About Tana R Steiner
Hello Guests! My name is Tana R. Steiner, owner of GreyWood. I am a member of a 3rd generation native Montana family who has roots in Glacier Park for over 60 years. I am excited to share this gorgeous house with you. The pictures don't begin to describe the spacious, yet cozy, atmosphere of this home. While you are staying with us, we will be out at the family ranch just 6 miles away...feel free to visit us there also.
Tana R Steiner purchased this Lodge in 2012
Why Tana R Steiner chose East Glacier Park
My artistic dreams have always centered around design and architecture. This house definitely is the realization of both. I'm also attracted to the convenience of living on the property, located on the edge of town,on the 9th green, in a wonderful neighborhood, with views of Glacier and the creek out from off the decks in the evenings.
What makes this Lodge unique
This is a true log home, built magnificently by Alpine Log Homes, premier builders in Montana. Interestingly enough, the interior design was mine, the thought being, a contemporary log home 'of the West'. Stones from the creek, firewood from the ranch and many original art works will be here for your stay..please feel at home instantly ...just like I do...

Beautiful log house. Had everything we needed & great location. We spent most of our time hiking, so it was nice to have a clean comfortable house to come back to in the evenings. Beds were very comfortable & kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner. Only recommendation I have - it would be nice if more of the windows/doors had screens in them. We had a large group, so some of us slept in loft & we did find a magnetic screen to hang to let air flow in, but permanent screens would be nice since there are mosquitoes. Other than that, the place is awesome!! Thanks Tana!!
Luxury near the park
Wonderful house. Very comfortable. Easy access to Glacier National Park. Plan on coming back next year!
Great Views and Great Stay
Our family stayed here for six nights and had a great time exploring Glacier. East Glacier is a great small town and only about an hour or so away from the Many Glacier part of the park. Both the house and the surrounding property were beautiful!
Rent this One!
This is an awesome house and the owner is quite delightful. You can not go wrong with renting this property.
The house made our trip a memorable one!
What a great place for a family reunion. All the family members loved the house with its beautiful views and proximity to eating and shopping. We hope to return again next year!!!
I would give this place more than 5 stars if that was an option. Tana was fantastic and very responsive to all our questions. The home is clean and beautiful. The beds were also extremely comfortable. The price per night is well worth the view from the windows and the deck.
We went for the overall experience of Montana and to see Glacier National Park. I want to say it was a 30-45 minutes from the East entrance of the park. The views on the way were amazing though and the drive went by quickly. We enjoyed just hanging out at the home as well. There was a fox that frequented the property in the mornings and evenings. We saw elk one morning off in the distance in one of the fields. The best was during a BBQ one evening a black bear ran through the back of the property into the golf course across the way. I would say we definitely got our Montana experience. There are also very nice walks all over around the home including to the village with excellent food options.
Nestled on the edge of fabulous Glacier National Park.
spectacular Mountain, Creek and golf course views. Just 10 miles from Two Medicine Lake, one of Glacier National Park's best kept secrets.
