Home has all you would ever want. Spent nights outside at the fire pit as well as inside doing a puzzle. Very close to Niantic beaches and Main Street. Fully air-conditioned and the cutest neighborhood for kids. A+

Fabulous Experience!

This was a wonderful home, perfectly furnished, clean and beautiful. The owner even provided many supplies that normally need to be purchased (i.e. toilet paper, kleenex, soap, etc). This was truly a home away from home experience. And the river view was an amazing way to relax. We highly recommend it!
