Refroidir South Side au coeur des plaines

Notre maison au coeur du quartier historique de South Side Flats, se trouve à cinq minutes du centre-ville de Pittsburgh pour revitaliser. Notre emplacement offre un accès facile à tous les stades de Pittsburgh, le sentier Riverfront et shopping. À seulement 10 minutes des principales universités et institutions médicales d’Oakland. Près des grands parcs et des musées.
Notre premier étage, 5 pièces suite peut accueillir jusqu'à 4 personnes avec cuisine, 1. 5 salles de bains, et un petit jardin. Situé à quelques pas du quartier le plus excitant de Pittsburgh!
Avec des briques apparentes, des ventilateurs de plafond et un mélange éclectique de meubles rassemblés au fil des ans, notre maison, âgée de plus de 100 ans, accueille des invités qui apprécient le confort de leur maison et les émotions d'une ville étonnante. Notre établissement est à seulement quelques pas du "quartier des divertissements" de Pittsburgh et à proximité de toutes les commodités principales que la ville a à offrir. Sachez qu’il y aura des bruits extérieurs du quartier la nuit car nous ne sommes assis qu’à un demi pâté de maisons de la principale zone de divertissement.
Nos clients ont un accès complet au 5ème appartement privé situé au 1er étage. 2 chambres à coucher, cuisine, grand salon / salle à manger, 1 & 1/2 baths, et une entrée privée. Veuillez noter que l'accès à la cuisine et à la 2ème chambre se fait par la 1ère chambre, mais nous fournissons des écrans et des rideaux de confidentialité pour votre confort. La deuxième chambre a des portes doubles qui ferment le reste de l'appartement.
Au printemps de chaque année, nous travaillons sur le petit jardin de ville adjacent, qui est en fleurs jusqu'à l'automne, et nos clients ont un accès complet. Notre terrasse, au deuxième étage, est disponible uniquement sur demande.

Excellent stay!

We had an extremely enjoyable stay here. Located on the South Side with walking distance to restaurants and bars, and an easy 10 min ride to the Strip District. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, a large kitchen and living room gave us lots of space to relax and perform work. Would definitely stay again. Owners were very easy to communicate with!

Great stay

Really cool spot. Seems like it used to be a storefront and keeps the same layout with converting into an apartment. Funky decor using the space well. Very centralized location close to everything. Cool neighborhood. Great communication with owners!

Just what we needed

Attended a daughter’s CMU graduation with my father and this property was just what we needed for the visit. We did need Uber to get to CMU but the trips where about $16.

Quick stay in Southside Flats

We were in town to visit our nephew at Carnegie Mellon and decided to check out this neighborhood. The apartment was bigger than we expected but otherwise was exactly as described! The owners were very easy to work with and they made sure we had everything we needed. Downtown Pittsburgh was within walking distance but we had two great meals right in Southside Flats. We’d definitely come back to this property!

Eclectic Hideaway

Overall a comfortable & clean little find tucked inside this old storefront. We had fun looking at the many unique antiques & blasts from the past. Within walking distance of a few bars & shops. The parking is certainly challenging for non-city folks but the owners were wonderful in helping us navigate & understand where parking is available. My one request would be updated towels & washrags , but they were clean & the beds were comfortable.

In The Middle of It All

Booking and arrival were super easy. Parking was a bit of a challenge so be aware. The apartment was super eclectic and just what we wanted. Had some issues trying tonregulate the heat but after speaking with the owner were able to get it to manageable. The noise a lit of reviews spoke about was nonexistent for us. Loved being right in the middle of all the action. Will definitely be back.

Comfortable spacious accomodations

Everything was wonderful in the apartment ! Plenty of towels, TP, garbage bags, tissues, etc. Great written info and instructions. Very comfortable ! Only suggestion for improvement is that there's only one small TV in the living room; would be great to have one in the bedroom. The South side is very noisy on weekend nights and parking is extremely difficult to find, but that cannot be changed.... travelers just need to be aware.

Parking and communication

Great facility, clean and spacious. Was led to believe we had designated parking. Host was advised my daughter had a bad knee problem. Each night parking was at least 1/1/2 blocks from our rental or wherever we could find a spot. Host contact was terrible. I left a voice mail at 10.30 Saturday requesting a meet. No call back as yet.

Easy, convenient, quiet

This is a quirky little "bohemian" style apartment in what appears to be an up-and-coming hipster area of town. It is less than a block off of the main drag, which is home to lots of funky restaurants and bars. It was perfect for our short stay - the bedrooms were quiet and we were warm and comfortable. My only suggestion is that if you are planning to visit, bring a couple of extension cords because the power outlets are in odd places. This is true especially in the kitchen, where food prep space is kind of limited. But who needs to cook with all of the great food options nearby? We would definitely stay there again.

Excellent Location and Atmosphere

I have always loved the South Side and this location fit perfectly with our intent to walk our favorite sections of the city. East access to the South Side watering holes and the 10th Street Bridge to explore other walkable areas. The decorations in the apartment have a cool vibe and the beds were both comfortable. The cable TV was also a nice perk. I plan to stay again on my next Pittsburgh adventure.

Exceptional property/ wonderful hosts

The property is fabulous. Very classy yet extremely comfortable. Super soft sheets and nice ceiling fans and air conditioning. Tastefully decorated to create a very artistic and inviting atmosphere. The bedrooms are very quiet (although there is a bit of typical city humming in the front living room). Lots of extra soft blankets and fluffy towels. Hosts live next door and are very warm and caring. They provided a bottle of my now-favorite red wine as a welcome gift. Prepare to pay for parking (through convenient phone app that allows time extensions) if you want to park directly in front of property (or park a block away from property for free). My daughter is a student at Pitt and it is a ten minute ride from campus. HIGHLY recommended!!!

We live on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the house and we are available to answer questions or offer suggestions during the day. As owners of a retail business in a nearby Pittsburgh neighborhood, a short drive from our property, we are at home either early mornings or at the end of the workday, but always available by text, email or telephone.

Our guests have full access to the private, 1st floor, 5 room apartment; 2 bedrooms, kitchen, large living room/dining area, 1 & 1/2 baths, and a private entrance. Access to the kitchen and 2nd bedroom is through the 1st bedroom, but we provide privacy screens and curtains for your comfort. The second bedroom has double doors that close off the rest of the apartment.
In the Spring of each year we work on the adjoining small city garden, which is in bloom through Fall, and our guests have full access. Our deck, on the second floor, is available only upon request.
