Why John or Pamela Sackmann chose Front Range

We fell in love with this area of Colorado while visiting in the summer of 2008, and after a few years of searching, found this home. There is so much to do here, that even though we visit as often as possible, there is still much to explore!

What makes this house unique

The views from the home are just beautiful. Even though there are so many activities to choose from, we also love just relaxing at the house and enjoying the mountains.

Thank you for such a great place to retreat to and get away! Exceeded our expectations! Quiet, great views, and spacious living space. Would definitely recommend to those wanting to get away from it all!

nice spot for seclusion and stars

  • 3 of 5

Nice house in a secluded location - quiet and peaceful, with few neighbors around. The living areas are spacious and open - board games and DVDs are available for use. The kitchen is well appointed with spices, pots, pans, etc. The hot tub is nice, and quite relaxing for an evening of stargazing. Two bedrooms, as pictured. There is one small bathroom. Instructions on how to use things are posted around the house. Use the driving directions they send you - the items underneath each instruction are very helpful tips! Some negatives: The beds are not great for people with back issues (the King was very soft and difficult to get out of, especially for the person sleeping near the wall) and the rooms are a bit cramped. The check out time is 10am, not 11am as the listing stated when we booked. The cleaning crew forgot to clean before we arrived, but the owners were very good about helping us find replacement linens for the evening. Tips: We did not have cell reception while we were there, but there is a landline and limited wifi that allows for internet based audio calls. It is quiet, but the main bedroom is on the side with a street - there were some motorcycles that went by while we were up there (not too late in the night though), and a portable noise machine was helpful for that.

Owner's Response: If the house is secluded and private, how can you state that the main bedroom is near a road? Completely contradictory, and an outright lie. The house is on our own LONG, private driveway. The bedrooms are nowhere near any road. And the bedrooms are small because people don't come to Colorado to stay in bed. Most people are there to be outside and in the very roomy common living areas.

Great house with beautiful views!

  • 5 of 5

The house was in a good location for day trips to all the amazing places in the area. Our toddler loved exploring the yard with all the wildflowers, rocks and chipmunks. The hot tub was great for relaxing after a long day on the trails. Definitely recommend this house!

Beautiful location, nice rental, could not have asked for more!

  • 5 of 5

I only wish we could have stayed longer. It was very quiet and scenic. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable night's stay. I would recommend this rental.

Great, peaceful and relaxing accomodations!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this mountain getaway home before moving our daughter into college in Boulder. It was a great location to many hiking trails and to Boulder. The home was perfect and it was exactly what we needed before saying goodbye to our daughter. The hot tub was great after long hikes, the fire pit was relaxing and great place to watch the sunset. The home itself had everything we needed and was perfect. We have rented many times through VRBO and have never had a bad experience, but this place was the perfect experience. John and Pam were very easy to work with and very prompt in responses. They gave great directions to their beautiful mountain home. Thank you for giving us the family time we needed before saying goodbye to our daughter. Your home is beautiful!
