Suzette was a very lovely host. She was very responsive and extremely easy to work with. The cottage was clean and had everything you needed that you may have forgotten. It was also very nice that we were able to dock our rental pontoon boat on their pier. Beautiful view of the lake and a very lovely community to walk a dog. The only complaint is there was only one air conditioner for the entire cottage. All the bedrooms got very warm in the evening while the temperature is outside were very warm.

Owners are great… very good communication. We appreciated being able to have good space for boat and truck and use of the dock and electricity available for charging batteries at the dock. Kitchen was very well stocked with lots of extras. Great TV, used phone as hotspot and that worked great. Comfortable beds. Thanks for a great stay!

The size of the home was smaller and quaint, and we really liked the view from the living room. However, the cleanliness did not meet my expectations. There was animal hair on the comforters, and the patio/dock had not been swept and was a bit disheveled.After speaking with a neighbor, I learned there had been recent flooding at the home, which explained the strong, unpleasant mildew smell. Thankfully, we had cooler weather in the evenings, so we were able to open the windows, which helped but did not eliminate the problem.The host was quick to respond via text when I reached out with a couple of needs. Overall, the stay worked for us; however, we would not stay here again.

Cute river cottage

We had a great stay, spent most of our time at the Air Show in Osh Kosh but slept at the cabin. Beds were comfortable and it had everything we needed. Thank you!

Very nice property. Very clean and comfortable. Has fullsize refrigerator that works well. Working washer and drier. Has appliances, utensils, plates cups etc. Has a vacuum and broom etc for cleaning up after ourselves. I would stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay in the edge of the Wolf River in Fremont. Our host was very responsive to messages. We arrived and I hadn’t received detailed check in directions so I called her. She immediately picked up the phone and gave me the code to the lock box which contained the key.

I received a message the afternoon before, that the pontoon we rented from them, was not working right. We were there for a wedding and we were going to have a boat day with the wedding guests as part of the festivities. Thankfully, we were able to secure another pontoon boat, but it cost us almost double. When we arrived the first thing we noticed was the musty smell, it was very strong. It got even worse when we turned on the air conditioner. As far as having 3 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms have doors and the 3rd does not. It’s right off the living room and has a large open doorway. It has 2 twin beds and a small table between the beds. It has no closet and zero privacy. The place appeared clean on the surface, but it was not good. Our bedspread had red stains in 2 spots that looked like blood. The stove and spoon holder was dirty. The garage can was disgustingly dirty. The microwave was dirty and when I moved the toaster it had crumbs all over the counter. My husband turned on the fan in the bedroom and cobwebs were spinning off of it. They left a note saying the fan lights in the living room and kitchen did not work. There was a light above the kitchen sink and lamps in the living room, but I was trying to do my nails for the wedding and could not see well enough to do them. They advertised a ironing board, but there was not one. When I reached out to ask where it was, she told me it was ruined in the flood. She has since taken if off.

Awesome little get away!

I booked this cute little property for myself, sister and 82 year old mother to spend the weekend for a spring fest event. There was plenty of space for us. 2 bedrooms and an additional room with two twin beds. It was perfect. The host gave us recommendations on a couple little towns to go to for cute shops only 20 minutes away. Waupaca & King. There are 3 bar restaurants within a mile and a half or so. Great options! Nice quiet neighborhood and it was great to be on the river. Super fast communication with the host. I can't say enough about how happy we were. Cell signal was fine for using hot spot for internet. Great little spot!

Hello! Thanks for your review! The AC works fine. Its a window unit in the room with twin beds. You turn it on and then put furnace fan to on and it filters through the whole house. I'm sorry it wasn't clear for you. I would have showed you when we got here to pick up our fish. There is a notebook with instructions on the microwave. Sorry you struggled! Thank you for your cleanliness!

I know the host will most likely reply to this message and say I’m wrong, but I am not lying. I understand this property went through a flood a month and a half prior, but still, if this property is not clean and ready, then don’t rent it. I found 3 spiders in one of the beds, one was dead. Several spiders on the ceilings and walls. Cobwebs over lamps and around ceiling. Dead bugs on countertops and behind coffee pot. We have stayed on river property before and it doesn’t mean it has to be garbage inside. Very dirty. I had to find the duster and get all the cobwebs off the ceilings, and vacuum up the spiders and cobwebs off the ceilings and corners because my kids were with us. After I spent my time cleaning instead of enjoying my time, I decided to shake out the beds, and thank goodness I did because there spiders in one of them. I wish I would have taken pictures of the spiders in the bed but I never went through this before and never had a host call me liar. I did take a few pics of a few things before leaving. Spend your money some place cleaner, you’ll have a more enjoyable time. Some of the photos are are spots after I killed spiders. Best I could do after the fact.

This guest was a prima Donna. Would NEVER rent to her again. I..the owner cleaned it myself as we stay there as a family. I ALWAYS clean as if my family would be coming. The homes next to us were still uninhabitable. I personally washed the sheets and made beds. Yes the flood took a toll and there are still families misplaced from their homes. I did not call her a liar. She called herself a liar. Wanted something for nothing. DO NOT RENT TO THIS WOMAN.
