Beautiful cabin with beautiful views

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The cabin is very big with lots of room for entertaining. There were 4 families staying totaling 14 people including children. There was plenty of room for everyone to stay comfortably. We went on a hike down to the lake and it was a lot if fun. We played games and enjoyed each other's company. We would like to stay here again if we get the opportunity!

The road broke my rental car.

  • 2 of 5

Someone should have told us we needed a four wheel drive to get here. We would have rented the appropriate vehicle. The ruts on a sharp curve broke the rocker panel off the car even though we were driving very slowly. And, the bar-B-Q ran out of propane. Again, we would have brought propane if the description of the house had mentioned that we should . OH, and the owner charged us over $400 to arrive early. Beautiful place, but won't come again.

Awesome House, Far Away, Strict Quiet Time

  • 4 of 5

This was an awesome house that can accommodate a ton of people. Everything inside is very nice, all of the games/activities are well maintained, the kitchen is awesome, the bunk room is perfect for a bunch of individuals to sleep in and the view from the back deck is absolutely amazing. Overall, this house served the purpose we needed it to serve, I would say there were two down sides to this property though: The property is about 25 minutes from anything, i.e. groceries, restaurants, entertainment, towns, etc. make sure you get everything you need before making the drive in. Secondly, there is a 9 PM "quiet time" stated in the rules for the house. The neighbors take this rule VERY seriously, any sort of music, loud talking, etc. is not tolerated after 9 PM. If you know you're part of a group that likes to be loud late at night there are probably better options.

Not professionally cleaned as advertised and Owner is unwilling to offer fair compensation!

  • 1 of 5

I spent the first 5 hours of my stay cleaning. There was hair in all the sheets, urine and feces in and on the toilets, soiled baby linens, rat droppings and dead lady bugs everywhere. Hornets in the upstairs area and scorpions on the lower level. The list could on and on! I immediately called and emailed the owner who did not respond until hrs later. Eventually after 90% of the cleaning was done. A young lady and her fiance arrived to clean. Though they were very nice they were not professional cleaners and had never been to the cabin before. They helped make the beds ( I washed all the sheets) , cleaned the bathroom mirrors ( I had already cleaned the toilets, showers and tubs) and vacuum. Everything else was cleaned by the time they arrived. The owner failed to take responsibility for the cabin not being professionally cleaned as advertised or compensate me for the hrs I spent cleaning during my family vacation. Horrible experience! But made the best of it for my 20 guests!

Owner's Response: Vee - while it is normal that sometimes lady bugs get in the house, they usually die out. however, the cabin was properly clean prior to your arrival. when my crew arrived to address your issues they found a mess you created by yourself. they felt that this was staged by you in order to claim a refund and hassle for additional stay. which you did prior and during your arrival.

Great House for a Big Family!

  • 4 of 5

My family stayed here over the Christmas holiday and had a wonderful time (albeit the weather was terrible). The view from the back porch is amazing and had the weather cooperated we could have stayed out there the entire time. The pool table and ping pong tables saw plenty of action, as did the kitchen and family room. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Victor was great and provided all the information we needed prior to our arrival. We would definately rent again!
