The Guest House

Cozy rustic cabin nestled in the Allegheny foothills with beautiful mountain views of Shawnee Lake. After you arrive, settle into the luxurious leather furniture in front of the gas fireplace with your favorite beverage. Outdoors, enjoy the sunrise or morning mists on one of the rockers on the 75-foot wrap around porch, or build memories with family and friends in the evenings around the fire ring. On crisp mornings, you will definitely appreciate the radiant floor heating. Although the cabin has a full kitchen, highly rated restaurants such as Jean Bonnet Tavern, 10/09 Kitchen, and LIFeSTYLE are just down the road. Located 8.5 miles from historic Bedford, fifteen miles from the Flight 93 Memorial, and within minutes of several ski resorts. We are not at our computer a lot so please call our home for questions or when arriving. 814-733-0119 Rate of $159 is based on double occupancy and 2 night minimum. Additional guests can be accommodated (up to 8 total) for $10 per guest per night. Located at 3569 Lincoln Highway, Schellsburg PA 15559

Tjhis is as shown, spacious and decorated in woodsy decor. It was inviting and fun. The fireplace wasn't needed because of the temps, but the views and the wrap-around porch give amazing views!The proximity of activities was perfect: orchards, covered bridges, Flight 93, and town.

The Guest House was delightful! It was comfortable, well-equipped and decorated with the cutest decor. A lot of pride had gone into the house and grounds. Research the Storyland Park. The view is so pretty from the front porch and you might see some wildlife. The beds were comfortable and there were extra pillows, blankets and towels. Wi-Fi worked great, too. The owners are nearby and very nice. Be prepared to contact them for check-in instructions. This adds a nice personal touch where we are so used to doing everything through apps. We had delicious meals at Jean Bonnet Tavern and 9 Mile Tavern-both very close. The Shawnee Country Market just down the road was surprisingly well stocked, including a deli, hot food, and great ice cream! The drive to the Flight 93 Memorial and Shawnee State Park were easy and picturesque. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful spot, loved the decor and the coziness of the cabin. Loved the gas fireplace as well. Check in and out was so easy…our daughter arrived before we did and she was able to interact with the hosts over the phone to check in. Close to Flight 93 Memorial site which is a must visit!!

Beautiful inside and out. Most comfortable recliner in the world. Surprised how close to the road it was located. No indication of proximity to the road that I recall in listings. Bottom line: I’ll be back!

long weekend with family

Myself, my husband, my brother and his wife, stayed at the cabin from Friday night until Monday morning. All of us greatly enjoyed our stay. The spacious cabin is beautifully decorated, well furnished, and clean. The beds and the rest of the furniture are quite comfortable. The cabin is very quiet and peaceful. The enclosed porch off of the main bedroom is lovely and I regret I didn't have time to enjoy it more. The cabin is very close to Shawnee State Park, and is also close to the lovely town of Bedford. It's not far at all from the Flight 93 National Memorial (9/11). We had no reason to talk with the owners other than when we checked in but they seem very nice and I'm sure they would have been helpful if we need them. We will definitely stay at this cabin again and I highly recommend it to others.

Piece of heaven

We loved everything. The layout is spacious for kids to run around but not underfoot. Very comfortable beds. Beautifully decorated. Kitchen /bathrooms fully stocked. One drawback, its a little dim. Tons of small lighting fixtures but need at least one overhead light somewhere in the main living area. We will be returning...multiple times. It's really a gem. ligu.....ihting fixtures but needs more light.

Great Place

Our family of 5 had a great weekend getaway! We were close to Shawnee State Park and not far from Old Bedford Village and Bedford itself. It was a cozy place for us to enjoy family time. The owners were super friendly!

Hidden Gem

The guest house is spacious and roomy . The kitchen has most everything you would need to cook. Hosts are more than happy to help with anything . We mostly enjoyed the porches and the cooler weather . Would recommend the guesthouse to anyone staying in the area .

The getaway

All very nice. Needs more light in the kitchen. Needs a toilet that's more of a high rise not a very low toilet. Owners are very nice. Trim bushes at satellite. TV had little service due to limbs/ leaves.

Way better than expected – a total treat!

My wife and I had an absolute blast in this cabin and in the surrounding [gorgeous] countryside. Our hosts couldn't have been more accommodating, including allowing us to check out late when we were a few minutes behind, as well as allowing us to use a nearby pavilion they personally owned. The house was immaculately clean and far more attractive in real life than the photos showed, and so was the exterior. We were expecting a nice, average cabin, but got much more than we bargained for! Thank you!

The cabin was absolutely perfect with all the extras I had forgot to pack. The interior decorations were amazing! The owners were so kind and accommodating. We went on a self guided covered bridge tour. The view from the front porch and sunroom off the master bedroom was breath taking! We will definitely be back!
