Top Three Best Places Ever!!!

Book this beautiful place! The best place ever! We enjoyed our stay and loved sitting on the front porch looking out over Lake Travis. This is such a comfortable place to stay and read books! It's close enough to Austin and far enough away that you can enjoy the peace and quiet. Amazing!

Super quite, hidden country cabin with views of the lake

Wonderful little cabin in the hills, overlooking the lake. Deer in the front yard, relaxing front deck and everything you need inside to enjoy your stay. Reminds me of "Yellowstone".

The Rockhouse rock

The best place to retreat or getaway with your wife. The experience was above expectations, we were celebrating our anniversary and was amazing. We was greeted by the Deers and the owner Harold took us to the lake the first day. We love the place and definitely we’re going to come back. Ann and Harold, Thank you for your hospitality!

Whether you are looking for solitude and a place to unwind or a convenient location to the activities on Lake Travis, this house can satisfy a variety of needs and is a short drive from Austin. Sometimes you hit the jackpot!

Every once in a while, and we have staid in well over 150 STR, you find everything is as you hoped, and think you booked. This cabin has been lovingly constructed over many years. The craftsmanship and the attention to detail enveloped us on arrival. We needed a long weekend, not far from our home in Austin but far enough. From the long evenings on the porch, our day on the lake to our fabulous meals made in a kitchen set up for cooking. We enjoyed coffee while the deer ate and our interaction with the owners. Really this place is perfect and we will be back.

Charming Texas cabin with the perfect front porch. The little deer were right with us while playing horseshoes. Our son & daughter that live in Austin came to visit & enjoyed the fox & turkey sitings. We played Gin rummy into the night listening to some music provided at cabin. Grilled & visited the lake for some fishing. Hiked the Greenbelt. Cabin has EVERYTHING you need & SUPER comfy. Hubby loved it. Store close by. Tree fort in pic sadly not accessible

One With Nature!

This was another splendid Wedding Anniversary spent @ The Rock House…we may be embarking on a tradition. Whether we’re feeding wildlife by hand, relaxing in the claw foot tub or taking in the intoxicating view of Lake Travis from the porch rocking chair, this getaway will NOT disappoint! I could go on about the house itself, but you’ll have to trust me it’s cozy~clever. Every need was anticipated, attention to detail is very witty. It’s an Experience to be had! Owner Ann is a beautiful, kind, funny delight, that i wish was my neighbor at home. Thank you to my incredible husband, for the planning & bringing me back to love & memories galore.

Disappointed

It’s a beautiful place. However there are three major issues, the privacy fence is not even close to doing its job right next to the owners dwelling pass him and all his friends out drinking to get to the rock house not much privacy at all ☹️ The second is you have to wipe after using the toilet and put it in a trash can the whole stay no flushing then when u check out collect all garbage and put it into a can under the front porch 🤨 the third is bed is so firm my husband ( who just had a hip replacement surgery 6 weeks ago) woke up hurting every 15 to 20 minutes and my back and ribs that I broke a month ago were super painful after paying which I consider a good amount a night very disappointing.

20th Wedding Anniversary!!!

We had stayed here for our 16th Wedding Anniversary, four years ago and feel in love with this place!! 4 years later, we came back to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary and this cabin was just as we remembered!! ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! Enjoyed sitting on the porch, listening to the rain!! We made friends with a family of deer, who would visit everyday, as we sat on the porch and they ate their corn…provided by the owners. This place has everything you need to cook, so just enjoyed staying in and making meals!!! We will definitely be back!! Thank you Nelson and Ann!!

The cabin was everything we could dream of and more - wish our schedule allowed us to stay longer!

Memorial Weekend Getaway

The Rock House is a tranquil well kept slice of paradise! We enjoyed a nice relaxing stay, fed the deer off the front porch, nice view of the lake and easy access to the water. The interior decorations including many reclaimed items like the front door and butcher block in the kitchen are a very nice touch. We're looking forward to being able to stay again soon

Perfect weekend getaway

This property was everything promised and so much more. The locations is peaceful and the neighborhood quite and the host were very respectful of our privacy, yet welcoming and within easy reach if we needed anything. The Rock House itself is a work of art. Lovingly and tastefully decorated and exceptional well equipped. The house has literally everything you need.
