Peaceful and Beautiful

My partner and I booked this cabin at the Gone West Ranch for Valentine’s Day weekend and had the most wonderful time. We felt so cozy and had everything we could ever need during our stay. Could not recommend this little place enough and we will absolutely be trying to come back sometime!

Great Hideaway!

We loved it! The cabin is very charming and our hosts thought of everything. The outdoor space is set up very comfortably with a fire pit, nice seating and even a swing. The cabin is nicely decorated and well appointed. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon.

Hill Country Paradise

The property was perfect. Came to Fredericksburg for the town but enjoyed spending the evenings/nights at the house by the firepit and a cold drink. This place is a great place to relax and reset.

One to remember!

We visited the cabin for the 2024 Eclipse as it was right in the centre of totality. Eclipse aside, we could not be happier with our stay. Everything was perfect! The place is even better than described and the photos show it. Pam and her family have thought about every last detail and the place is spotless. We particularly enjoyed the welcome gifts and just resting outside by the fire pit and in the swing chair. We fell in love with the place and the local area and would love to visit again someday.

Peaceful, Clean, and a Great Stay

The house and location were awesome - not a complaint to be had. We love this location as it's outside of town for peace and quiet, but a very easy drive in whenever you like. The property is clean, well-kept, and the beds are some of the most comfortable we've had while traveling! Host is responsive and kind. If you need a large kitchen table, you won't find it here - but there's a nice table outside and still plenty of living space in the living room/kitchen. This is our first choice of stay when we visit Fredericksburg and hope to be back soon!

Unsatisfactory

We could not get into the property and we couldn’t reach the owner or VRBO after trying for 1-1/2 hours Tuesday night . We had to get other accommodations. We also went to the Visitors Center Wednesday morning in Fredericksburg and spent another hour or so with them helping trying to contact the owner. Finally sent a message thru VRBO, but we already had other accommodations by the time we heard from her.

Awesome place

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and didn't realize it was October Fest. It was a short drive - 8 miles from Fredericksburg's Main Street. Perfect for us. Cottage is cute & the host was most gracious. The wildlife and stars were amazing. We will definitely book again.

Convenient country stay

Close to town, with plenty of country attributes. Great front porch for watching birds and wildlife. Everything from arrival to departure was very easy and efficient.

Weekend get away

We loved our stay at the cabin! So clean and had everything we needed. It was close enough to town to enjoy the wineries and downtown. It is fairly close to the highway so there was road noise but we still enjoyed our time on the porch!

Cozy little spot

Really enjoyed our time here. Host was very friendly and super helpful. My wife accidentally booked the wrong dates and the host helped us find a different property and helped us reschedule our stay for a later date. We really appreciated her helping us when she absolutely didn’t have to. The property was neat and clean. The cabin was decorated beautifully and felt like home. Would definitely stay here on our next trip.

Wonderful Cabin

Very clean, comfortable and well-appointed cabin. We had activities planned in Fredericksburg, Comfort and a show in Luckenbach, and the location of the cabin as our home base could not have been better. Great communication and check-in process. We look forward to coming back!

Neal and Pam Martin are originally from the Houston area, and decided to fulfill their dream of living in the Texas Hill County in 2015 by purchasing property near Fredericksburg, Texas. The cabin was completed in 2019, and while they lived in the barn and RV, they completed their home late 2021.
