Active family vacation

  • 5 of 5

I absolutely loved this place! The house has a stunning view with a lake and forest and there were plenty of activities like hiking, walking through the cute little village, or just relaxing. My kids had plenty of room to play in it and there were a lot of things to do as a family. We could pick and choose where we could sleep from all the bedrooms in all three floors and the entire atmosphere was very peaceful. I would definitely recommend it!

Beautiful Lodge and Amazing Views

  • 5 of 5

The lodge is absolutely stunning and remote. We spent a few nights out by the fire pit and looked at the stars. Great location for large groups and very accommodating. Highly recommend.

Dirty Floors, Dirty Foul Smelling Sheets, BIO-Hazard Rat-Mouse Feces On Floors, In Draws etc.

  • 1 of 5

Dirty Floors, Dirty Foul Smelling Sheets, BIO-Hazard Rat-Mouse Feces On Floors, In Draws, In Cabinets, Etc., and Scores Of Other Negatives.

5 Bedrooms NOT 6 As Listed. Owner Refuses To Admit Anything Is Wrong!

We PAID A 5 Star Price An Average Of Over $1,000.00 Per Night For: Dirty Foul Smelling Sheets, Broken Beds, Cobwebs, BIO-Hazard Rat-Mouse Feces On Floors, In Draws, Cabinets, Etc., Filthy Floors, Gross Coffee Machine, One Small OLD Dish Setup TV For The Entire 5,000 Sq. Ft. Cabin Was Horrible And Difficult at Best To Operate, DVD Player In Game Room With No HDMI Connection, Worn And Very Old Brown FAUX Leather Couches. One Worn Out Couch Has A Pull Out Queen Bed In The “Fireplace Bedroom” its Frame Is Bent And Would Only Sleep One! This Fireplace Bedroom Is NOT A Bedroom Nor Does It Really Have A Useable Queen Size Bed. The Internet Connection Was 0.1 Mbps, Yes ONLY 0.1 Mbps, What A JOKE! Internets Download Speed Too Slow To Stream And Really Of No Use, Hours Of Cleaning Sheets And Pillow Cases And Dirty Appliances. Twin Pull Out In SW Bedroom Broken And Slants A Larger Child Would Fall Off It. Nastiest Of All, 2 Of My Young Granddaughters Got To Sleep On Gross Bedding For One (1) Night! About dusk on Tuesday 12/27/2016 (our second night) there was a knock on the front door of the cabin. I answered the door and a very pleasant Lady Ms. Sally stated that she had been called by Victor and he asked her to come to the cabin regarding dirty areas. I told her we were all eating dinner and that cleaning at this point would not be possible with 18 of us eating. I did invite her in to see some of the cobwebs in the Master Bedroom on the main floor. I also showed her the very dirty (black) paper towel that my daughter had used on the floor to clean up a small amount of water on the kitchen floor. I mentioned to Ms. Sally that the hardwood floor in the living room on the main floor was as dirty as or more so than the kitchen tile floor. I asked when this place had been cleaned last, Ms. Sally advised it had been more than a month and she had told Victor previously that the cabin could NOT sit vacant for a month without being cleaned. If it did sit for a month the bedding would smell moldy. She advised that other guests had complained to her and she told Victor about dirty carpet on the basement level. He told her not to get them cleaned them. I have So much more to report no VBRO space left! I have 43 Photos, etc. 5 Star Price for a 1 Star!

Beautiful cabin with beautiful views

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin is very big with lots of room for entertaining. There were 4 families staying totaling 14 people including children. There was plenty of room for everyone to stay comfortably. We went on a hike down to the lake and it was a lot if fun. We played games and enjoyed each other's company. We would like to stay here again if we get the opportunity!

The road broke my rental car.

  • 2 of 5

Someone should have told us we needed a four wheel drive to get here. We would have rented the appropriate vehicle. The ruts on a sharp curve broke the rocker panel off the car even though we were driving very slowly. And, the bar-B-Q ran out of propane. Again, we would have brought propane if the description of the house had mentioned that we should . OH, and the owner charged us over $400 to arrive early. Beautiful place, but won't come again.
