Welcome to our charming 2-bedroom vacation home & ranch in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas! Nestled on a hilltop with STUNNING VIEWS, it's just a 15 minute drive to charming Comfort, TX and a 25-minute drive from Fredericksburg, TX. Our Ranch offers a romantic and fun escape for your next getaway! Relax on the porch and watch the sky change colors, or watch the numerous wildlife and birds. You can see deer, foxes, armadillos, road runners, wild pigs and more! In the kitchen, you'll find all the essentials- stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, built in microwave, K-cup and drip coffee maker and more. Prepare delicious meals inside or out on the pavilion on our propane grill with a view! When it's time to unwind, retreat to the bathroom stocked with towels and basic toiletries, or take advantage of the central air conditioning/heat and linens to enjoy a restful night's sleep. For added convenience, you'll have access to parking, an iron and board, and a selection of games, books, or just watch the wildlife from big front windows. Whether you're seeking a peaceful big land retreat or a fun-filled adventure, this vacation home has everything you need for an unforgettable stay. Most of our guests always think they are going to check out all the nearby towns and wineries, but end up staying at the ranch most of the time to enjoy the views, quietness, birds and wildlife!

We've had three wonderful stays at this incredibly peaceful, comfortable place. So restful to watch the sun set over the hills, watch the birds, foxes, and armadillos, and hike around exploring the property. Owners are very helpful and responsive. Kitchen is well equipped, and there are nice details like binoculars for guests. We'll be back!

Heaven on Earth

Val and Keith are exceptional hosts, and they have a wonderful piece of property. It’s at the dead end of an already remote road. Their cabin is truly a retreat. A fireplace insert isn’t just for aesthetics; it has a heater in it, and the central air/heat work very well. Once one discovers what is there, it is difficult to leave. We discovered at least 30 species of birds that call this property home. Also, expect to see fox, turkeys, rabbits,wild hogs, deer, squirrels, raccoons, and maybe animals we didn’t see.There are sitting areas positioned all over the yard for views of the hill country, sunrises, sunsets, and wildlife. Yards games and a patio kitchen also provide plenty of outdoor entertainment. There are also binoculars to view those long distance vistas. The stars at night are big and bright at this “deep in the heart of Texas” home! We look forward to returning to this VRBO. Val and Keith, keep up the great work!!!

Excellent get away!

We love staying at this beautiful cabin. The home is clean and well appointed, the views and wildlife viewing are outstanding. Valarie is excellent in communication and goes above and beyond as a host. We'll be back!

Loved our stay and we will probably come back

We loved our stay. The best parts were the view, the wildlife we saw, and the fact that we were had total privacy, no noisy neighbors. The fox visited at night, we saw deer a couple of times near the property and not to mention lots of cardinals around the bird feeders. Valerie and Keith were very helpful and responsive.

Awesome, quiet, getaway!

Nice, secluded cabin that does not disappoint. Clean, lots of wildlife and cozy. The Hunters are very nice and welcoming people who will also help with recommendations on just about everything. We hope to stay again. Thanks

Gorgeous View with Hummingbirds

We had a wonderful time! The house is situated on a hill with a spectacular view, and has been designed to take advantage of it. Huge windows with rocking chairs facing out makes it easy to enjoy the view regardless of the weather. The wildlife was an unexpected pleasure. The hummingbirds put on quite a show, and we saw many other birds, a deer with her fawn, armadillos and a fox. The hosts were very helpful and the house was well stocked with everything one might need. I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to enjoy nature and yet still be close to all the Hill Country has to offer.

Hill Country getaway

Relaxing hill country retreat!!

You cannot beat the absolute PEACE of this place! Perfect for the 2 of us celebrating our 10-year wedding anniversary. We just enjoyed the quiet and watching the deer, foxes, hummingbirds and more! Loved it!

tranquil and beautiful

This is our third time to stay here and absolutely LOVE it. It is so quite and peaceful. No vehicle or construction noise, just the birds singing (and several beautiful ones too). One of our favorite things is all the places you have to relax (front porch, outside under the sun, and under to car port with rockers and chairs). Lots of places to walk around too. Very beneficial that we get to use the gas grill and the games provided too.

Little slice if Heaven

What a perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of our crazy, busy lives and relax! The home is clean, well decorated and stocked with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The porch has amazing views of the beautiful Hill Country with the added bonus of lots of wildlife to watch. The only sounds you hear while here are the sounds of nature, the whirling of hummingbird wings, the calls of many variety of birds, occasional grunt of pigs or gobble of a turkey, then the deer stroll past. We have stayed at many VRBO homes, this one is the best!

Sweet Serenity

This place was amazing! It had the most breathtaking views. All the amenities needed - we enjoyed amazing sunsets and gorgeous mountain views. We saw deer near the house a few times. You can tell they enjoy it. This place was so nice and tucked away! I cannot recommend this place more. This was the perfect getaway for my husband and I.

True rest and relaxation

This place truly helps you relax and disconnect for some rest. The property is very clean and maintained inside you have all the necessities including the warmth and coziness of the hill country. Fantastic secluded cabin

Wonderful cabin! Loved the views from the front porch and all the local wildlife. We had a nice time grilling out and just enjoying the scenery. Great communication from the hosts, everything was perfect and I would love to come visit again

Hill country beauty

The beauty of the Hill country and to be able to unplug from everyday stuff was so much needed and very wonderful. We have stayed in the Hill country 15-20 times and this place by far was the best.. we will be back!!

So peaceful

This is our third time at the cabin, just love it. It is so relaxing, comfortable and very peaceful. Plan to go back many more times. One of our favorite things is the oversized covered parking/patio that has a built-in gas grill with several tables and chairs, so even if it is raining we can still be outside and take in the great view

We loved the location and the spectacular views.

Excellent location...wildlife and views. Beautiful sunrises...near luckenbach and Fredericksburg. Sisterdale is near by with great bbq at black board bbq. Go early. We plan to stay here again. Hosts are very nice too.

A "get away from it all" experience

We loved the 4 nights we stayed at this cabin. The peace and quiet were such a wonderful experience. The hummingbirds were a constant source of delight to watch. The fox came almost every evening to sit on the big flat rock and enjoyed the dog biscuits I laid out. The deer also came to say hello. A raccoon waddled by on the front porch one night while we were inside. The home was very clean and well loved. The hosts were very prompt answering any questions.

We have lived in this home on weekends and it is a perfect place to get a away from it all! We feel like we are on vacation every time we come here! Guests also notice the awesome view and how quiet it is. It's definitely out in the country. Good restaurants around or cook on the outdoor propane grill (with a view) or in the fully equipped kitchen. Our home is 15 years old and decorated in Hill Country charm! Best get away from it all! We bought and built this property because of the wonderful views of the Hill Country. You can't see another house from our large picture windows! It's really neat at night to see the stars or during a storm with it's panoramic views. Relax on the porch and look out for 50 miles from our hilltop home! Visit the local wineries and drink a few glasses of wine at sunset admiring the view and the wild life.

Lots of wildlife and birds to observe and enjoy! Awesome views out the many windows or from the front porch. We see whitetail deer, raccoons, fox, armadillos, wild pigs, Sage Jays, Painted Buntings, Hummingbirds and more! Very quiet, secluded and beautiful.
Enjoy our ranch by hiking or sit and enjoy the views and deer, fox, armadillos coming by!
Great location for many day trips to the fun and historic towns of the Hill Country or just to be on a quiet ranch with lots of land!
