Outdoor deck with BBQ, patio lights, and dining table that seats 12. No fire pit for 2026 due to county fire ban.

Cheryl met us at the door and gave us a tour of the house. It’s a beautiful place with lots of space. Kitchen had everything we needed. There was even home made banana bread there for us. Great location and perfect if you are riding the bike trail. Highly recommend.

We stayed in this cabin for a week in September 2026. Its a well built log cabin nicely decorated and clean. The rooms are generously sized and amply furnished. The bathrooms have been modernized. There is a nice laundry room and a private office (good place for charging things and reviewing our photos). There are 3 outdoor seating places. From the front porch there is a view of the town of Custer and the Needles formations beyond. There is some traffic noise outdoors but its quiet inside. The cabin is located close to Custer State Park and has easy access to the other towns and scenic roads in the Black Hills. Cheryl was friendly and attentive and I hated to leave at the end of the week. I very much want to stay there again.

The property and home were perfect for our family with children ages 12,9,4,3 and infant. They loved the yard and we loved the many rooms! The home had several area that we could all gather in but also had areas that one could have quiet private time. The home does not have air conditioning but even with temps in the 90’, the home was cool and comfortable in the evening.

Convenient location right on the edge of Custer. Owner met us at the door with keys; even provided some baked goods as a welcome. We were a party of 11 which included 5 children ages 5-12. Dining tables inside and on the sunny deck were long enough for seating all of us. Large yard and huge rocks for climbing provided entertainment for the kids when we weren’t out sightseeing. Highly recommend for large families.

Such a great historic home and so close to everything! The house was huge and perfect for our family vacation. We had everything we needed and the hosts met us to welcome us when we arrived.

The property was accurately described. Very clean. Hosts were very responsive. We did experience well problems (no water) but when we called them, they promptly had a service man come and install a new switch. While it was inconvenient, I understand that sometimes mechanical things break and were not due to any reasonable fault of the host. Would stay at this site again.

We had a great stay and plenty of room and beds for our party of 12! Clean and comfortable, and close to town but just far enough way from town.

This beautiful log home was immaculate, very comfortable and welcoming! Our hosts left homemade bars and bread for us! The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do in the area. The setting was quiet and serene. We would love to stay here again when in the area!

This house was ideal for our vacation to the Black Hills. We had three families on the trip and the house accommodated our needs perfectly. The house was clean, there were toys for the kids, and the kitchen was great for cooking our own meals in the evenings. We would certainly stay here again!

Wonderful Family Experience

Beautiful cabin setting close to Custer but far enough away from everything to enjoy campfires and porch swings. Our family and grandkids had a wonderful time and Cheryl and Frank were such great hosts! The banana bread was delicious

Relaxing Stay

We were in Custer for our daughter’s wedding and several family members stayed with us. Hosts were very accommodating and the banana bread and cookies were delicious! Had plenty room for everyone and it was very relaxing. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful Historic Cabin

It was a beautiful Cabin rural yet close to downtown Custer. Tea or coffee in the morning on the dexk overlooking the Bulls was an add benefit.

Family Vacay

Excellent stay and location. FYI - there is air conditioning on the main level but not upstairs bedrooms, however it does cool off at night and having the windows open really brought the temps down and it was very comfortable (in June) Host was very welcoming and friendly - would highly recommend staying here!

Great place

We had a wonderful time was probably the hottest weekend but at nights it cooled off they had little ac things that helped keep upstairs cool was very clean and owner were very nice and helpful it had lots of room for our family outside area was always wonderful for everyone they left banana bread and cookies for us had everything you needed to cook and enjoy the wonderful cabin thanks again
