Enjoy contactless vacationing at Stowe Quarters!

Located in the heart of Hatteras Island, Stowe Quarters offers a unique vacation experience. Residing above a small, upscale shopping plaza named Stowe on 12, Stowe Quarters is a three-bedroom condo that has access to shopping, easy beach access, and eateries all at very close proximity! Guests can choose from a King En Suite, and a King Bedroom which shares a full bathroom with a Pyramid Bunk bedroom. There is a living area, a kitchen, and a dining room table. In this open space condo, fun can be had with the pool table and shuffleboard.

Both pet-friendly and having easy beach access, this condo is perfect for quick getaways, OBX fishing trips, as well as weekend and week-long stays. For those that enjoy going to the pool while on vacation, simply walk across the street to get to the Sea Gull Motel pool.

Offering KEES' FlexStay program, you're able to choose your own vacation check-in or check-out dates at no additional cost!

This property has 3 parking spots for guests.

**Private outdoor community pools and/or waterpark play areas are available, weather permitting, beginning on Memorial Day and close after Labor Day. Please know that pool operating dates are subject to change at any point, for any reason.**

**Stowe Quarters is pet friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $185, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.

Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
Check-Out is 10am.

never rent from Kees vacation ever again

The AC broke down on the previous tenants in a converted attic apartment.. nothing resembling a cottage whatsoever. I was not informed of the problem prior to my arrival and The office staff was pathetic and avoided keeping up with me. I rented another house third day and left to another house for the remainder of my stay. I would NEVER EVER rent from Kees Vacation Rental Co.

Great location for Deep Sea Fishing Trip!

This property was exactly what we needed for an off season fishing trip. I will definitely be using again. My only complaint is that there needs to be instructions for the renter prior to arriving. The property is the attic level of a little shopping plaza, and there were no instructions on how to actually access the property, nor how to receive the door code. I had to call a number on the sign for 'Kees Vacation' and spoke with a very nice, but offsite representative. With some 'Check-in' directions on VRBO prior to arriving, it would've prevented us from driving around looking for the property.

Modern condo with lots of space and close to beach

This condo sits above the shops on Route 12. It seems fairly new and largely unused, so most of the amenities were quite good. It was clean and bright with a lot of open space. It has a pool table and shuffleboard, which were fun for the kids. And the kitchen is well-equipped and spacious for entertaining. The beds are comfortable and there is a laundry room to wash your things. Not much of a view, but the beach is just across the street (and through a parking lot and over a dune) and it is really nice. The shops downstairs are nice, especially the deli. The only complaint would be that most of the outlets in the unit did not work, so we had to keep moving phone chargers and the coffee maker around to find a working outlet. And if you plan to watch movies, bring your Apple TV or DVD player. There is only basic cable in the unit so very few options, especially for the kids. Overall, had a great stay.

Pros -Beach is so close and it takes only a few minutes to walk there -Pool is also as shown in the picture -Pet friendly -Inside is exactly like the pictures -Master-bedroom bathroom is nice -Two Heating/Air Units -Shops being open below was never an issue -Most items you need in the kitchen -Towels and Linens provided -Access Code worked well -Pool table was nice to have on a rainy day -Nice having Rokus in most rooms -Text from the vacation rental place everyday was nice. You can contact them all weekend if needed. -place was clean -Hatteras Island is very nice and quiet and has some family grocery stores nearby Cons -front bedroom sliding door does not lock and that is the kids bedroom with bunk beds -bunk beds could fall a part at any moment (they shake and wobble a lot when on them) -pet friendly but carpets could be cleaned or removed and updated due to stains -Kitchen needs a cookie sheet and a pizza cutter -Curtains in bedroom are very thin so some curtains that darken the room would be nice to keep out the early morning sun -Kind of hard to find-I had to ask someone at Kat’s Deli where the driveway was -some front porch chairs would be nice to have -no outdoor seating -Lights down below would be great for walking dogs at night. You are in complete darkness at night down there

Almost perfect

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. Even with COVID, this location provided us just the right level of seclusion. The cleaning crew forgot to clean one of the bathrooms, so that was a bummer. Other than that, it was a great stay. I would love to visit again.

Spacious and clean

It was very open floor and comfortable. My kids loved the pool table and shuffle board. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. Nice to have the washer/dryer all on the same floor. Bright rooms and great for pets. The deli downstairs was delicious (Kat’s deli). The downside was the mosquitos outside due to the drainage around the property. It rained a few days while we were there. Also, the balcony doors didn't lock. Master Shower door stuck to open/close and we had to unclog the drain the first night. There was also an empty box of beer outside on the balcony. All in all, the Stowe was well done. We will stay here again.

That property was nice and convenient. Wifi connected but with problems and couldn't use it all week. Dry broke but they did offer us to use the dryer across the street at the hotel. Would use it again.

Memorial Day Weekend

The place was larger than I thought, it was clean and perfect for our family with 2 kids. The location was close to everything including the little deli downstairs, where the staff were amazing, and they had a girl come and play live music on Sunday. The pool was across the street and the beach access. Maybe a 2 minute walk, not bad at all. The only thing I would change would be the bedding, when we arrived, the bunk beds were not made, not even the bottom, which it said in the description. The sheets were not meant for those beds, one was a twin size and the other had king size? We made it work, but just so someone knows. Also, the vent in the master bedroom where the ac blows out, had some black mold, someone should clean that. Condensation I'm sure. Overall, we would definitely recommend the place and will probably be back one day.

Place is nice and spacious but was gross

We were left with no sheets for two beds. It took them 2 days to bring some and the ones they brought had brown stains all on them. One shower had mold growing around the bottom floor pan and the other had a hair ball sitting on the ledge. Could be nice with a thorough cleaning and some more attention to detail.

Perfect location and very nice condo.

We loved the pool table and shuffle board table. Nice large apartment. We had 5 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us.

Good location and clean

The location and parking was good for a last minute mini vacation. When my party of 2 adults and 2 children arrived we found that the air conditioning was only functioning in half of the unit. The room where the children were supposed to sleep was very hot and muggy. We called 3 times and asked to have this repaired. A young man from the management company came and flipped the breaker off and on and then left, with no follow up. After calling again I was told someone would be there "in a few minutes" to repair it but no one ever came and we spent the remainder of our vacation occupying only half of the condo. The ice maker doesn't work. There are only a few cable channels available. There is heavy termite activity at the front door. The shower in the master bedroom leaks constantly. On a positive note, the water pressure was awesome. It was only a short walk across Hwy 12 to access the beach. The deli and ice cream shop located below the unit were awesome.

Not impressed, some of it may be out of their control though.

We stayed at Stowe during the power outage and I understand the unfortunate incident was out of their control. I'll leave the fact that we didn't have power and had to evacuate out of the review. I was not impressed with the customer service aspect of the trip. It would have been nice to have a heads up before we left on the day of the outage. The accident happened at 4:30 AM, we showed up at 4:00 PM and didn't here a word. It wasn't until Friday at 5:30 PM that an email went out. The place was dirty, carpets and furniture stained, a bed was not made, the screeen doors were broken, no dish towels were in the kitchen. I honestly suspect that having power would have uncover more things that didn't work as advertised. I think the place is over priced based on the experience we had.

Courtesy calls were made to guests that were affected by the power outage, but after researching your reservation, it looks like we were unable to speak with you directly. In addition, I do see that you stated that a bed was not made upon arrival; It is a KEES standard leave the top bunk unmade, but to provide sheets for the top mattresses to conserve water consumption and avoid wasted supply. Could not have been better!!!

This place was huge, we slept 6 adults and 8 children (ages 16 years through 6 months) comfortably. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked, the furniture was all comfortable and the pool and shuffleboard tables were a real hit. The pool access and walking distance to the beach were perfect with all the little ones and to top it off with the ice cream shop downstairs, we never had to leave!!! Just a shame we couldn't rate it more than five stars! This will definitely be our ongoing annual vacation home!!!
