About Tana R Steiner
Hello Guests! My name is Tana R. Steiner, owner of GreyWood. I am a member of a 3rd generation native Montana family who has roots in Glacier Park for over 60 years. I am excited to share this gorgeous house with you. The pictures don't begin to describe the spacious, yet cozy, atmosphere of this home. While you are staying with us, we will be out at the family ranch just 6 miles away...feel free to visit us there also.
Tana R Steiner purchased this Lodge in 2012
Why Tana R Steiner chose East Glacier Park
My artistic dreams have always centered around design and architecture. This house definitely is the realization of both. I'm also attracted to the convenience of living on the property, located on the edge of town,on the 9th green, in a wonderful neighborhood, with views of Glacier and the creek out from off the decks in the evenings.
What makes this Lodge unique
This is a true log home, built magnificently by Alpine Log Homes, premier builders in Montana. Interestingly enough, the interior design was mine, the thought being, a contemporary log home 'of the West'. Stones from the creek, firewood from the ranch and many original art works will be here for your stay..please feel at home instantly ...just like I do...

A homey, gorgeous property perfectly located
The owner, Tana, ensured the house had everything to make our stay wonderful. Kitchen was fully equipped making our food preparation easy and fun. We also used the grill which was fantastic. Lovely dinning and living rooms, spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds and showers. Property is perfectly located for visiting Glacier National Park and is located on the outskirts of East Glacier just nearby a beautiful creek. Highly recommended!
Thank you for the wonderful review ! Your
Family was fun, energetic, thoughtful and super tidy , excellent guests ! Please come back and visit in Glacier again!
I would give this place more than 5 stars if that was an option. Tana was fantastic and very responsive to all our questions. The home is clean and beautiful. The beds were also extremely comfortable. The price per night is well worth the view from the windows and the deck.
We went for the overall experience of Montana and to see Glacier National Park. I want to say it was a 30-45 minutes from the East entrance of the park. The views on the way were amazing though and the drive went by quickly. We enjoyed just hanging out at the home as well. There was a fox that frequented the property in the mornings and evenings. We saw elk one morning off in the distance in one of the fields. The best was during a BBQ one evening a black bear ran through the back of the property into the golf course across the way. I would say we definitely got our Montana experience. There are also very nice walks all over around the home including to the village with excellent food options.
Fantastic property, fantastic location, attentive owner!
We could not have been more pleased with GreyWood. It was a well-maintained, spacious home in an ideal location minutes from Glacier National Park, East Glacier with restaurants and shops, and centrally located to visit a number of other park entrances.
In addition, Tana was gracious with information about the house, about the town, about grocery shopping, etc. We had a large group, and were easily able to sleep, cook, park and hang out with room to spare in a setting with great views of the mountains and Two Medicine River behind the property. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking to house a group near Glacier National Park.
Great place to stay
Wonderful lawn to play on, direct views to the mountains, cool new adriondack style patio furniture and outside dining experience.
Grand log house, with views of creek, golf course, Glacier Park. Beautiful new decks, and flowers
So spacious , clean and well decorated !
Wonderful family vacation in Glacier
The house was exactly as advertised. It was spotless, comfortable and beautiful. It looked just like the pictures only even better. Our extended family of 7 spent 9 days in Greywood. We used it as a base for hiking and touring Glacier NP. We loved watching the running of the horses every morning. The village is delightful and we enjoyed the little but great restaurants we could walk to. We hope to return and strongly advise anyone thinking of this area to enjoy Tana's wonderful home.
Wow, thanks for the great review. It sounds like a professional travel writer! I'm happy your family got to know Glaciers and the little village , an adventure,a story, a memory.
Nestled on the edge of fabulous Glacier National Park. spectacular Mountain, Creek and golf course views. Just 10 miles from Two Medicine Lake, one of Glacier National Park's best kept secrets.
