This house suited our needs well. We were a group of 7 (3 adults and 4 kids) and accommodations were fine. Bedrooms were good sized and lots of closet space. Beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels and kitchen appliances/extras for us to use. I will say, if AC is important to you consider that there is no central air in this cabin. They have ductless AC units installed but not every bedroom has a unit. It was in the upper 80s at the beginning of our week and 2 bedrooms in particular stayed quite warm until the temperatures dropped a few days in. The king room upstairs doesn’t have its own unit and it hovered around 80° most of the time, even with the sliding patio door open, until the temperature outside dropped. There’s a bedroom downstairs, as well, that didn’t get below 75 until the temperature dropped. That said, there are several fans and it didn’t prevent us from having a good stay, but might be important information to have. Two of my kids are autistic and it’s difficult for them to sleep in environments that don’t mimic what they’re used to at home. Also, if you’re planning on using the bunkhouse, it does not have AC.
Firepit was lovely and the living room/dining area was just right for us. WiFi worked well! There’s a grill on the porch (we didn’t use) and lots of sitting space out there. The location was convenient to everywhere we wanted to be. I much prefer being close to Custer as opposed to Rapid City.
