Parisian Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

My friend, and work colleague, came to Paris for a medical conference, and

some Paris fun, and we were thrilled with this rental, Le Lutece .

It's spacious, well appointed and very Parisian! My friend was in the second bedroom, which was the size of most Paris apartments! We both had Queen beds, a large living area to work, fast Internet, free calls to Canada, and fully functional kitchen -- but why cook, when there are deli's, restaurants, bistros in every direction, and the amazing Rue Moufetard is a block or so away. The elevator was a plus, the managers were efficient and friendly, and the guest relations person, Christina, was helpful. They even rented us French cell phones for our stay. We'll be back with our families next time!

The Perfect Family Paris Rental!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, and our 2 teen girls, had the pleasure of staying in the Lutece, a perfect family apartment in the

stimulating, and beautiful Latin Quarter. The apartment was amazingly spacious! The girls, 13 and 15, had

a huge bedroom to themselves, that looked over the street. It was like a separate apartment, with room for their beds, and a sitting area with leather couch and chair. They would spend hours in there, and I would need to go find them in the morning because they would sleep so soundly. The rest of the apartment was well appointed, and comfy. It had it all, separate washer and dryer, necessary for our fashionable teens, and a complete kitchen for meals, when we didn't want to eat out. The street was safe and clean, and there was a market downstairs, bakery, deli, restaurants galore, all we needed! It was a comfortable, peaceful oasis for my family.

The reservation process was a breeze too--thanks to Steve and Christie!

Big spacious apartment with lots of amenities, well managed, but noisy

  • 3 of 5

The owner/manager took are professional and do a good job managing it, helping the guests. They provide lot of kitchen supplies, like oil, salt, sugar, spices, Laundry detergents, power adapters, map etc. These are very well appreciated. There is a small grocery store downstairs, which was fun to shop. I always had to drive to grocery in the US.

However, the the corner bedroom on the Rue Bernard is very noisy. France has many little scooters/motor bikes. They make very loud noise. There is signal light below the window. When these scooters stop there and the accelerate, it makes very unpleasant noise. The owner has installed double pane windows, we had their staff close the window well during our stay, but the noise level is high for theses window to handle. I hated these scooter noise during late night. All of us finally moved to the inner bedroom with bed prepared on the floor to have a good sleep.

The floor is very old. It makes squeeking noise when we walked. The area around the building was not very clean. In fact, when walked to the metro on Rue Arbalette or other street, there were bad smells. I expected Paris to be cleaner. But maybe it has to do with where I live in the USA. I expected a cleaner area.

I would stay near Champs Elysse in the future, now that I know more about Paris.

April in Paris

  • 5 of 5

Le Lutece was very charming and comfortable for three adult as a home base for our Paris explorations. The owners were exceptionally helpful and thoughtful. We really appreciated the conveniences to help us get started and the informational notebook was very helpful. Rue Moufftard was wonderful; we liked it even better than rue Clare. The metro station was 6 blocks away and the elevator at the end of a long day was a bonus. Beds were comfortable and it was great having a washer and dryer. We would definitely stay here again.

Family trip to Paris

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our time in the Latin Quarter and in Le Lutece. Was a great location, walking distance to Luxemborg Gardens and other sites. We walked to Notre Dame from the apartment too. Rue Moufftard was just around the corner and a fun place to dine or to find something to bring back to the apartment. The apartment itself was perfect for our family of 4 including a 16 year old and 13 year old. Everyone had their own space. Booking process and communication was excellent. We wish we had more than 5 days!

Amazing trip, great accommodations

  • 5 of 5

Old World Paris charm, and all the modern conveniences too!

We were 2 couples, on a tour of France, and we loved our stay in Le Lutece.

We did not lack for anything, including all the information concerning transportation, shopping and using the appliances.

You could hop on a bus just outside the entrance, and it was only a short walk to metro, the river, and all the sites of Paris.

In the morning we could run out for fresh croissants, pick up supplies (small market on corner), and after a long day out,

we would head for the stimulating Rue Mouffetard area, for wine, food and ambiance.

The kitchen was fully equipped, but no need to cook with all the great take out near by.

My husband and I slept in the large, second bedroom, and felt like we had our own apartment, with sofa and arm chair - amazing.

I have been to Paris several times but staying in an apartment is definitely the way to really experience this city and it's friendly people.

The reservation process, and check in and out, was very easy -- professional, friendly people to deal with.
