Everything was very accommodating. Great place. Just be aware that the bears are real and respect them.

Hi Christopher,
Thank you so much for the perfect 10/10! We're thrilled you found everything accommodating and had a great stay. And yes — the bears are very real around here! We’re glad you respected them and enjoyed the true mountain experience. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!
Best,
Amazing stay. We had a momma bear and her 3 cubs show up at the house everyday we were there. The bears did try to get in the house a few times so make sure to lock all doors. It was a little sketchy loading the car this morning and i turned around and they were 10 feet from me. House is perfect for a family. The game room is excellent and we are probably going to make it a tradition to stay at this once a year. Only issue we had was that it needs more pots and pans. Other than that everything was perfect.

Thanks for your kind review and I will make sure their are more pots and pans for your next stay.
I think the location and size of the house are excellent. You drive maybe 10-15 minutes get there from downtown Gatlinburg. The roads are a little scary if you aren't used to them so be prepared, you're going up that mountain. The house is big, parking is convenient, and you are secluded but still close to town. Unfortunately, the house needs a LOT of TLC. I'm going to list out the issues that we came across.-The house was clean but not spotless. There was one long piece of dust hanging from the ceiling when we arrived and a dead bug inside the shower.-The floors are water damaged in the kitchen and it's obvious. There's a wave to the floor as you walk through it.-There were ants in the kitchen on the counter surrounding the sink and dishwasher. There did appear to be a trap under the sink. It wasn't working, they got our donuts.-The house lacked supplies. The message we got said they give "starter packs" of toilet paper/towels and soap but it was barely that. There wasn't even enough towels for all of us to shower. I get the message of trying to save the environment but I think when I'm paying for a week of rental it should include everything. The pans in the kitchen were in rough shape, I think we had two useable pans. There's a previous review that mentions these things. We saw it before we went but it wasn't there when we booked. A reply said it was being looked into but 6 months later, nothing has changed. If these issues were fixed it could be 10/10.

Hi Stephanie,
Thank you for the detailed 6/10 review and for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We're glad you liked the location, size, convenient parking, and the balance of being secluded yet close to Gatlinburg. I'm sorry the house fell short in several areas. The dust, dead bug, water-damaged kitchen floors, ants, and insufficient supplies (towels, pans, starter packs) are not up to our standards. We also see that some of these same issues were mentioned in a previous review, and they clearly haven't been fully resolved yet — that's on us. I've forwarded everything you listed to our maintenance and cleaning teams for immediate attention. We'll be addressing the floors, pest control, deeper cleaning, and stocking better supplies right away. We appreciate you pointing these things out so we can improve. If you're ever back in the area, we'd love the chance to host you again once everything is fully taken care of. Best,

Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
This cabin needs a lot and I mean a lot of TLC. Water damaged floors in the kitchen and downstairs. There is an ant infestation and it wasn't because we left food out or had dirty counters as I travel with Lysol wipes. So it was obvious the owners knows because there was raid under the sink. We also saw two mice. The doors look like they have not been wiped off in ages. The bathrooms all need work. None of the electrical outlets in the second bedroom worked. I tried to run the vacuum before we left and it wouldn't pick up anything. I have pictures to backup my statements. Definately not worth the 6 grand, which included fees, I paid for 6 nights. This was cabin while it had a beautiful view and was spacious that is about all I can say positive about it.

Thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your experience fell far short of expectations. Please know this is not the standard we aim to provide, and we sincerely apologize for the condition of the cabin during your stay.
We take all of your concerns very seriously—especially the reports of pests, cleanliness issues, and maintenance problems like the damaged flooring, non-working outlets, and vacuum. Your experience is unacceptable, and we’ve already scheduled a full inspection and maintenance review of the property to address each item mentioned.
We’re also investigating how this property was presented and prepared, as it’s clear improvements need to be made not just in the home itself but in the level of service and attention provided. We're grateful you took the time to document and report these issues, and we're committed to making things right—not only for future guests, but for you as well.
If you haven't already, we’d appreciate the opportunity to follow up directly. Please feel free to reach out to our guest services team so we can further address this matter.
