It is a lovely cabin, well stocked, close to everything and yet secluded with a lovely view. Rental company is exceptional. Check out Fontana Dam, Deep Creek trails, Noland Creek Trails!

So cute and close to town

What a beautiful place to stay! So close to town but just far enough to feel secluded. Loved the openness and cooking dinner and then enjoying it out on the deck with the view of the mountains. Will definitely stay here again!

Great location!

Beautiful property to stay at. We enjoyed Going to “The Road to Nowhere” and Deep Creek tubing. Everything we wanted to do was within a 20 minute drive. The driveway is very steep to get up, but we adapted to it quickly. The view from the porch is spectacular.

Bear Creek Crossing

Overall this was a nice place to stay. Amenities were nice. The inside was clean and had everything needed for our stay. The outside of the property needs a little TLC and upgrades. We would stay there again if we were planning another trip to the area.

Couples Retreat Weekend

The property was great. It was a mountain oasis. We really enjoyed the area. Lots of room for six people. Bedrooms were good sizes. Very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, rental company was nice. The cabin itself had roaches, looked like the ceiling was falling in, tore up lawn furniture, pictures showed none of this.

While there is a general warning about this being a mountain home, the driveway is very steep and if I had been driving my manual transmission would have struggled with the driveway.

Overall a great stay

Initially they failed to send me the check in details, but after a quick call I got it, and we were unable to access the wifi at any point. Overall, they stay was quite peaceful and nice. It is near a fairly busy road, so it is not a perfect nature getaway. Other than that, everything was as advertised and a great time.

Weekend Getaway

Overall the property was nice. Great open space and the fireplace was a hit. Beautiful view BUT THE getting up there was a challenge. The hot tub was a bonus but probably should put up some sorta gate around the edge of the area...in the dark you could take a serious tumble down a giant hill. Showers were less than desirable; the master shower was like a shoe box and the downstairs shower head was almost not useable. Beautiful home just keep up with the maintenance.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loved the location. Tucked away but just down the street you are in town. Felt it could have been cleaner. We arrived and started checking things out and there was a roach in the kitchen. The tub in the bathroom had mold and gunk all underneath the overflow drain, the hot tub could have been cleaner. It felt like someone had dumped sand in it and I think this is the first time I have been in a hot tub that you didn’t smell any chlorine or anything.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was once beautiful, but now is in a great need of an update, showing multiple signs of wear and tear. Musky smell, some appliances outdated and ineffective, broken interior and exterior door locks, lack of hot water in bathrooms (reported during stay our stay, plumber's inspection made it worse), cobwebs in bathrooms, dirty interior doors etc. This house will provide shelter and basic needs but visitors should not expect much beyond that.

Our Family Bryson City Chose.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second time at Black Bear Crossing. My family and I come for a family reunion and it is the perfect location for us. It is minutes away from tubing and the national park. Central is located to Cherokee and other attractions. We enjoy sitting on the deck and looking at the beautiful view. This trip I had my younger ages 4-19 and they loved the home. The only problem we had that the AC in the upper level went out for a day and half and we congregated in the lower level to sleep due to how hot it was. Someone did come out and fixed it while we went out. Coming from flat land you must be able to drive up the steep driveway and make a quick turn into the drive, make sure you watch for the rocks on your right side. By the end of the second trip I learned how to back out to the road without going over the hill. It is a lovely place for families and we plan on coming again next year. And watch out for the Black Bears!

Driveway was really steep and there was not as much room for cars as I was expecting. The jacuzzi jets were not working well and the lights didn't turn on so we didn't use it. The downstairs shower had little to no water pressure. The dryer was not working properly so the clothes that were washed never got dry. The lights going outside to the firepit were very dim. There was a few dead spiders on one of the down stairs bed.
