This was the perfect place for us to spend a week with our kids and grandkids. Centrally located to everything. Saw several elk feeding in the yard. Our grandkids ages 6, 5 & 3 had hours of fun playing outside on the deck and in the yard. Would definitely stay here again.
Loved the location
Great location! Communication w/ owner easy. Would rent again.
Simple and everything we needed
This was an older cozy home with easy access to RMNP and all the shops and restaurants in town. We enjoyed seeing wildlife right out the window...we counted over 60 turkey in one group!
Owners were easy to communicate with and accommodating. The heating in the house was sufficient although was quirky, which didn't bother us. Be aware that the stairway going up to the bunk room has extremely low ceiling, which was a little challenging moving luggage, but overall was not a big problem. In general, we found this very comfortable for 5 people and while sleeping options abound, the table only seats 6. We'll be back.
We had a great time at the property.
No problems at all. Everything went smoothly.
Great for a family
The location was perfect! It is an older home comfortably furnished and cozy. There is plenty of room outside for the little ones to play in the snow. We all enjoyed watching the deer and turkeys outside in the yard daily. We had a great time and will definitely book this place again on a return visit.

About Blaine and Jenny Moats
My wife and I live in Des Moines, Iowa. My cousin and co-owner, Bruce and Emily, live in Ft. Collins, CO. Every year my family meets up at the cabin with my mother from AZ and my sister's family from Denver for a family reunion. There is plenty of room for us all and we never get tired of the endless trails and beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park.
Blaine and Jenny Moats purchased this House in 2012
Why Blaine and Jenny Moats chose Estes Park
My Dad and Mom have rented this property since I was a teen. It's been 30 years and we still go back to this same cabin every year for a reunion. I have many memories growing up and vacationing here, and now we will have new memories with my wife and two daughters. We've had a dream of owning a property in Estes Park for many years and have looked at many cabins for sale in the last five years. But we always compared them to this cabin and were never satisfied. Recently, the owners we've known growing up decided to sell and we could not let it go. We know you will enjoy this property as our family, friends and previous renters have for over 30 years. We book up fast for Spring, Summer, and Fall.
What makes this House unique
We love this cabin because we can go to Rocky Mountain National Park within minutes or enjoy quiet time at home with timber and mountain views. If we need to go shopping or decide to head out for dinner, it's a quick trip in the opposite direction to downtown Estes Park. We are very close to downtown and many shops, a grocery store, and restaurants are within walking distance.
